I had to get fingerprinted for the California state bar, which is making all CA attorneys get re-fingerprinted, ugh. I didn't make an appointment here but showed up around 2:45 pm on a Tuesday - and no one else was there or waiting. But the woman was on the phone and did make me wait for about 5 minutes before she would even tell me what to do...it was a strange beginning to the experience. After she got off the phone, she was very nice and helpful and an expert fingerprinter - she rolled each of my fingers perfectly, and thank goodness because it cost me $49 to get the cards mailed to me and I don't want to pay that again. She also had stuff to help me get the ink off afterwards, which was easy and appreciated. I followed other reviewers' advice to bring cash and an envelope to put the cards in. Since I had two fingerprint cards, it cost $20 - it is $10 a set. Note: Suite 915 has about 4-5 entities listed and Federal Services is in pretty small print but just aim for 915, it is clearly numbered (and the floor is not very big). read more

I have to say that it's not everyday that I need my fingerprints taken. But an opportunity at work surfaced and in order to take advantage of it, I needed to obtain a clearance (which required fingerprints). Located in the heart of downtown near the Farraguts, this office is nestled on top of a high-rise building that is very clean and very quiet. The receptionist at the front (on the 1st level) just had me sign in and then let me up the elevators. I arrived on the 9th floor and a few small signs directed me to the right suite. While the door was closed, it was quickly answered when I knocked by a very nice lady. She was extremely polite and very courteous. Not to mention super fast. After I quickly washed my hands and handed her the official fingerprinting cards, she set to work. She completed both sets in a very short period of time. Then she certified the sheets, gave me some sort of high-powered ink hand cleaner, and wrote up a receipt for me. I was back on my way in no time. The office is located on the 9th floor, so you have to check in at the lobby and provide some form of ID. Take the elevator and make a right once you get out, and keep walking until you reach the door. Make sure to knock since I didn't see any door bell, if I recall correctly. I have been fingerprinted about 5 times and this was by far my best experience. I called ahead and a receptionist answered. She said I could come in whenever or I could make an appointment. She was not currently busy, so I popped right over. I was promptly and politely greeted by the same woman I spoke to earlier. She is also the fingerprinting person. She was really kind. More importantly, she was fast as hell. She had me printed, paid and out the door in 10 minutes. It was easy and painless. Highly recommend this place. First, very accessible location. The problem is the fact that it is hard to find street parking during business days. Wherever you find parking, consider to rent bicycles or scooters to take you there. Please be safe and use caution riding them in the streets. I needed to complete a background check aka fingerprint for my eventual move to Canada. All the places back in the city charge a minimal $35 and require appt. Thanks to Yelp, I found Federal Inc! It offers the same service for only $10 and welcomes all walk ins! I was in and out of there within 10 mins. The clerk was very sweet and helpful. I got fingerprints done for my volunteer work at Federal Services. As previous reviewers stated, bring $10 cash and the process moves pretty quickly. I went on a Saturday and they suggest you call in advance to make sure there is a staff person available. (I was told that since Saturdays are pretty slow, they may not come in during the written scheduled hours). My only complaint was that they did not provide an envelope for you to put the stamped card in. I was given a torn magazine page to wrap it up in. (Pro tip: bring your own large envelope or folder.) Wasn't sure what to expect but I chose Federal Services, Inc. because it seemed to be the cheapest option and I had to get 3 finger print cards completed. Noemi is friendly and helpful. I came to Federal Services thinking I needed fingerprinting for a California criminal background check. Naomi --an angel-- understood what I needed better than I did. She suggested an FBI background check and knew of a way to get it without having to wait the 10-12 week processing times (even for legal temporary resident foreigners in the US). Very disappointed they DO NOT accept credit card. When I called to express the simple feedback to the owner that credit card transactions options might be something to look into she became very uninterested in my comment. For a small business, I completely understand that transaction costs can be high but there are DOZENS of alternatives she is not interested in looking in to. read more

There are not a whole lot of places to get fingerprinted (unless you are a DC resident, then you can go to the PD). I'm glad I was able to find this place and get my fingerprints done. The price is reasonable (my local PD charges the same price) and the service was great. read more

I visited the office in June 2018 with my husband and child to get signatures witnessed for our child's EU passport application. Noemi was not very helpful in person, we had to explain the instructions to her multiple times (even though they were in writing on the form). We also had to ask her multiple times not to do things that would invalidate the application. After we sent in the application our embassy called her and she invalidated the application anyway because she told them she did not remember if we had come in together to sign the forms. Clearly she kept no records of our visit. I was under the impression that notaries were supposed to keep a log of what they had witnessed. This is a huge inconvenience for our family. read more

Do not come here!!! They don't offer the service they say they will. They demand money prior to handing you a finger print card. Then they give you a fingerprint card which is already partially filled out. When asked to return the money since a partially filled out form will not be accepted the woman refused. I paid the fee for a card that I cannot use--what a waste of money! read more
