Had a steering light come on and called since it should be under warranty. Explained how it can be super dangerous to lose steering. They scheduled me out a full week. I once again explained that I would like it to get in earlier because steering failing is way more dangerous than AC not working. Come Saturday. Steering totally fails. I ask for them to send a tow because what I told them could happen...:: did happen. I was told to call roadside myself or they could give me a tow companies number. The vehicle arrives at the dealership and I requested them to run a scan on the car to see preliminarily how long I would have to have another car and be out of my car. The service department refused to do that because my appointment wasn't until Monday. No loaner car was offered. My car went in at 7:40 AM on Monday and they did not contact me until 3:40 PM and let me know that my car would not be ready till friday or Monday and only now asked if I needed a loaner car. If the service department would have listened to the customer, this possibly could have been avoided altogether. But I was treated like I didn't know anything and due to the fact that I cannot take my car to another mechanic because it is a warranty issue. I feel as though I was placed to the side. read more

I bought a Chevy Silverado from them a few weeks ago the day I drove it home when I would try to stop the vehicle the steering wheel would shake in the brake pedal would shake. I called multiple times they insisted my brakes were fine and they passed their inspection. I took it back one time to look at something else and why they were there. They said they checked the brakes and they were fine. I kept saying there was a problem. Finally, after weeks of persistence, I took it back this morning and they actually did a test and they figured out what was going on. They said the previous had put aftermarket pads on the rotors and it was causing a problem. They said in order to fix it. It would cost $1200 and they took zero responsibility to address it when I called them the first day after I bought the truck now I'm on the hook to pay everything to get it fixed never buy a vehicle from here. read more

I would not recommend buying a car from them -- they were very dishonest with me. As an elderly woman who is still working, I was very clear that my number one priority was concierge service for my service appointments. They guaranteed me that was available (I had gotten that on all previous cars), and once they cashed my check I was told that wasn't true. A classic bait and switch, and I never would have bought my car from them had I known. It took me a month of effort to be able to speak to someone in person, and their "apology" was as lame and insincere as the rest of my experience. I wrote this review right after purchasing my Hybrid RAV4 in October but saved it for six months to ensure my thoughts remained true and the car was the real deal (and not a lemon), and both are 100% the case, so here goes: My parents have been buying Toyotas from this dealership, specifically from Alan Rhode, for years. When it was my turn to buy my first car, there was no question -- a Toyota from Alan was the move. And I am so, so glad I did. Alan wrote the definition of what car buying should be, and I now understand why my parents kept going back. He is happy, helpful, patient, transparent, and overall just easy to work with. There are no games with Alan, just trust, honesty, and helpful information. I am SO happy with every detail of my car. The finance manager, Jordan, who handled my loan, was also incredible. I've been coming here for my maintenance since I moved around the area about 5yrs ago. I have worked with 3 different service associates and they all were pretty professional and honest, not forcing you to do any services if your vehicle doesn't requires. I also have a few times working with one of their sales associates. Service wise, I believe I would prefer Faulkner. Sales wise, I think the sales associates I worked with at another location seems to be more friendly and polite to me. And buying parts definitely refers back to Faulkner because even if it's same part, other Toyota location actually charges different and higher price than Faulkner. read more

