I bought an expensive and beautiful Bradington-Young motorized recliner at Fedde's in October of 2020. I enjoyed every moment I had the chair until it stopped working two and a half years later. Compounding the problem was that I had moved to Colorado Springs. I made several calls locally trying to get the chair serviced and I was getting nowhere. Suffice it to say, I felt like I was getting the run-around and this was really frustrating given the price of the chair. A local Colorado Springs dealer for Bradington-Young told me I needed to deal with the retailer who sold the chair in order to obtain warranty coverage. I called Fedde's and spoke with a manager. He was very concerned about the run-around and he said he would fix the situation the next day. The next day I received an email from Mark Fedde himself. He asked for some identifying information off the chair. I took photos of the motor and sent them to him. He personally dealt with Brandington-Young. A new motor was with Fed Ex within days. Fedde's covered the shipping cost. In addition to having perhaps the nicest collection of American furniture available anywhere, Fedde's subscribes to old-school standards of customer service and ethics. They are total class. I will miss having Fedde's down the street. They are a Pasadena classic, and I will always cherish everything I bought there over the years. read more

I had such high hopes for this place. Not only did I find a couple of cocktail/coffee tables I liked online, but they were in the "traditional" style of furniture that most places no longer offer. Anywhere. I was so excited because Fedde's seemed to cater to my style preference. When I called and spoke to one of the sales associates, she said to come in to view the furniture line, so I could at least see the furniture in person, although they did not have the coffee table itself. Fine. The person with whom I had spoken on the phone was apparently on break when we got there, so another sales person "helped," and by that, I mean she told us to go walk around to see if we liked anything. When we were ready to speak with her, it took me about 10 minutes to catch her attention because she was too busy chatting with another co-worker. She could see me standing there, but her personal story was far more important to finish... as opposed to helping me, the customer. (I'm rolling my eyes right now.) By the time she did acknowledge me, and I was allowed to tell her about this piece of furniture I wanted to see, it turns out the woman we initially spoke to over the phone confused the furniture lines. She "thought" there was a piece at the store we could view, but it turns out that was a DIFFERENT line with a similar name, and there were actually NO pieces in the store with the line I liked. Naturally. Still rolling my eyes, but now with disappointment added. It gets better. While we had been walking around, I found a lovely coffee table still in the traditional style, however, I was not enamored with the fake-looking attempt at wood grain stain. It looked quite sloppy and frankly, pieced together. I could have done better myself. It didn't have the natural look of long, sleek grains of wood... but more like a crosspatch quilt. Fine for a quilt but not for trying to pass off as a beautiful wood table. I didn't need a salesperson to explain what I could see with my eyes, but when she did try to explain it, she ended up making it worse. She clearly had NO idea, and she kept trying to explain why the solid wood (which it wasn't) was just following the natural grain (which it wasn't). The more she spoke, the more I told her otherwise, and each time, she'd try to backpedal and just made it worse..... and made me quite angry. She ultimately admitted that IF it had been solid wood, the price tag would have been far more expensive. That was the first honest thing she said. Thank goodness, she walked away, and so did we. What a waste of our time. They clearly don't know their furniture lines... or can't keep them straight... and nor do they appear to know the different kinds of wood furniture, either. read more

I purchased some Stickley Mission style furniture there many years ago. Fine furniture. Finally my 260 lb body had worn out the recliner chair mechanism. I couldn't find the right size anywhere. I called Feddes and they were happy to help me. They got me the right mechanism at a very reasonable price. They did a lot of work on this back and forth with the factory. I got the mechanism, installed it and now my chair is good as new. This after sale customer service is what sets these folks apart from most others. Everyone I dealt with was happy and helpful. If I could give Fedde Furniture ONE HUNDRED STARS, it would still not be enough ! In October 2022, I ordered a Stressless Admiral Recliner. When it arrived though, the leather upholstery was off-gassing, so I delayed picking it up for 4 weeks. Long story short: After I brought it home, the off-gassing never resolved. I left an online message 2 days ago describing how even after 9 months, there was no improvement. Mark called me the next morning and offered me a full refund. I brought the chair back this afternoon (still in mint condition) and was handed a check. Unbelievably excellent service! It is needless to say that you will not find the typical RTA (Ready to assemble) examples that many of us tend to see now. Just an update. We finally replaced the piece, a sofa, that we had bought at Fedde's and that had been so disappointing. We ended up at The Sofa Company. I was extremely skeptical going in, but the people there were so knowledgeable and helpful that we ended up buying there, and the sofa seems of somewhat better quality than what we got at Fedde's. The other Fedde's stuff we've bought is holding up fine for its age. In short, Fedde's is okay, and I would still go there, at least to shop, but I no longer assume that whatever they sell will be really good quality or that we'll get great service. read more

We have purchased furniture at Fedde in Pasadena for over 15 years and have always admired the quality especially in the Stickley furniture.

