I walked in to the store and was looking at the tea, I moved to my left and saw all the hats and as I was about to go down the 1 stair to look at them and a SCREAM came out of the woman who worked there. "OH MY GOD, YOU CAN NOT GO IN THERE" she yells. I was shocked, she told me that the linens in that room were a billion thread count and that if I spilled my drink in there I would be responsible for having them cleaned... OK- I responded- But my cup is empty? She then (still yelling) proceeded to tell me that she didn't care if my travel cup was empty, I would spill, the sheets would be ruined, and life as we all know it would practically be ruined. So, I smiled and decided not to waste my time looking at hats in a room with billion thread count sheets that I would most certainly ruin. In fact, I decided not to waste any more of my time in that store AT ALL. I will NEVER go back there or into any of its partner stores. The best part was when I went to leave, I suggested that perhaps there should be a sign or something that said, "NO DRINKS IN THE HOSPITALITY ROOM" her answer? They had one, but it fell down and no one ever read it anyways. I guess it is easier to yell at people at 10:15 in the morning. And FYI- I would have been WAY more concerned with the horse poop encrusted boots I had on tracking across the carpet, then my empty travel cup of coffee....just saying.

This last time the owners, Bill and Susan, were hosting a jewelry show featuring local artists of course. I will admit I probably spent more than I should have, but I came away with some truly unique and lovely items to include a Christmas gift for my mom who also loves jewelry. From this write up you might think the gallery features only jewelry, but that is not the case. I noticed art on the walls and sculptures/gifts throughout the store. The one commonality being unique local art. The owners of this lovely store were kind and helpful. I was able to try on the jewelry and wander about the store as I browsed around some more. When it came time to check out, I was even offered a small discount - maybe because I had decided to purchase 4 items. At any rate, it was greatly appreciated as was the glass of wine to enjoy during the art show. This shop is a class act and I will return.