We had a terrible experience with this dealership. It was a very rainy day when we went to look at a Highlander that was listed for sale. My wife felt she was being pressured through the whole process. She tried to mention that she may be interested in RAV4 and the salesman cut her off an kept her 'focused' on the Highlander. She felt railroaded into getting this car. The standard unprofessional bad dealer behavior that I was shocked was still prevalent happened at this dealership. I sent an email to one of the Sales Managers explaining these issues. The manager did not address any of these issues involving my wife and the salesman that I had mentioned but said to just bring it in for a trade in. One positive thing did happen during this process, she had a flat tire on the way home from the dealership and the service department replaced the damaged tire for no charge. I received extremely poor service today From Toyota of Trevose .Service advisor David Martini attempted to cheat me on my state inspection and tried to charge me close to $1,000 on repairs to pass my inspection. He stated I needed new 2 tires because of dry rot and a nail . He also stated I needed rear brakes , and windshield wipers..., I was suspicious that he was trying to cheat me and I stopped service immediately. He failed my inspection. I took my vehicle to a local shop . They stated my vehicle was in good shape. They said very little dry rot, nothing to worry about and. no nail in tire and my brakes were good condition . Bad Experience My wife and I wished to purchase a new Grand Toyota Highlander Hybrid and went to this dealership. We met with a sales consultant, Phil Y. Gersh who was a very nice man and he assured us he would try to locate the car we wanted. I must be noted that there are not many of those vehicles available. The first night we both met with Mr. Gersh he had an interaction with his manager which we overheard and the manager did not treat him well. Anyhow Mr. Gersh said he would attempt to locate a vehicle and contact if he found one. This past Thursday I got a call from Mr. Gersh advising that he had the car we wanted and if I could come down to the dealership. I was out of the area and my wife was at work but I told him I could be there in about an hour and a half. I also said I would stop at the bank and get out $500.00 for a deposit if in fact it was the car we wanted as my wife would not be able to get there for a couple hours. We were planning on trading in her car but she had the vehicle with her. I arrived and Mr. Gersh went to the managers office to get the key at which time the manager again gave him a hard time and said someone else was looking at the vehicle. The car looked great and I told Mr. Gersh it was a go. He asked me when my wife could get there to appraise our vehicle and I told him she would not be able to get there for two hours or so. He started doing some paperwork and then left and came and said the manager sold the vehicle to the other person. He said that they had another similar one that I could look at however it did not have all the same amenities. I looked at it and it was ok but I questioned a couple things one of which was the floor mats. We had wanted all weather mats but this one had carpeted floor mats that were still in the bag which he said I can keep and that they would then order the All weather mats at a cost and that they would install them. I wasn't happy with at which point the manager came over and said if you don't want the car fine you can just wait till we get the one you want even though he sold the one I wanted to someone else. You would think he would have offered to just switch out the mats? He was somewhat condescending in his attitude and the he left. I do not know that managers name all I know is that he was not the General Manager. Mr. Gersh was very apologetic about the proceeding but he said there was nothing he could do. I recently dropped off my 2021 Rav4 to Faulkner Toyota Trevose for my 2024 State Inspection. The Service Advisor, David M. called me to tell me that I needed a new set of tires. I said how could that be I only have 34,000 miles on the car and the tires are guaranteed for 50,000. He stated that my car was out of alignment and therefore wearing on the tires. I told David to stop the inspection and I will come to pick up the car. He said that I have to sign a form because it was unsafe for me to drive my car due to the worn tires. Subsequently, I took my vehicle to a reputable auto service mechanic to complete the inspection and lo and behold my car is not out of alignment nor do the tires need to be replaced!!! The funny part about this is that a few years back I took my, at the time, Sonata Hyundai to Faulkner Hyundai for inspection and had the very same experience. The service advisor told me I need a new set of tires. Apparently, he did not check my service records to see that they sold me a new set of tires approximately 10 months prior! I thought that was just a one-time dishonest service advisor but apparently it is a "Faulkner" thing. They see an old lady coming and think she gullible. I bought 2014 Toyota Camry back in January in California. I got that car from previous owner and didn't notice that it had some transmission issues. After googling the problems I figured out that it was factory defect and those cars got recalled. And i was really surprised that my car still was on extended warranty, but after moving to east coast i was told that I don't have any kind of warranty for transmission by 4 different Toyota dealerships. But for my luck this life saver dealership helped me to replace all the defected parts and also refilled every fluid tanks under the hood. They didn't charge for anything. I'm not one to write reviews but this needed to be put out there so this does not happen to anyone else. On March 22nd I had an appointment to go look at a 21 Toyota Supra that was certified. I was fully ready to move forward and brought all info needed to make it as seamless as possible. We agreed on numbers and had one approval from the bank. I was told we were waiting to see if Toyota Financial had a better rate and that the only person that could call was the GM. This was after 5 and I was told that the GM won't be back till Monday. So we left and were going to wait till then. Paul (our "sales person" if you call him that) called me first thing on Saturday saying the GM actually came in and called Toyota Financial. They told me the rate was better and all this "good news". Now I also work in the auto industry and told them I work all day since it's Saturday and the first I could get there would be Monday after my shift. I was told yeah no problem we will see you then. I assumed the vehicle was mine at this point after going through everything and agreeing to purchase. I excitedly texted Paul on Monday morning to confirm we're all set for pick up later that day. All I got back was.."that car sold on Saturday".... I called him asking why the vehicle was not held like I assumed would be since I was told we're all good for Monday. All he said is they don't hold cars. IF I KNEW THAT I WOULD HAVE LEFT WORK ON SATURDAY AND CAME DOWN TO DO THE REST OF THE PAPERWORK! Super frustrated I called the used car manager "who had nothing to do with the situation but had to express my frustration with. He said he could keep an eye out... From the moment I reached out with a brief inquiry, to the day I picked up my new car, he was responsive, extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and really listened to me. I repaired my car at this Toyota and took it back and found that the rear door guard was not repaired. Then I took it and they said to wait for it to be repaired. After I took it home for two days, the guard popped off again, and I went to them and I called insurance and they told me to order a new one and let me wait. I called them a month later and they said my car has been repaired and no new parts have been ordered, and they also messed up with my car paint. , I am very sloppy in doing things and often fooling around. This is the worst and most rubbish repair shop I have ever seen. I am here to warn everyone not to go to this car repair shop. This is the most unscrupulous repair shop. read more

