I enjoy stopping here and looking around this antique and collectible store. Each booth has interesting things to browse. I have taken some snapshots of a couple of the booths so that you can get a sense of the style of the store and some of the items available. I like just to walk around and see what they have without having anything in particular that I am looking to purchase. They have all sorts of vintage wares such as jewelry, some furniture, pictures, and several vintage clothing booths. All in all makes a nice shopping stop! read more

Got a text from my sister over the weekend saying she had spotted a photo of our brother Ned at Feather Your Nest. It was entitled "Picture of a Young Boy" and had an antique look about it. So, I raced over Sunday morning and found the photo and then found myself browsing what turned out to be a great antique store for the first time. Get in there if you haven't been! They have everything from childhood photos of my brother to an English Springer Spaniel art serving tray, to two vintage novelty neckties (Christmas theme and New York City theme). One of the best kept secrets in Lexington is Feather Your Nest. This place is bursting with affordable antiques, collectibles and other knick-knack items. Originally, I went there to pick up some odds and ends jewelry items. I like the rhinestone broaches to use on facinators that I make for Derby and the Oaks. I picked up 3 for under $5 each. I also found a retro wedding facinator/hat/ veil item for under $12. I decided that I didn't need it on this adventure but there are so many other goodies there. One of the unique items i found was a creepy doll. To be fair, there are plenty of creepy dolls to be had if that is your jive. You can find old photos, glassware, clothing, costume jewelry, hats, books, decor and so much more. It's becoming tougher to find real vintage and antique shops anymore; a lot of places are now focused on crafts, farmhouse chic decor, and newer items. Feather Your Nest is a pleasantly cluttered shop full of treasures. They have smaller furniture items, vintage holiday decor, tchotchkes, books. Lots of China and other dishes. Paintings and photos. One of my best finds from there were two craftsman rocking chairs that go great on my craftsman porch. Very reasonable price. The shop employees are nice, and will try to call a booth owner if you want to negotiate price. Most everything here is reasonably priced. Worth a stop. read more

What a Lexington gem here! Had no idea how cool this place would be judging from the outside, and it is surprisingly spacious once inside. I love the layout here - so much to look at, enough room to walk around and incredibly inviting. It's a great place to find antique everything!..light fixtures, furniture, dish-ware, clothing, shoes, hats, jewelry, pottery, statues, picture frames, paintings, prints, license plates, house and barns tools..probably dated from the early 1900s onwards.. The best part about their inventory is that it seems to all be in great condition. You can tell they comb out the damaged and weathered items - which I always appreciate! - and it is displayed nicely. Whether you are looking for something rustic or fancy, you will find a great variety of Americana here. And the staff is sweeter than sweet tea. Love it! read more

Everyone is wearing masks and social distancing. I love this place - I always dine one or two cute items. Most stuff is priced very well.

This is a great place to check out for a wide variety of antiques at a variety of price points. There seems to be everything from vintage clothing and jewelry to plates and serving ware to antique farm equipment. If you want a unique piece check here. It can be a little cluttered and crowded feeling but not too overwhelming. read more

I stopped in at this place thinking that it was a home decor store, which is what it looks like from the look of the things in the front window. But I found that it's more of a classy version of an antique peddlers mall. It looks small from the outside but inside it is huge. read more

I love this place so much! There are so many nooks and crannies, and new stuff arriving frequently, which means that you could visit every day and see something different. The staff is lovely. They're always up for a chat, and they'll admire your new treasure along with you. They're always careful to wrap fragile items and will answer any questions about the items to the best of their ability. They've recently added a garden area out back, which isn't a garden, but things for your garden. It was pretty sparse the last time I visited, which I'm sure is due to it being gardening season. I'm currently working on starting my own business and Feather Your Nest has been great for adding unique and eclectic pieces to the decor. I'm sure I'll be back again soon! read more

Having been a vendor at Feather Your Nest nearly since it opened 14 years ago, I have seen it grow into a thriving antique mall, stuffed full of some of the best vintage and antique collectibles you could ever imagine. I have nothing but great things to say about the women who run this mall. They are professional and hard-working and they treat vendors and customers alike as if we hung the moon. Three years ago they moved into a new building about a block from the old location. The owners took a huge risk and built this building (talk about PASSION for your business) and my sales have continued their upward climb. As I said earlier, if it is on your antique & collectible shopping list you may well find it at FYN....they pride themselves on being very selective with their vendors....so that they have a great mix of treasures. The shop is nearly 6,000 square feet and is packed full....I could spend a day in here and still not see all there is to see. I don't know about you, but when I go treasure hunting, I LOVE fully stocked booths with delightful nooks and crannies. As a bonus, the windows are often festively adorned....recently, the Halloween window was incredible. Don't miss out on one of Lexington's best secrets....this mall should be at the TOP of your list if you are true treasure-hunter. read more

Whenever I'm in town visiting the past three years, we make a point to go "treasure hunting" and this place is a must for my fam on our adventure. We always find a trinket or two or three that we are excited to give a home. My husband loves the stall with the nautical items. The prices are reasonable. Fabulous place! I've been coming here off and on for several years, it's amazing. It has a very classy feel, with that vintage feel that I love! Their new building is so nice! They have everything, furniture, porcelain, vintage hats, clothes, costume jewelry, paintings, & folk art. I have gotten tons of cool stuff here, Carnival glass, vintage cigarette ashtrays, vases, & more. I love their vintage clothing displays with the mannequins & the hat models. The older lady with white hair who works there & used to check me out is so sweet & a doll. Love her. Also, they used to always have fresh coffee in the backroom & the place always smells divine! It's a lovely place to come browse without getting trampled on like at the Peddlars Mall & it's just a very classy place. Very clean. And the prices are superb! They always have quality items too. They have a some nice pieces but based on the reviews, I was expecting a lot more. The staff is friendly and the store is clean and well organized. The prices are decent, seemed in line with other antique stores in the region. I can see why it's popular and they seem to really cultivate their local market, which is a bonus if you live in the area! read more
