I have my four year old going to PreK here and he loves it! I see him learning pretty quickly his numbers and letters! I was concerned on his speech since he was four and he would still just say what he wanted and wasn't putting sentences together, but I have seen a great improvement on his speech. I also have a three year old and one year old that go here full time and they love their teachers even though it was tough for my one year old to stay at first he warmed to them quickly! I know as the mother of my kids that they can be a handful since they are all boys and feed off of each others energy but the staff here show them so much love and attention. I scheduled a tour for the school with the director, and when I called regarding why the school was closed, and I got no notification or alert that there would be no tour. If I could give this place a 0 I would! I worked here and just quit today because of bad management! Their messy, dishonest, lack transparency, and disrespect their staff! They just had a covid outbreak last week and would not tell parents or staff, because "CDC" told them they didn't have to say anything. They will make you work regardless of how sick you or your child are, and don't take your illness seriously! They all about the money and nothing more than that. They will let any kid in no matter how sick they are and cause the whole school and staff to get sick, but if you call out its a problem! They will smile in your face and talk behind your back. My child went here for a good chunk of time which I am embarrassed to admit. The beginning was pretty good but 2 months in should've been a warning sign when my child would cling to me and REFUSE to go to anyone else. To say it was traumatizing is not even the right word. My child went through about 65 teachers (clearly an exaggeration but something close to 20) in the time they were there. At first, we thought it was because the teachers were young and couldn't handle it but the longer we were there, I saw that it was CLEARLY the director who didn't value or try to keep staff. They were CONSTANTLY short-staffed (which I completely understand is a thing in the Early childhood care world) and omg I should've seen the red flag upon our initial walk-through where the director did NOTHING except boast about her education and upbringing and straight bullcrap about sign language and kids yoga. Yes, they let you watch your kids throughout the day on the camera but when you bring up something that you saw, "you must have been seeing things because that's not how it happened". For instance, my kiddo was a little over a year old when they started and had a hard time going down for a nap because they were never without us and I witnessed a teacher grab them and forcefully shove them down and pat them and forcefully shove their head down to the mat. And this happened multiple times with other kids as well. It was hard when a few good teachers would come in and your kid connected but they would leave and the cycle would start all over again. Do not make the same mistake I did and send your kid here and give in to the bullcrap Melissa feeds you about "the staff is the problem" "I pay them top dollar but they're all not worth it". Because it's not true. There were about 6 good teachers in my time with my kid there and then they just left. Clearly, the problem is at the top. This place should BE SHUT DOWN. The director talks a great game but is literally the absolute worst director EVER! She's rarely there when it matters and that's complete crap to me. Let's not talk about my kid coming home in the wrong shoes, dirt on their face, and poop diapers that were sagging.... I could go on and on but it would be 90 pages long. read more