I want to first say that I have been using Faulkner Toyota for service for many years and have given them all 5-star reviews. Of course, those reviews were based on trust and their customer service and never questioning their recommended service. However, I now find myself questioning that trust and I must say I am very disappointed about what just occurred on a service call. Specifically, on 26May23 I took the vehicle in for evaluation of a whining noise coming from the front of the vehicle. I trusted them because for the last approximately 5 years they have performed all maintenance on this vehicle. The service advisor came to me about an hour later and said that the noise coming from the wheels was a ball joint. Although disappointing and extremely expensive compared to local mechanics, I determined that it was best to let them do it, especially since the vehicle was already there. Of course, he then said they didn't have the part and would have to order it, ugh. Note: It's been 2 weeks and the part is still not it, I should have ordered it for them from Amazon, probably would have been there the next day. But here is where it gets interesting. As is usual they come with their little report of what is recommended and what is necessary, the nice little red area at the top of the report. It had the usual wiper blades, license plate bulb etc. I have already come to expect that. The disconcerting part of the report were two areas that concerned and annoyed me. 1. The front brakes were according to them at 1/32! The part I couldn't understand was that they inspected the vehicle just 5 months ago, and under normal driving how did it get that low? I don't let it get anywhere near that because I drive with this vehicle for work. However, although I couldn't understand I said go ahead and do it. 2. This is the one that infuriates me and makes me question the trust I had placed on Faulkner Toyota. Among the items recommended and placed in the yellow section was a throttle body cleaning. I was bewildered and said to the service rep, you did that already. He had this weird look and then said let me check the record, perhaps the technician went off the mileage record. Question, why would a technician go off the mileage record and not inspect the part? Anyway, he came back and said that he reviewed the records and it had never been done. I said I thought it was done as part of a 60K service check. He claimed that was not part of the 60K maintenance check, I respectfully disagreed. So here is thew update. I reviewed my service receipts and sure enough 6 months ago under their 60K service it clearly states THROTLE BODY Cleaning. I have attached copies of their service receipts for the record, and I am currently going over my receipts to see what other service they have gotten me on. Advice to customers: Keep your receipts and make an itemized list of services and mileage and see what they recommend. Change the cabin filter, air filter, and wiper blades before you go in and see how many times, they recommend they be changed. Very very disappointed in Faulkner Toyota. read more

My husband and father in law had such a good experience years ago when Brace G. was employed here so much that he wanted me to check out the place! The car seller Arron seemed ok at first but when I reached out to him less than 12 hours after the purchase and also sent an email that we wanted to remove the Gap insurance since I got 2 quotes else were for $900 cheaper for the same plan, he acted as if it was a problem? The financial person got on the phone with me trying to convince me not to take off the gap insurance I said can you guys explain why your gap insurance is $900 more expensive ? and he avoided the question and was condescending over the phone ! they were trying to convince me to get my preapproval through them instead of on my own just so they can have more financial gain! The car also had no car mats which should be included for the price we paid to this business! He said he would look into it for us, but never called us back about anything! I was just disappointed and feel like the customer service at this dealership should've been a lot better and accommodating! Which my credit score we could have taken our business anywhere! I feel like they were only looking out for their own best interest and pockets and Will try to take advantage of good customers! Love the vehicle, not the buying experience. We had researched the vehicle we wanted, looked up inventory, knew fair purchase price, fair trade in values. It's easy enough to be an educated consumer with all the online resources. Our salesman from the get go was just not in tune to what we needed. Talked about himself a lot, not about our needs. Then almost seemed annoyed when we asked specifics about the car and numbers. Just wanted to give me a monthly payment with no discussing. By the time we got to specifics, we ran out of time and had to come back next day for test drive. Negotiating deal was painful. We weren't asking for the world. Just to be on the good side of a fair purchase price. Once we got to our numbers..have to say Finance department was great. After we got vehicle home, we realized the car didn't have feature we expected. It was listed on website, salesman mistakenly confirmed it was in car. But it was not on sticker. We didn't notice. Called the new car manager to express our concerns and was met was a very rude and dismissive response. Basically told us that website has a disclaimer it was out fault for not reading, he didn't believe us about sales man, and we should have been smarter about checking on walk through. Our walk through was done at lightning speed. Salesman wanted to go home. Was loading his car as he was giving us walkthrough. It was only early afternoon. Not closing time. The missing feature was a minor over site on their part. But when talking to them about, there was no ownership of mistake on their end. No apology, and I was rushed off the phone because they were busy with customers. My deal was done it seemed, so I was no longer important. Only went to dealership in the first place because they just happen to have the model I wanted in stock. Won't buy there again. Vehicle is awesome. Toyota makes a great suv. read more

