I emailed and called Barbara, she did not reply/return calls. I had to physically go to the office to get a response, which was her sitting behind a desk in a separate room and attempting to yell to me she did the taxes right, the IRS must be wrong. She said the First Time Homebuyer Credit from 2008 was waived by the government and I don't need to pay it at all - WRONG! I have finally gotten through to the IRS by phone now on June 4 and have confirmed Barbara Glanz did my taxes incorrectly. Why did I pay $225 to have my taxes done by a professional, if she does not know the correct tax laws? If it weren't for my own research after the letter arrived, I'd be doing something illegal thanks to Barbara Glanz. She refuses to refund the money we paid her and refuses to research the laws she claims to know. This should stand as a huge warning to anyone looking into a new tax accountant. Glanz & Associates is NOT the business for you if you want your taxes handled correctly. I am filing a BBB claim once a new IRS letter confirming the taxes were done wrong is sent to me shortly, so that I have paper evidence for the claim.

Worst customer service experience I've ever had…read more I purchased both home and auto insurance, and shortly afterward I was told I needed to repair my roof or risk losing my policy. I completed the work within the given timeline, but was then told it was not sufficient and that additional repairs were required. Due to a snowstorm, I was unable to complete the extra work immediately--but instead of working with me, they canceled my policy anyway. This left me without coverage and created issues with my mortgage company. On top of that, my auto insurance was flagged for "non-payment," even though I paid the bill the same day I started the policy. Their explanation was that a notice had been sent via text message--but I never received it. There was no mailed notice or phone call to properly inform me. I was eventually able to make a payment and keep the policy at that time. To make matters worse, I never received a renewal notice, and my auto insurance ended up lapsing as a result. I currently have no car insurance and legally cannot drive. I have called the office twice and have not received a call back. Overall, this has been an extremely frustrating and stressful experience. I would strongly recommend going with a different agent or insurance company.

I was in contact with her throughout the tax period making sure she had all she needed leading up to the 4/15 deadline. Not only did she miss the deadline, she didn't communicate if she filed an extension. She left the office, didn't return calls nor return emails for approx 14 days & left us in the dark "after a grueling tax season and needed a vacation." I have never seen anything so unprofessional. This delay has lead us to pay multiple penalties to the US and state governments since we owed money and it wasn't filed on time. When she finally does decide to reply it's one excuse after another - vacations, slow seasons, busy season, lack of staff. Her negligence cost us time, a lot of money and stress!!! I do not recommend her whatsoever and regret working with her during an already emotional time in our family with the passing of our mother.