This is my first time to put review for any specific daycare or school, the reason I decided to put comment here is it was the worst experience I ever had in the past and I can not believe it could happened to our family. My daughter started to go to this center for pre-k class(4 years old) about 3 months ago, this Tuesday morning my daughter was 20 minutes late for some specific reason(1st time to be 20 minutes late), the director(Ms. Melissa Staple) rejected my daughter and mentioned it's their rules that kids can not join the class if they are 20 minutes late, My daughter was sad and hurt and my husband took her home that day. I'm the foreigner(Asian) and we just moved to united states a few years ago ,I didn't know the rules, I was shocked when they told me there is a rule that school can reject the kids when kids was late, I called the Georgia states Pre-k program office and the told me it's not true, there is not a rule like that, nobody has the right to take away the chance from kids to study, the lady suggest me just change the school and they found a new school for us and my daughter is going to the other school from the next day. Everyone is nice except the director, My daughter's teacher is really a great teacher and the other stuff are nice too, My daughter loved her teacher and friends, she is still missing them even she is going to new school. I went in and did a tour while the tour was going on the director informed me of the deposit process and etc . I got her card that she wrote the number for her cash app and informed me that's how I was to secure my child's spot . The Monday he was supposed to start the doors were locked . I called the daycare but no answer I called the number on her card and she informs me that two children got COVID and they had to close however I never received any communication from her about that . Over the next few days I texted her inquiring on when the daycare would reopen she did not give me an answer . One morning I decided to just call the location and they were open when I asked the receptionist why wasn't I made aware I was told that an email was sent however I never received a email from her at all . Then she proceeds to tell me even though my child hasn't started and she did not properly communicate with me I can not receive my deposit back . I feel like I have been scammed . i do not feel comfortable sending my child there any longer due to the location not being under quarantine for 7 days as well as how the director was speaking to me . My daughter has been going to FELA since September and it was the best decision I could have made for my daughter. I toured 4 schools before coming here. On a fun filled day of activities Melissa was able to give me and my mom a tour. That tour was everything I saw kids playing and having fun, teachers being attentive and caring, I saw a lil one crying and she was greeted with hugs and love that not only soothed her but also warmed my heart to see. Along with a balanced and great meal options for the kids. (Which was important bc my daughter can be a picky eater) Once enrolled they were patient with my daughter during her transition from stay at home with mommy to going to school everyday. The directors where very communicative and answered every question. Which trust me I had a lot. The teachers are very attentive and caring towards the children. They were even helpful with my use to be picky eater. I could say more but it wouldn't be enough Melissa and Jessica have been a godsend for me and my daughter. My Daughter attended this school for 5 months..... I agree you get what you pay for, the school is $160 for my daughter age group and every day that I took her to school she never seemed to enjoy going. My daughter use to know her numbers and shapes but over the course of 5 months she seemed to, be losing her brain power. As a parent you never want to think your child is dumb but I could see that learning wasn't a priority. This was the worst experience I could have imagined. My children 2&3 attended one day here and I saw on the surveillance cameras one of the teachers threw a girl down and threw her blanket over her face during nap time. she was very aggressive throughout the day with the kids, never once redirected always yelling and pointing. They didn't even check my id apon enrollment, they didn't use wipes during diaper changes. They lined up kids standing on a changing table and pulled their diapers off between their legs and replaced with a new one without washing hands between changing kids. Older children (8-10) were standing over the children poking Them during diaper changes. The owner denied all of this when I watched it on the cameras. Then told me to "pop my kids mouth" in front of my kids, and told me that's what works for her and the other parents. had the youngest locked in highchair for 30 minutes for escaping the playground, sitting by the front door with no teachers around When I showed up to pickup. After disenrollong them I had another teacher message me on Facebook harrassing me telling me I'm talking trash about them. Very professional. read more

This was a wonderful daycare until a couple of weeks ago when management changed hands with no warning...no letter and no real explanation. Apparently some parents got letters about the change when it occurred. We never did though. While the new director took time to introduce herself and make small talk, the owners were always present..but never a handshake or introduction as to who they were. I had to put the pieces together myself. We had used the daycare for years and our kids loved it. The old director was attentive to our needs and was very understanding, genuine, down to earth and always addressed all of my concerns on the spot. I felt 150% safe sending my children. Immediately after the mgmt changed, most of the long time staff we grew to love either quit because of the change or was let go. These people loved my children and vice versa. We had built a bond of trust and I always knew my kids were loved and safe with them...it was heartbreaking. Shortly after, new staff stepped in with little training and my infant son who has a milk/soy protein intolerance was fed someone else's bottle which resulted in a trip to urgent care. It caused him to get sick and he was in pain for several days. The last week my kids attended, it was mass confusion. Upset parents complaining and withdrawing their kids, short staffed..the owners had to fill in for some of the classrooms. Not sure if the new people even had proper certification. I didn't feel safe sending my kids any longer. We were stuck trying to quickly find a new daycare for our children which left my 4 year old emotionally devastated, as she does not do well with change. It was emotionally trying time for us too, as we had put all out trust in the center for 2 years and now we were left to find somewhere new and start all over. It is just a warning to others that it is now very unorganized and communication between management/owners and parents is lacking. Staff is not well trained and environment is no longer one that is warm and comforting..it is frigid. Be weary because the children are the ones who get caught in the crosshairs in situations like these. read more

My son started here in 2/2019 at 6 months old. As a first time mother I was petrified. However, I have had nothing short of a wonderful experience. The director Melissa is extremely involved with all the children and keeps me updated with pictures daily! His teachers Macrina and Renee are angels and love my baby. I am a long time Fayette County resident. My wife and I have had our two girls enrolled here for 3+ years. The service was never great they always had workers in and out and the director of the place was always on a power trip. Over the past three years I have seen the director, Melissa Staples, yelling and screaming at 4 different parents. After these events I never saw those parents again. The reason we stayed with them so long is my wife became very good friends with her. After my wife cheated on me and the daycare director, Melissa Stapes, took her side all the while assuring me that she is a "neutral Party". Melissa Staples called the police when the girls uncle, my brother, went to pick them up even though they had been released to him many times before. If you are a man and looking for a good place for your children do not enroll them here no matter what your wife says. Melissa Staples is not professional and crosses personal boundaries. Our child has been enrolled shortly after the school opened in 2014 and is currently still enrolled. Initially they had a significant amount of turn over however now that the school is established they have maintained a good group of teachers. The director is very approachable with any concerns or issues you may have. While this is not the most technology savvy facility with up to date events online or even lunch menu online, you can ask the director but it may or may not happen consistently. Overall, we like the convenience of the location to our home, we can approach the director with any concerns and our child most importantly loves going to school there. Plus, it's a nice perk that we can watch our child throughout the day. read more

