Only recently stated shopping hear because of the prices. everything i've bought here was defective! Vapes either tasted like sh*t after a singular day, or died way sooner than the same brand would anywhere else. no wonder their prices are cheap! it's a scam. Soooo I'm a 30-something mom and wife that used to frequent Fatty's with her middle aged grey bearded husband. Today we went in, I didn't have my wallet (my husband had his) to browse on a Wednesday around 2pm. Been a regular shopper 1-2 a month, never been carded in the store (ya know since I'm in my 30s and very obviously past the legal age.. ) No sooner than I walked in, I was abruptly asked about my ID (in a VERY ugly tone from the back of the store, couldn't even see the guy at first) Not even a hello, welcome to Fatty's, hey how's it going. I mentioned my husband had his and he could pick whatever out and I wouldn't touch anything. That's when he(6ft tall, oily chubby face, crappy eyebrows and greasy pomade hairstyle) told me "No you can't be in here). Mind you, rudely. There's a way to enforce policy and flat out being RUDE is not it. I mentioned coming in there all the time without *my* wallet when my husband had his. Another guy with a frizzy man bun walks away mumbling about high school students without IDs trying to buy jewel pipes. (Idk) Sooo myself with grey hair on my temples and wrinkles around forehead (very obviously in my 30s) GENUINELY says "So when we were in here Saturday night, did you guys not need it since it wasn't a school day?) literally 4 days ago, we were here and spent $90, like always. I'm thinking it's a Wednesday afternoon, high school kids I get it) To which badly groomed eyebrowed, greasy hair guy ignores the legitimate question I asked, puts his hands up and asks me in the most condescending tone "ooooooh is someone getting an attitude?" Me: "no I'm genuinely asking because we're in here all the time and this is a first" (again, middle aged mom of 4, wearing bifocals who's put her time in retail and usually is very empathetic towards folks in retail) Him: arguing, literally said "Um yes you did get an attitude" while smugly smiling in a similar tone like Felicia from the movie Friday, complete with the head bopping and blowing vapor across the counter in my face. I don't even know what to think about it all. As a customer for 4+ years, I was treated poorly enough to never come back and to tel everyone I know about what happened. Social media is great for sharing experiences JUST like this. My advice- teach your younger employer to be kind to your older customers. We weren't punk ass high schoolers trying to illegally purchase vapes and don't deserve to be met with the condescending attitude that we received today from the 6 foot tall chubby faced, skinny white guy with poorly shaped eyebrows and pomade wannabe hairstyle. And since this will likely be addressed and the douche bag will remember me.. (since I directly told him the guy with purple hair that USUALLY WORKS was/is way nicer than him) as I went to leave. He continued with more condescending commentary as I walked out to which I responded GFY dude. (I'm sorry to any other customers in the store, but I've put my time in retail and have NEVER treated any of my own customers like this) The male employee with the purple hair is amazing, and is usually who helps us... but two numnuts working today sucked bunghole. Also, I'm like 99% the dude with the frizzy, thinning man bun came out of the back room after hitting a dab pen. He looked higher than bird pussy and they both have dramatically altered my opinion of Fatty's in a negative way. I love FATTY'S. I was there recently & a guy came in w/o mask. Employee offered customer a mask($2). Customer went out & came back in wearing a mask. As for people who claim they can't wear mask for health reasons that's BS. I've seen elderly persons on oxygen wearing a mask. Don't get me wrong. I don't think Government should have the power to make us wear masks but I do deliver businesses DO. Actions/choices have consequences.
