Only then did she notify the kitchen staff. Not only was the situation frustrating and embarrassing, but I also had to wait an additional five minutes while the rest of my food got cold. The lack of trust and poor customer service really ruined the experience for me.

I was a little uneasy of what to try, since most if not all the food is fried and I prefer blackened, broiled or even steamed seafood. I ordered one of the lunch specials and the woman advised she could do light batter. Music to my ears, I didn't even have to ask, suggesting that definitely warranted five stars!! My meal was cooked to order and I waited maybe five minutes give or take another minute. I was tempted to try something on my ride home, but I figured I could wait five more minutes to sit down and enjoy the meal. Surprisingly, I was impressed. My daughter took a few bites and enjoyed the fish. She thought the hushpuppies were a bit thick, but she still came back for more. I ordered the two fish, shrimp and hushpuppies lunch deal. Now I must say I was hungry and if you're like me, your taste buds can very when you hungry, hangry or just want a small bite to eat. But I believe this meal was straight. I will go again just to make sure :) I love scallops, so that's my next entrée of choice. Parking was not an issue, but I can imagine it could get a little out of control because the parking lot is not big at all. Check them out if you are in the area. Now I gotta talk about this Caesar salad. When it hit the table, I made a face at my homegirl because why did I see tomatoes in my Caesar salad!? In all of my almost 34 years of life I've never seen that before. But listen, I took one bite and had to humble myself because it was honestly one of the best Caesars I've ever had. Got me right together. We also got the hot caprese queso appetizer with foccacia bread and it was absolutely delicious. My chicken parmesan pasta was also amazing. While waiting, I learned about the restaurant's history and other staples in Suffolk. This man was super friendly and even picked up my vibe... "you're not from Suffolk, are you" - no sir. The restaurant has some protocols in place to limit interaction with others and the employees. Which is completely understandable. I ended up trying my food about 20 minutes later. The temp was still warm... a good thing. I bit into the crab roll... I really couldn't tell if it was actually crab or just a regular egg roll. After two bites, maybe three, I determined, this may be crab. Nevertheless, it wasn't too noticeable... not sure if I would try that again. I may have to order a regular one and a crab one to really tell the difference. Onto the crabcake... Well...it definitely has a lot of filler. In this case, I am not surprised by the cost anymore. I thought the price was a steal for a crabcake... but now I see, the price is right. You get what you pay for, but I was hoping for a steal. Overall, I wouldn't count this place out, but next time, I am looking fwd to trying the fish and scallops.
