Highly recommend! We have some trees that we get trimmed regularly by some people who leave cards at the door and they're usually in an out doing all the trees in under an hour. They recommended chopping the whole top off one of our trees to make it smaller, which just seemed odd. I started looking online for a local arborist to consult before doing anything. So glad I did! Father Earth came out and evaluated. They helped me understand that if we had lopped off the top of our ginormous tree that it would've shrunk its lifespan dramatically. They ended up thinning and pruning back several trees. I wish we'd have contacted them sooner as we could've kept a few of the trees smaller with some more thoughtful trimming rather than the usual hacking we've had done. It was more expensive than the hacking, but ultimately the cheaper hacking had an unseen cost. If I could give more stars I would! Cristian and his team were exceptional to work with. We needed to remove a 30' Twisted Juniper tree in our backyard that had suddenly died. Cristian was phenomenal at coming out to survey the tree to validate its health and our options, and then immediately provide quotes and a schedule for removal. The actual removal work was extremely safe, clean, quick, and professional. Even how the team laid out the removed tree sections in the street before chipping and loading into their truck was clean and precise - little details that sometimes go unnoticed but can add up and make a big different. I met Cristian as a volunteer for a community event he helped organize to clean up an elderly couple's front yard. I am a dedicated gardener and was impressed by his knowledge and caring and the thoughtful manner in which he approached the project. We have a number of citrus trees, including several that are 50+ years old. Our citrus had seen better days and were mishappen from poor trimming over the years. The older citrus trees had a lot of dead growth, and I was at the point where I was thinking the trees were dying and would have to be removed, but I was reluctant to do so, because even though their yields were steadily declining, the fruit was amazing. We also have three large liquid amber trees along with a number of older camellias and Japanese maples, all of which needed to be cleaned out and trimmed. The liquid ambers were in particular need of a trimming, but I was reluctant to do so because of the hack jobs I had seen from other tree services in our neighborhood. For a modest fee, which he applied to his quote, Cristian came out to our home. He spent over two hours with me, looking at every tree, listening and answering my questions. He explained to me what care he felt was needed for my plants from trimming to fertilizing to mulching and watering. He shared with me how he would trim and treat the citrus to remove dead growth, promote new growth, and bring down the canopy in a manner that would help bring back their shape. I was amazed at how knowledgeable he was and how thoughtful he was in assessing everything. Cristian took pictures of every tree. His quote, which was very reasonable, included a picture of every tree along with a price breakdown for each and an explanation of what he proposed to do so that I could determine the scope of the project. Cristian and his assistant arrived on time as scheduled. They worked until the project was completed, and they cleaned up everything. Watching Cristian work, I could tell he has a passion for what he does. He was thoughtful about every cut that he made, not just for the immediate look but also to promote desired growth in the future. Our liquid ambers, camellia's, and Japanese maples look beautiful. They are clean and airy. There are no telltale stumpy tree limbs you frequently see from other tree trimmers. In addition to trimming the citrus, Cristian suggested debriding the roots and injecting an organic fertilizer. Our old citrus trees are showing amazing new growth and looking better than they have in years, and our younger citrus trees have more blossoms and fruit than ever. Several days later, I was looking at one of the Japanese maples. I saw something in the tree. At first glance, it looks like a small branch that had been cut and not removed. When I looked more closely though, I realized that it was a small hanging bird's nest. Cristian had carefully trimmed the entire tree without disturbing the bird's nest!
