Having a photo booth at weddings might be a trend but, it's definitely a MUST!! We loved seeing our guests let loose, be silly and have fun. Don't get just any photo booth though. We've been to our share of events with photo booths and we knew what to look for. It is inevitable that a group of 30 people will try to fit into the picture - so an open air booth is important! Plus who doesn't love photo bombing and jumping into random pictures? The best thing I love about them, though, is the quality of the pictures. They actually use a professional camera to snap the shots. Along with Aaron, we also worked with Jenny since we loved her photography (a separate review will be written for her :D). Therefore, we were able to book them at a combo price. The prices are very reasonable and they let you customize with a la cart prices. With the package that we got, a white background is included as well as standard props (the unicorn was my favorite.) We added our own props as well. As for the backdrop, I wanted to jazz it up with heart garlands to match our wedding decor and Jenny/Aaron were all for it. They helped me put it on their backdrop on the day of at no additional cost. Also, I got to design my template and am in love with how it turned out!! Thi was our day-of wedding coordinator--from 9am to 9pm on Sunday, November 10, 2013. Even a year…read moreand a half later, I only have wonderful things to say about our experience with Thi. She helped make sense of our tea ceremony that my mom's coordinator never bothered to explain to us. If it wasn't for Thi's ability to keep us calm and informed, I think I would've had a total meltdown out of frustration with the fustercluck that our tea ceremony would've been. We forgot to pick an additional bridal party processional song for our American wedding ceremony, so she picked one out on the fly for us and made sure our DJ had it. When my groom's family got lost and was 30min late, she made sure our bridal party never let us know and that the DJ kept the music going for the guests. I had no idea anything wasn't perfect for the wedding ceremony--fantastic! Finally, she was able to manage the mass of people waiting to take pictures with us at the reception, and work out all our weird seating issues without a hitch (especially considering she only got our list at 4 am in the day of). And, when we forgot pick any music out for the entirety of our reception, she picked everything out and gave it to our DJ. Every song she picked was perfect. Quite honestly, everything Thi touched worked exceedingly well. She's organized, adaptable, kind (but assertive when necessary), and really quite talented at making sure your entire wedding day moves along smoothly.

The first ring we looked at was cute and affordable, he bought it and held on to it for the right time to propose. After some rethinking, I realized I didn't want a ring with white gold and we returned it. The second ring was just something I passed by and thought was nice. I didn't realize my boyfriend had bought it secretly in hopes of proposing. In the mean time, I found Thi and her customized/personalized engagement ring business. She helped me design the PERFECT ring for my style and our price budget. I asked her to contact my boyfriend to handle the financial details. He was gracious enough to follow through and my platinum engagement ring got made! He proposed to me with the other ring while the ring of my dreams was being made. Writing this made me realize I sound like a brat! But keep in mind that the ring was affordable and my FIANCE and I are 110% happy. My fiance and I are so thankful for Thi and her diligence. Without her I would have been stuck with a clunky ring that looked like a class ring with a diamond on top. Words could not express our appreciation. She was very timely and professional. Answered all of our questions and concerns. Anyone thinking about getting married or proposing should first talk to Thi, even if it's only to ask questions about rings. She took the time to explain the rundown, made sure all the forms are filled out correctly, and that we brought everything we need the day of. I searched endlessly on Google for wedding officiants and elopement packages and the prices were exorbitant for what they actually offered. I chose to go with Wendy because she was exactly what we needed. We are lesbians from Texas who wanted to visit San Diego and enjoy our wedding trip, instead of getting bogged down by the minutiae. From the get-go, Wendy informed us of everything we needed to do very clearly-- fill out the application, provide payment, and choose our location. During every step of the process, I felt assured that Wendy had it under control and she checked in with us often. We mostly communicated through email, which was always courteous and effective. It became very clear during our first phone call just how much work Wendy was doing in the background: communicating with another notary about our license application, preparing all the forms in advance, mailing out our application, keeping us informed. She even reminded us about rings, our vows, our outfits, etc. She does what she does to ensure our day is as stress-free as possible. All we had to do was be in love and say "I do." Wendy even accommodated us at the last minute by changing our location and coming to our hotel. If you are gay, Wendy is the one to marry you. She is extremely professional, compassionate, brave, and if it matters to have someone who understands and is part of the community like it was to us, do not hesitate. My wife and I wrote our own vows and when we read them, we knew Wendy was wishing us the best in our marriage and that is so so important. To be seen and recognized and guided into this next part of our lives together by one of our own felt like we were a part of something larger and Wendy connected us to that community that we have yet to find in Texas. It was such a wonderful experience that I hope we keep in touch with Wendy because she made our day so special with her charisma, her stories, and her wisdom. After our ceremony, she took pictures, had us sign our papers, and left to go mail the application for us so we didn't have to do anything but enjoy being married. She kept us posted when she mailed the application, when her check was cashed for the certificates, and when I showed her our marriage certificates which came folded (not Wendy's fault), she reached out to a local TV station to get to the bottom of why the SD County Recorder was folding official documents. Me, I'm just happy to be married, but it feels good to know Wendy is fighting for us to have a non-folded marriage certificate. All in all, you cannot beat the service that Wendy provides. She communicates clearly, provides outstanding service, and truly cares about your wedding day. For us, Wendy is not just the woman who married us, but the soul who witnessed our love and we'll forever be grateful for her.

If you want to get married in the Catholic Church, you and your partner must be active members, and if you're not Catholic, there's a process to follow that requires patience. Mr. Earl wouldn't be asking for thousands of dollars to perform a wedding if he were an authentic Catholic priest, as the sacrament of marriage is free in the Church. Moreover, if you're Catholic and your partner is of another religion, you can obtain permission to get married outside of a Catholic church with a priest present. If you're ok with a marriage without a divine blessing from our God the Father, then so be it. Hire Mr. Earl that's great in acting as a real priest. May the Lord be with you.

We had productive communication with them for months leading up to the event. However, on the wedding day, they did not show up and stopped responding entirely. We received no email, text, phone call, or explanation. Having a fully paid, contracted wedding vendor simply fail to appear was incredibly stressful and disappointing.