Guess the security guard was too busy watching P-Hub on his phone to guard my car while it was being inspected. My catalytic converter got stolen right out from under his nose. I asked why there were no security cameras at Faulkner. I was told that's because they have a security guard. Some guard! Faulkner is taking no responsibility. They want me to file a claim with my insurance company and pay a very high deductible. They did not offer to process the claim through their insurance, as my Allstate agent said they should have done. They are not offering me any discount on repairs. This is an ongoing issue. I purchased a pre-owned Highlander on July 17, 2020 from Fitz, sales person. I was owed a key fob (remote) and rear wiper blade since I only received one remote. After contacting Fitz through several emails and calls, I finally received the items....It only took THREE months. On one of my current emails to Fitz and probably not my last, I requested the waiver to have the remote programmed at no cost to me at my local dealership since I live two hours from Faulkner Toyota. My Yaris is about 14 years old and I always loved it: small and does not need much gas, easy to park and cozy for a woman. Now, because of how my life went lately, I haven't been driving much. I never put lots of miles on it anyway, but it's been less than 2 K miles a year for the past few years because the places I need to go to by car are very few. I bought it new in 2008 from Faulkner in Trevose, took good care of it, always serviced it there and also took it there for the annual inspections. Today I did the same. Made an appointment for 10:30 and, after they kept it there for about 4 hours, we reached out to see what's up. They said it needed about $3, 000 in repairs in order to pass the inspection. Think about it: this is much more that the car's blue book value at this point and of course I did not want to pay it. I always suspected that dealerships do not like it when you keep a car for too long because, if people did that, the car dealers would go out of business; but this time the push for me to give up my car and get a new one (without being told it, that was pretty much the message) was blatantly obvious and obviously not welcome. The question I asked them was: how could my car pass the inspection in 2022 (by you) and then, eleven months later, being driven for about 1000 miles only, to get in such a bad shape? Not much to answer, Faulkner Toyota. I told them I would never go back. Don't waste your time here. Service is absolutely terrible and I'd avoid this place like the plague.

Started great then all changed when my vehicle arrived. I ordered a replacement 4Runner after my wife was in an accident that totaled ours. A salesman reached out to me telling me that the 4Runner I was looking for was on its way to them within the next 2 months. He told me to leave $500 down and the car is mine, as I did. Time passed with no contact so I reached out only to find my salesman was "no longer working there". I was not assigned a new salesman but told "as long as you have a deposit the 4Runner is yours." Fast forward, reaching out once again, at another attempt to get a salesman assigned to me I was now told they will "assign one when it arrives." I was as well informed that when my vehicle arrived I would have a 48 hour window to pick it up. As strange as this seemed I did not see it as an issue. As life would have it I tested positive for COVID 2 hours before they called to tell me my 4Runner arrived. I informed the dealership of my covid diagnosis and they said no problem "we have contactless pick up!" I told the dealership how can I do that with a trade in? Again no problem "as long as you are here in 48 hours!" I was not in a condition to drive to the dealership. I tried everything with the dealership to not loose my vehicle. I told them I would fill out all paperwork and send it to them, I told them I would send them more money(wire, CC, overnight check) whatever they wanted. All I needed was them to wait a few extra days until I was able (not sick or contagious) to travel to pick it up. Apparently Covid-19 did not matter to them. Not only did they screw me over, waste months of my life, conveniently forget to refund my money and sell the 4Runner I had money down on and waited for... but they were also willing to have someone that was in quarantine travel to their state with no regard to the consequences that might surround that. read more
