My experience with Michel Fauvrelle is that at the end of the day, he is a con artist who is effective as long as he thinks he has more work with you or has something to gain. When he realises he doesn't, he will cut and run before completing the work leaving with your property and stolen fees. He was hired to first build two hallway cupboards, which were fine. The third cupboard, wall to wall bedroom closets, was to be our last major project. No proper timeline was ever stuck to (he is terrible at project management), the work started in August and after December, Michel has refused to come by and finish the last pieces of work citing a multitude of excuses including that he has no time. When he was given funds to purchase curtain rods and brackets, he lied that the order had been placed. When we called the supplier directly, we discovered no order was placed, and Michel finally fessed up but then proceeded to keep the money he had been given for that as the final 25% of his project fee for the closets, which was to be paid upon completion. Since December, he has been a slippery conman who refuses to come and finish the work or return the money. He is unreliable and untrustworthy, and my guidance would be not to work with him in any capacity - as an employer or as someone looking for cabinetry work in their home.
