I scheduled appointment here to get my fingerprints done. The lady that works there is vry rude and very unprofessional. I was having trouble finding where the suite was, and she looked at me and said "what is wrong with you". I have done fingerprinting a handful of other times for licensing purposes, and this was by far the least sketchy place of them all (although once I had to go to a police station). It was recommended to me by my workplace. The building is modern, and the waiting area is shared with a dermatologist's office. After writing my name down, I was helped as soon as Susan was done with the last client. She was very friendly and the process didn't take long. She gave me a receipt without being asked which was nice. There isn't a lot of parking in the area, but it is close to the metro. read more

This place provides fingerprinting and notary services for job applications, court documents, background checks, etc. Services are performed on a walk-in basis, so no appointment is necessary. I dropped by on a Wednesday mid-afternoon and was in out and in under ten minutes... it cost me $17 for a set of fingerprints and notarization of one document. Note that payment is accepted in CASH ONLY. The ladies here weren't overly friendly, but they did get me in and out promptly... what more can you really ask? read more

This is a great place to get fingerprinted, but not if you're trying to hold a conversation. The place is open 9-5 and take cash only. No need to make an appointment because they do walk ins. I was in and out in 10 minutes which was efficient. However, it will be at least 5 minutes per person in front of you on the list. The operation is one lady and she doesn't provide much help. She asks you how many cards you need. You fill them out and then give her payment. That simple. Once complete, she fingerprints you, then puts the completed cards in an envelope for you. If you need fingerprinting, this is a convenient spot to get to off of the Blue/Orange-Farragut West metro stop. Make sure you bring cash (it's $15 for the first fingerprint card and $10 for the second). Call ahead of time to double check. If you don't have cash on hand, there is an ATM at the cafeteria next door. I came during a weekday afternoon and had to wait about 10-15 minutes. Allow yourself time in case there is a line and have a basic understanding of what the expectations should be. This is a fingerprinting joint...not a day spa where someone waits on you hand and foot. If you've never completed fingerprint forms or don't have a sample with you, you may want to bring one along or be prepared if you want a smooth appointment. Fortunately, I had a sample that was quick and easy to follow. I used this place for fingerprinting and it was awesome. But 5 stars awesome you might ask? Here is why the answer is "yes". I originally had an appointment at Mobilefingerprinting Services around the corner. To make that appointment it took multiple e-mails (obviously I didn't think there would be a big difference in where I got fingerprinted) but it was finally settled and confirmed. I arrived and waited for the person to show up but after 25 minutes decided to leave as there was no sign of anyone. As I was leaving the building annoyed with the lack of professionalism I chatted with someone who actually told me they had heard the business wasn't run well and told me about the walk in place around the corner. This place was Central Business Services. Not only was it walk in, it was $15 as opposed to the $25 at the original place. Plus the woman (Ms. Bobbio?) was funny and kooky...and I like me some funny and kooky. In and out in 15 minutes and when you're paying for parking on K st. that makes a big difference. Also, she gave me the forms I needed to fill out and an envelope to mail them in. Lets just say there's really no down side to Central Business Services....and it beats being blown-off and paying more the next block over! read more

This place is just so unprofessional and rude. Receptionist are on their cellphone texting/playing and hardly knowledge that someone is there. Then the person that actually takes the finger print is rough and rude. She yanked my hand so much it actually hurt at the end of that 5 minutes. She instruct me when doing my finger print, instead she tried to manually yank my hands/fingers. And she kept telling me to look out the window rather than looking at my fingers. I hope I never have to deal with this office ever again. read more

As the other posts have said, you do not get much more than the basic service here. I went in for fingerprinting for a security clearance. They were pretty efficient (in and out in half an hour), but it is a one woman office, and that woman happens to be incredibly rude. She gives you paperwork, with no instructions, and then expects you will know which fields to fill out. If you ask for help, she asks like you are interuppting her and wont really talk to you. For something like a security clearance, you want to be sure the paperwork is filled out perfectly. She doesnt seem to get that or care. When it came to the actual fingerprinting, she grabs your hand without any words and starts manipulating your hands to get the fingerprints. Rather than tell you what she is doing, she just forces your fingers in the position she wants. Gets the job done, but pretty rude, and unnecessarily so. If you dont have options, this will work, but there has to be a better option out there. read more

Extremely rude and unprofessional. I called and they kept their time yelling at me, laughing, just terrible. They claim they are open on Friday. this is not the case. They are reportedly not open Thursday and Friday. I do not recommend at all. Lack of respect for others and especially clients should not be rewarded with customers. read more

Quick and easy notary services. I've been here twice this year (fingerprints + notary seal), and it's no-frills, no-fuss service. Bring CASH and have a little extra time, and you'll be fine. Drill: Enter what looks like and is a doctor's office and sign in at the "Fingerprinting" clipboard. Wait an unknown length of time until the notary (1 woman operation) decides to come out and take your business. Just be polite and let the process happen. All forms have to be filled out by hand, so it takes her a few minutes, but it's really quite easy and she gives you a receipt at the end. Done! read more