We had a terrible experience here. I should have stayed away. When I was enrolling my baby 2 different parents had a spat with the director over their child's care. My baby's teachers appeared inexperienced and/or negligent. She also appeared to be disconnected from my baby. She did not appear to enjoy her job. My baby was placed in the infant room. I caught an older child poking and prying over my baby as the teacher was occupied doing other things. The teacher seemed to have troubles putting my baby to sleep one day so she covered his face with a blanket. This teacher also wiped another child's runny nose with her shirt and proceeded to pick up mine. No hand wash or shirt change. This was all seen via video. Shortly thereafter, my child became very ill and was hospitalized for over a week with multiple viruses. My son still is recovering and still has to get a surgery done to get him back to normal. After all this, the director did not display a ounce of empathy to the wellbeing of my ill child. I was expecting she would at least check his recovery. After learning he was ill, I heard absolutely nothing from her. My son was enrolled for less than 1 week. I would strongly suggest going elsewhere. I wanted to love this place, but there were so many blatant errors that put my child at risk. read more

I do not recommend this school at all. I had 2 children enrolled for about 6 months. The first 3 months were great as the 3/4 yr old classroom was small at the time. When the class room grew to 15 to 17 kids with 1 teacher the class way out of hand as Ms. Belinda did not know how to redirect the students very well as she was on her phone and preoccupied with other things. She never got the kids involved in helping. They had play time in the back room with no toys and the whole time she was telling to quieten down and settle down. I had to step in and we played duck duck goose and hot potato as they could not go outside because of the rain. Mind you these are 3 and 4 year olds. Me being a parent had to come in and shadow to see what was really going on. During my 2 shadows I witnessed teachers telling the kids to shut up and sit down. One teacher sat on a little girl because she would not close her eyes for nap time. I witnessed Ms Belinda lock my 3 year old out of the classroom after being called the week before and being told my son was lost as he ran out of the class room. I began watching the cameras very closely to the point where I had a separate monitor up while working just to keep an eye on the teachers actions. When I approached the Director Melissa about it she said she did not have time to review the tapes or to have a parent teacher meeting and kicked my son out instead with no warning at all. My husband and I have our daughter there. She is less than a year old and had hip issues that forced her to be in a cast and a brace for a long time. The people there were very accommodating to her, and we were very appreciative for them. It is not as expensive as other places. We feel it is a place where they love our child. to wrap it up in one word because thats all they deserve. "HORRIBLE" ! Our experience here has been awful. where do i start.... first off, if you want your kiddo getting a diaper rash, take them here. they are great at this. i take care of my son 5 days a week and never has my son had a diaper rash, one day here, full blown diaper rash so bad skin looked burnt and peeling, my son couldnt even sit down or take a bath without being in so much pain. next, kids are messy, all parents get that, but upon arrival to pick up, u walk in and see all the kids with snotty noses that havent been wiped all day, just gross, and the care givers just standing around doing nothing. the last care giver my son had couldnt even put a diaper on correctly, what?!? serioulsly. my son had a spot for his diapers ect. every morning i would stock his supplies. the last day i had him there i walked in to see my son standing in the middle of his classroom crying, his shorts soaking wet with urine, i mean soaking wet like he just got out of a pool. and the care giver responds i just changed hid diaper. Bulls**t! his diaper hadnt been changed all day, then i was told he was out of diapers, and i had to show the care giver were all his supplies were. shoes got lost. next, my son came home with some kind of cold or ear infection everyday. i mean everyday... and he only went twice a week, so my son stayed sick. dont take your kids here. ok heres where it gets worse..and just fyi dont set up automatic payment if your still taking your child there after reading this.. after cancelling we were still charged the next week. after talking with the manager several times, she assured me the money had been refunded. the following week the money had not yet been refunded. then i tried to call her several times always to hear she was to busy or not there, that she would return my call. she was avoiding me and the issue. three week later still no refund and when i checked my statement i was charged double our usual rate again, so now i had been charge the equivalent to 3 weeks worth of day care. i had to call my bank and claim it is fraud and get the refund that way. just a horrible place with BAD management. your kids will thank you and be so much happier somewhere else. i have never written a review on anything, but i just had to get this out there read more
