I looked up a gas engine for a 2008 Toyota Prius on Car a-Part .Com an Al's had part number S16529 listed for sale for $200.00 when I called to confirm they raised the price to roughly $575.00, I called for two days to speak to a supervisor, owner or manager I got a call back on day two. When I spoke to the manager he wouldn't let me present the facts he kept talking over me and butting in when I was speaking very very unprofessional, needless to say he said I looked the price up wrong, it's hilarious that now they have it listed for the higher cost on Car-Part .Com. i have never had such rude customer service and such unhelpful employees. i called 4 times within the span of one day to get an answer on a part and got 4 different answers. i drove an hour to pick up said part and they show me what is not listed on their website and their online inventory does not match what they have available for sale. Awesome experience: Truck smashed into my car on Int 95 and the damage was so substantial that the insurance company gave me a totalled payout. As I tried to get estimates, nobody would even bother to give me one, because I wasn't going through an insurance company and one obnoxious person from Rob's on Veterans Hwy, she told me that we deal with a lot of expensive high end cars and that no one would touch my car and even if they did the price would be way more than the estimate. She just said, go buy a new car, what a condescending biased idiot... Anyway a person I did business with a very long time ago, gave me two options to checkout and one was Al's. I am a Mom & Pop Shop type guy and to me they do the best work anyway. Met Peter and explained my situation and frustration. He looked at my car and said no problem, we can fix it for you. He even provided a rental car right on the spot, that was reasonably priced per day. When I came to pick up my car, my jaw dropped just seeing it. It was shining man and looked better than when I purchased it. Not only did they replace the main parts, but they even provided my Sport Kit Window screen, which the other folks we're telling me, I would not be getting back and detailed my ride man. And the two front bruises we're completely fixed and everything worked great. Oh and the cost for all of this was exactly as estimated and far more competitive than the other nay sayers. The decision to replace the engine in your truck can be stressful. Al's didn't have my engine in their inventory but did help me install one I sourced else Where. Tim in service was able to get me in and out in less than two weeks. A great service and helpful team at Al's. Not sure what the negative reviews are talking about because it's not this place. I was looking for information on 3 engines that this company had listed online. 6 or 7 phone calls to service went unreturned. I was passed along to Tim's phone who is the head of service in which 5 or 6 messages were left... He didn't have the decency to return my call. Customer service goes a long way these days. This review is based on Barry's performance specifically. As soon as I picked up the phone I knew it wasn't going to be a god experience. I called simply to gain information on a part that was put in my car just before I purchased it. No information was given, no willingness to try and help was provided, and I got nothing short of an arrogant attitude. When I thanked him for trying to help, although he didn't at all nor did he want to, he hung up on me before I said "I will likely be calling back after I speak with the dealer" I cannot comment on the performance of the business regarding their parts or their other employees, but Barry's performance was pathetic, and due to his representation of the company I will be sure to never spend my money here. read more

So when I smushed my car and I needed to go to a Junk Yard to find the right parts, I was sent off into a long search into a mutlitude of junk yards in the area. Al's was my savior! I dealt with Mike in parts, who was great. Some people go to Disney World, but I would rather go to Al's. At the insistance of my step dad, we asked to see the car parts and we were sent into the actualy junk yard itself....a car graveyard that was part scary, part beautiful since everything was covered in snow. We were being driven in a frankenstein truck, clearly pieced together from other trucks, by a russian. I did find the car I wanted....in perfect condition, well at least the part I needed. Anyways, hopefully I won't need to find my own car parts again, but if I do, I will go back to Al's. It looks like they have a lot. read more

Ordered a engine from this place and it was never delivered. Beware of the service here. I called to find out the status of the delivery and the customer representative couldn't tell me a date. This without question is the most well stocked junk yard in Bucks County. The way the staff inventory's their stuff is second to none, they offer mechanical work or will just sell you the part outright. If there was a bone to pick it is their prices are a tad high but on the other hand they have never failed me in having what I was looking for. The staff is helpful and Al makes sure it's that way cause he lives on site so no monkey business happens and if it does he fixes it a.s.a.p. I really like this place no roaming all over the yard looking for your part, it's already been removed and tested to insure it will work when you install it. Please be advise that they sold us a used engine that had a broken intake manifold and after we installed engine it burned a quart of oil every 100 miles When I talked to Tim to get help he would not offer any help on labor so my shop loss money on an engine that they should not have sold us Beware they are not a fair yard and do not care about long standing customers and you will eat repair if there part is defective read more

We bought rims from this company. We provided them with all the informatiin they asked for and they told us these were the correct rims for our car. We specifically asked what if they are not the right ones they said "as long as you have the reciept you can return them". Now we had to pay someone to install new tires and the mechanic telling us they are not correct. They charged us more money to remove the new tires and place on different rims. We took them rims back to Al's and now they will not return them. And they left me on hold for 38 minutes too! Meanwhile we bought them and tried to return in 15 days! They supposely have 100 day return policy!What kind of company is this. They sell the wrong parts then keep yourmoney! Do NOT go there. They are rude and steal your money! What theifs! very horrible place to do business with. i was told that i was getting a motor that had 88k miles on it and ended up having 99k. paid mechanic to put it in the car to find out it had no compression, in other words a junk motor. at first they wouldn't even return my phone calls and when i finally got a hold of them, they said there was nothing they could do about it. i'm now out of $2300 and still have a none running car. what a joke this place is. i hope somebody sues the balls off this place for being dirty. read more

They make you pay for a defective product again until they can determine that you didn't damage it on purpose. This is affecting my business. Now my customer has to wait unless I pay for it again. When the engine blew in my daughter's Lexus ES300, I sought assistance from mechanics in my area who were unable to find an engine. After doing some research on my own, I came across Al's Auto. Their site was very interactive, easy to use and I noticed they carried a multitude of parts for many vehicles. In addition, they carried several engines for my Lexus with various mileages at the price points I was willing to pay. I called and spoke with Tim Narr, the shop service manager. He was pleasant and put me at ease. He quoted me a labor price that was fair and in line with what I got locally if not somewhat less. This facility can literally rebuild cars from scratch with all the parts they have! I trusted that they could do the repairs in a timely fashion since major jobs like engines and trannies were their expertise. After a few months, I had my car towed there and it was fixed in a rather quick amount of time as well as other repairs/state inspection (one stop shopping!!!). I was made aware of cost and repairs before work was done and did not once feel taken advantage of as a woman (although I have some knowledge of cars). I visited the facility twice. It is a very busy place! All of the counter people were nice, patient and helpful. I am so glad I went here. My engine is running great, my daughter is happy, and I can't thank Al's Auto enough for making a stressful process so very easy! I may add that they also fixed my hood latch and I didn't even ask them to (it was broken like forever and my other mechanics never bothered to deal with it)! I would visit this facility again if I needed major repair on any of my cars or wanted to purchase a rebuildable vehicle. read more

Terrible customer service experience. I needed a new wheel for a Hyundai elantra, of which there are numerous different kinds, which I understand. I tried my best to get all the specifications that were needed to find a match. The gentleman insisted I send him a picture of the wheel. I do not have the car in my possession, it is at a shop, so I was not able to produce a picture. I asked if I could give him all the specifications instead. The sticking point became the type of spokes. I asked the gentleman if it mattered to have a functioning car if the style of spokes didn't match. He insisted for aesthetics that I need matching spokes. I told him I do not need aesthetics, I just need a functioning car. When he continued to ask me about the specifications he ridiculed me for not knowing the information off the top of my head. I literally had the piece of paper in my hand about to read to him the information he needed. I understand it is not an ideal situation, but his ridicule of me was unnecessary.
