Our friend ordered the Mexican poutine which I thought wouldn't be that exciting but I was wrong! The fries were seasoned with spices, there was a large quantity of food (she didn't even finish it) it was loaded with toppings! My wife ordered the 7 layer burrito, we went to a Mexican place in Maine and assumed the burrito would come with toppings like cheese lettuce and sour cream on top of the burrito. We thought that because the title on the menu is "7 layer burrito or Naked burrito" toppings or none. Nope not the case. Its actually in a wrap or in a bowl. We might be the only people who were confused but now you know. It was huge and my wife couldn't finish it. I ordered the tacos! Had too! Put them together yourself and the added hot sauce at every table was fantastic! Something you should know though, when you pick your protein, ground beef is literally just ground beef. Not seasoned with taco seasoning! It could have used some salt or something. It comes out in 3 trays. One is sizzling peppers, onions, your protein choice (go with chorizo) and topped with cheese. Next tray is warm tortillas (flour or corn) along with fresh tortilla chips, guac and some very weird sauce that tasted exactly like coleslaw dressing. Definitely not quaso. That was very disappointing. Not sure what to do with that stuff as it also came with my wife's burrito. Salsa would do just fine but that dressing was a terrible let down. Next small tray was sour cream, your choice of mild, medium, and hot salsa. Pro tip, medium had no kick at all, and on the end was Pico De Gallo which seemed to be fairly fresh! All was excellent except the tortillas chip dip. Swap that for Pico De Gallo or salsa or even better, quaso and it's a home run! Very filling, very healthy, loved it!

Had the tres tacos - half taco and half fajita. Basically a build your own taco. Chicken had pretty good seasoning and they let you choose your own spice level. Mexican fries - big portion and tasty. Quesadilla - tasty filling and again big portion. They have decent hot sauces for the table but you can ask for their homemade hot sauce. Overall a good experience.

Venue 5/5 Lakefront…read morerestaurant with patio along boardwalk. Right on the main strip of Friday harbour. Patio has lounge like seating with umbrellas as well. They are also dog friendly (see below), as the other restaurant in resort are service animals only. Service 4/5 Came on a Saturday for supercars and jazz. More traffic than usual at the resort. That being said the team were pretty quick in getting our food to the table after ordering. The wait times for inside were longer than outside due to the heat. We sat outside but the breeze definitely helped out along with the umbrellas. Food 4/5 Portions were quite generous. We got a chicken wrap (chose honey garlic wing sauce) as well as nachos and a chicken Brie sandwich. The venue is also pet friendly , they had dog bowls a for food and water. They also had a dog beer (it is cold bone broth) for the dogs on the patio.

The place had a nice open layout with warm lighting. Crispy & Spicy Squid (4/5) was cooked perfectly. It was firm and crispy with red and green chillis. The sauces were on the sweeter side. We usually prefer the sauces to be more on the tangy and/or a creamy bold garlic flavour. Wagyu Burger (3/5) was decent. It came with two patties, smoked cheddar, caramelized onions, black truffle garlic aioli, tomatoes and pickles. The flavour profile met our expectation but we found that the patties themselves were a bit dry. We upgraded the side of fries for truffle fries (5/5) and those were delicious. Spicy Bison Sausage Rigatoni (5/5) was cooked perfectly. The sausage was complemented well with the acidity and delicate sweetness of the pasta sauce. The mushrooms were a great addition and the parmesan really tied in all the flavours together. We had the option to have it not spicy, mild or hot. We asked for hot because we enjoy spicy food but it was not as spicy as we had hoped it to be. NOTE: The bill comes with an additional 3% Resort Fee

We haven't been there in several years, but returned recently for dinner. What a disappointment! The meal portions were extremely small and did not reflect the menu. The salmon dinner was about one-half the size of a normal meal portion and was thoroughly overcooked. The Steak Oscar was a tiny portion of overcooked beef. The accompanying "crab" was either fake crab or something that came out of a can. The cheesecake dessert looked like it had been purchased at a grocery store, rather than locally made. The wine list was meager, with most items out of stock. We have heard rumors that this business is up for sale. Given that the dining room was almost empty on a Saturday night in peak holiday season, the future doesn't look good for this clearly declining restaurant. Would not recommend.

My party of…read morethree and I made a reservation in anticipation of some crowds and were pleased with our meals. I ordered the Confit Duck Leg and Quebec Duck Sausage which was cooked to perfection. The duck leg was tender and well-seasoned, whilst the sausage had an amazing smokey flavour to it. Despite them both being from the same cut of meat, each had it's own flavour profiling that added to the entirety of the entree. Accompanying were roasted red potatoes, asparagus and carrots, which were served with a spiced prune and rhubarb sauce. All aspects of the dish played their own part in making it delicious. Compliments to Chef Dave! All of the ingredients used were fresh and locally sourced (for the most part) which is a huge plus considering the restaurant's locale. There are few items on the menu which also speaks to the quality of the food you will receive. The service I received was excellent as well, everyone being pleasant throughout its entirety. This is a place you need to eat at whenever you're in the Eagle Lake region as it gives the bougiest of downtown Toronto fine dining restaurants a run for their money - without the super high price tag and crowded dining spaces!

So, looking for another option we droves to Maynooth and found Sun Run. It was very busy! There was seating indoors as well as outdoors. With it being a rather chilly morning, we got lucky and snagged one of the tables as another party was leaving. You place your order at the counter and they'll bring it out to you. They have many baked goods like homemade Pop Tarts, Cupcakes and Honey Crullers. But they also have breakfast and lunch sandwich options. The 3 others in my party got breakfast sandwiches, and I got a sandwich from the lunchtime menu. I opted for the grilled cheese. I'm so glad it did- it was great! The bread was baked in house and you could really taste the quality. Then where was 2 types of cheddar with thinly sliced apples ham and some honey. It was delicious and wasn't too greasy or decadent. Everyone else at my table raved about their sandwiches too, including my sister-in-law who got the buckwheat gluten-free option and loved it so much, she made an inquiry as to if she could buy some of the bread to take home. While they don't sell the loaves, it says a lot that she was moved enough to even ask. Overall a great experience here. Sun Run saved the morning- there's a total lack of breakfast restaurants open on Sunday in these parts, so we were really happy to not only get a meal, but impressed by how delicious it was!