Central Business Services, a fingerprinting and notary office, is located in the back of a doctor's office in a building near Farragut West. This business is more convenient than my county government office, which charges less money but takes longer for me to get to. They do not really take appointments, but I did call ahead to make sure that they were open and not busy. I went to this business twice to get my fingerprints done. Both sets were rejected by the FBI because "The quality of the characteristics is too low to be used." The cost was $15 cash only, but the woman let me have the second fingerprints for free because I had a letter from the state and Department of Justice mentioning the low quality. She did say that I would have to pay if I returned for a third set. Needless to say, I would try another fingerprinting business rather than come here and risk having my fingerprints rejected a third time. She was not very warm or communicative, but at least she did not charge me a second time. read more

Quick, convenient place to get fingerprinted. I found this place searching Yelp. It was only a 1/2 block from my office. I called to be sure they were open and asked if I could come right over. I was told ok. I was in and out of the business in 10 minutes. I already had the (2) cards I needed filled-out upon arrival. Ms. Bobbio had me sign-in and then immediately took me to her office in the back. Please note she shares space with a doctor office, so there is a nice waiting room if she can't take you immediately. I gave her my cards and the $25 fee (cash-only). I received a receipt. She fingerprinted me, had moist towelettes to clean my fingers, and I was done. read more

So, the service is in a dermatology clinic, but it isn't that big of a deal. I actually needed this service a year after going to this dermatologist so it was convenient to know it existed here. It's super convenient and walk-ins are accepted. If I can offer tips to get through the process easily here they are: 1.) this lady isn't mean. Just greet her with a smile and be respectful. 2.) she did ask me to stare out the window during the printing, but I do tense up and you can't do that during printing. 3.) she thanked me for having exact change ready, so if it helps you have an enjoyable process, have exact change. 4.) she was super chatty with me and wanted to know all about the process I was going through. read more

Some people have said she's not the nicest, but that's not true - she's just no-nonsense, and if you're nice to her, she'll eventually warm up. But it doesn't really matter, because you're not there to make friends, you're there to get your fingerprints done. This place is super random because it's located in a doctor's office, but you get everything you need. She has cards for you (but she doesn't tell you how to fill them out, unless you have specific questions) and she's quick. You may have to wait a few minutes to get in (I got there at 8:55 and waited 5-10 min to get in), but once in, it goes pretty quickly (about 10 minutes to fill out the cards and get the prints done). Needed fingerprints for a visa. The wait was longer than expected (had to wait in a doctors office before being called in for fingerprints?), about half an hour. The actual process of fingerprinting was short, but the technician was incredibly rude. I was handed a form with no instructions, and the lady would not answer ANY of my questions (preferred to roll her eyes instead of help me). She even yelled at me when I didn't put "put her pen back where it belongs" (sorry, how am I supposed to know where it goes when you were the one who handed it to me?). Brusquely, and somewhat painfully, contorts and jams your fingers into the ink and then creates the prints with what felt like bone-crushing force onto the paper. Gave only 3 stars though because was charged $35 for 2 cards even though the rate advertised was $25 (there is even a sign saying it is $25 for 2 cards next to the sign in board). I called to ask if I needed an appointment and the lady's answer was "of course!" then I asked whether or not their will be a wait and she said 10minutes and hung up on me. Once I got to this place their was 2 people waiting for their turn. Then 2 more people joined and while I was on my lunch break, she proceeded to help everybody but including those who came before me!) So i went to the receptionist who was in shock who later after having a brief discussion with her let me in the room where the woman had began to help people. She literally threw the finger print card at me and told me to fill it out. I asked if I could use her pen and she ignored me! Her client gave me a pen and after I was done filling out the card she still ignored me and helped the other individuals. Normally I am not that patient but I had to pretend it was not happening because I needed the finger print for a visa because I was scheduled to travel and I need the Visa! When she Finlay was done with finger my right hand she literally tossed my hand to the side and I said" are you OK?" She said "why are you complaining!" and responded "it seems like you have a problem with me" I asked "Did I do something to offend you" She said you complain about me to the receptionist" I responded" You helped several ppl that came in after me and I have been waiting for almost an hour! she proceeded quietly until she was done and she said"get out!" I have never anyone treat me that way but I plan on letting very body know how horribly I was treated in that place read more

The place is locate right by the metro Faragut West.. My wait was about 2 mins, the person handling the Finger printing greeted me and was very plesant, She advised me I left out some fields. She process the payment and did my finger prints. We had a convo on Sandy and how the people in NYC were doing and I was out. Very easy process. It is loated within a doctors office. read more

I agree with Amanda's review. I needed a couple of documents notarized, and was in and out fairly quickly all for about $10 (Cash only). I too thought that the customer service could be vastly improved, but it won't stop me from going back if the need arises again. read more

I was on lunch with limited time and ended up leaving without any services because of the wait. I went to Ms. Bobbio today to get fingerprinted, and was prepared for the encounters described on Yelp. Instead, she was waiting at the front desk to greet the next patron. She whisked me on back into a doctor's office, of all places, but her notary office was more than sufficient. She instructed to fill out the fingerprint cards, and she thankfully answered all my questions. We had a pleasant conversation about the agency that sent me to get fingerprinted in the first place. Then, she brought me by the window to her workstation and commenced the printing. She was not rough with my hands or anything of that nature. She did a great job on the prints and was super efficient. The entire process took around 15 minutes. Not bad. I suspect people's reports of her being brusque or rude stem from the fact that English is not her first language. I found Ms. Bobbio to be a great service, and perfectly nice. read more