I have bought several pieces of furniture from Fedde's and i have absolutely nothing to complain about. I talked to different sales people and every single one of them was very polite and helpful. Last year i was looking for an arm chair and the lady who worked with me spent a lot of time helping me to find the right color so it would match my other furniture. I even brought a cushion from my sofa in order to compare the colors. I also bought from them Handcock and Moore sofa, love seat and an ottoman. All of them had to be custom made so i had to wait for 3 months. Sales people told me upfront that it will take that long and i had no problems waiting. It was well worth it because Handcock and Moore furniture is absolutely beautiful and really well made. If you come to this store looking for cheap furniture you probably will be disappointed because they are rather expensive. read more

Unless you live near Pasadena, getting post sale service can be a drag. We bought a leather love seat in March that developed a tear. I called and spoke to the sales person (Michael, VERY nice) who advised me not to worry, Fedde's would pick it and have it repaired. Problem was they are in Pasadena and I am on the westside, which meant that I had to wait two weeks for pick up and two more weeks delivery after it was repaired. OK, Fedde's has very nice Mission style furniture with a humongous display of Stickley furniture at good prices and the staff is very helpful, so instead of two stars I am giving it three stars. Just be aware, there are some issues if you do not live in Pasadena.. That said, I would go back and due business with Michael again. read more

That said, we were about to purchase thousands worth of furniture, and apparently you can't change your mind here and hold off on one item without being yelled at. Very good selection of name brand and various small furnitire makers for a very wide range of budgets. We've been looking for a decent furniture store since re-locating from Seattle. The West side is tough unless I'm missing spots. We've hit Macy's, Restoration, WS Home, Elm, Pottery Barn and the others, but had not found a good independent store with lots of brands. Only downside of this place, (besides location), is the amount of Mission style furniture and extremely dark, antique-looking stuff wastes a ton of space. I went into Fedde Furniture fairly apprehensively because of some of the previous reviews about the sales people, but I wanted to give Fedde a try because they carry some of the quality furniture brands I had read about. When my partner and I walked in we were immediately greeted by Nancy who was extremely friendly without being pushy or hovering. (Also to note, we are fairly young and were wearing shorts and t-shirts - we do not look like fancy big spenders). She answered our questions and directed us to the section of the store that had the type of furniture we were looking for. She checked in on us a couple times but didn't hover and let us do our thing. She seemed very knowledgeable about the brand we were looking at and was able to answer our questions about quality, construction, etc. We found a sofa we really liked (after looking at what feels like all of the other furniture stores in Pasadena and being concerned about quality) and decided to buy it. For reference, we were about to by one from PB but after reading reviews online became concerned about the quality and longevity. We're buying a leather sofa and really want it to last. We chose a Bradington Young sofa that has 8 way hand tied springs (which I've now learned is important) and solid wood construction so for the same price as a PB sofa we're getting what we hope will be a really quality piece of furniture. The one we chose didn't come standard in the color we liked but there were probably 50+ color options to choose from when ordering custom, plus 5 or 6 leg color options. Nancy told us it would take 8-10 weeks to be delivered (for $95) so I'll update my review once we've received our sofa. But 5 stars for Nancy, she was friendly, available, respectful and not at all pushy. A truly wonderful sales experience! read more

This is my favorite furniture store!! We like arts and craft furniture which is hard to find, and they have a great selection. We've purchased several pieces from them and been extremely happy with everything. The quality is great and continues holding up well, and the customer service has been excellent!!! They have gone out of their way to accommodate us during the pandemic, and, now that I saw they've just reopened, we'll be heading over there today to purchase a few more things!! Mark is amazing, my experience with this furniture was awsome, I bough 2 sofas in January 8th 2017 and 1 is a sleeper air mattress, I can't say with words how helpful has Mark been to us. Not very helpful! I need some in stock floor pieces for a client, I'm doing several rooms in the house and can't come in before they close. When I asked for pictures of their clearance chairs or specific pieces the answer I got was that they don't have cameras on the floor and and showroom is too big. Hmmm... I'm not a wealthy man, but I have a soft spot for Arts and Crafts furniture. Which means, I am usually "just looking" in places like Fedde's. But, nonetheless, the staff here have never made me feel like I was any less valuable to them than someone buying an entire Stickley living room set. PROS: Really great sales staff: gracious, friendly, helpful and never stuck-up. Awesome floor, with almost every model of Stickley furniture I'd ever want to test-sit. Brought my 5 year-old with me, and spent an hour getting comfy in various settles, rockers and morris chairs. I bought a Stickley morris chair here (the incomparable "Gus"). The price was very fair, and every time I walk in, they seem to remember me. CONS: Well, this is what they call "heirloom" furniture. So if you don't have a grand to drop on a rocking chair, you're probably gonna walk out empty handed. read more

Our salesperson, Molly is outstanding! If you want excellent customer service, find her!! I have taken my elderly parents there several times. This last time, we purchased two leather recliners. My mother is extremely picky, so we had to special order a specific color, etc. Molly brought samples to their home and made sure my mother would be satisfied before we purchased. She was so patient and caring. We've never experienced a hard-sale with her. We highly recommend working with Molly!!
