Ever since I've had my small business I have gone to this local FedEx to do my printing, it's been about 5 years. Most of the time my task is straightforward & I don't have much interaction with staff. However, every single time I have had interactions it has never been pleasant. Across different female employees I've received the same cold customer service, they seem bothered to help, frustrated from the start if they have to explain something more than once the whole "mam let me tell you again..." saga & honestly I just felt embarrassed. I always hope I don't need to ask for help in there it literally makes me anxious to go there wondering what will the service be like if I dare ask for help. Yesterday a copy machine timed me out while I was waiting for the print code in the email and I had paid $10. I was trying to explain what happened & figure out how to get a refund or store credit as I still had my printing task to do. Long story short I have to wait for the system to recognize no prints were made & then the amount will return to my card. I spent an additional $29 for a pack of envelopes & 4 post card sized print outs & and extra charge because actual humans helped me behind the counter. Between the machine eating my $10 + earlier that day I had also been in to print & realized $10 only covered 18 basic paper copies I definitely was leaving there feeling like I didn't get my money's worth & was disappointed with the customer once again, but for the last time as I won't be going back. read more

It was my first time at this place and it would most certainly be the last. The moment I walked in, there was another customer who was very rude to me and my son. This was the only day I was able to go to the FedEx office to return something and unfortunately my son was crying which got the other customer mad. I have been here twice & both times excellent service. When I wanted to ship an item to my son in another state it had an expensive calculator & important paperwork. I thought that meant certified mail. She told me unless the item/paperwork were essential to not be read or used by other than the sender or receiver, signature upon delivery & package insurance would be a whole lot cheaper. I had no idea that was available so really appreciated the advice. I then said I needed overnight delivery. Again; (I think she knew I was a little new at this), she asked me if it was critical he got it the next day. Pick up hadn't been done yet so it would only be 2 days before he got it. (So one extra day.) I was grateful she didn't try to make money off me before explaining my options. This will now be my go to for any shipping needs. read more

The woman who I approached for help was very cold and short with me. It was a simple ordinary task where I had used the FedEx website to generate a return label to be printed at a FedEx location. She didn't seem happy to help me at all. Felt as if I had inconvenienced her. ?????? It was sad to leave a local business feeling kinda bad and perplexed! The one star is because my item was shipped. I mailed several packages at this location. Customer service was excellent. On several occasions, they packaged the contents for me. On another occasions, I brought in a pre-package box and the FedEx customer Service mailed it. I do recommend using FedEx when mailing packages on Salinas. read more

This is what our world has come to, you have to do everything yourself. I don't blame the employees for lack of customer service, I blame FedEx for not wanting to hire enough people that is why they resort to the self copy system. I came here to make copies of blueprints, I have no idea what I am doing. And every single person coming in is as confused as the next. It was actually pretty comical to watch everyone come in and look for an employee for help. They do come, but obviously not happy to help, seemed very annoyed. I tried to make my copies, but then the machine said I could not and canceled my job, this happened twice and I was told the machine has an 80$ limit. I should be able to tell them what I want and they can just print it?! I miss the good old days of customer service. Will not be returning. read more

Never come here if you have to make copies. They've changed their process of making copies. It's so complicated now. First you have to use a machine to purchase your pre paid card. Then you have to wait in line to use the copy machine. Then you have to insert your card into another machine then choose what size copy you want, then hit copy. I got lost in the process and had to ask for help. When I left my card said I had 30 cents left on it. I had another copy to make in the car so I came back in to to copy it. After I followed all the procedures it told me I had insufficient funds available on my card. I still got my copy but left there frustrated. read more

We often take paper there to have cut to a size for us to use in crafting. They do a good job and have it ready fairly quickly. Using FedEx has saved us a lot of time and is far more precise than trying to use our cutters at home. read more

The employees at this store lack customer service skills. I entered the store with a package. I stood in line, directly in front of the two individuals working the counter. I was not greeted by either of them. I didn't receive any acknowledgment at all, whatsoever. I come to this location probably once or twice a week for shipping needs related to work. Service is almost always great. There is one gentleman with a ponytail if I remember correctly who I also believe is the manager of the store, who is really friendly. Another lady (short hair sometimes with glasses) who is usually working at the shipping counter, well she is awesome. I see her sometimes by herself multitasking the best she can. Now the following may sound rude or pretentious but I'm going to say it anyway. I have no idea how these employees keep a straight face or be calm throughout their encounters with clients. I feel bad even calling them clients. I tend to people watch and ease drop on conversations while waiting in line or what not and there are so many stupid and ignorant people that walk into the store. From people who can't follow simple instructions on the machines, to people who think they are entitled. As a regular customer, the staff members already know what I usually need the moment I walk in; they also call me by my first name which is nice. I love taking their customer satisfaction surveys because they really deserve all the accolades, seriously. These guys know what they're doing! Claudia, Victoria, Miguel, Olivia, and Gloria are my favorites! They're so knowledgeable and make excellent recommendations. They're also honest when something's not going to work out and would offer alternative solutions. I'm not related to them in any way other than as a customer. I've been coming here for years and the quality of their services hasn't changed: still top-notch! They've saved me from last minute deadlines multiple times which I am grateful for. They're able to meet the very demanding needs of most customers, especially those in the customer service, healthcare, and design field. They do passport photos---in and out in 5min and $16+ change. After tax I have been using the copying and photo services at this location since 1992..... The name on the sign may change. The faces inside change too. But the services and location remain steady. the parking lot is awful. the two entrances, one off S.Main street, the other off John street are both off of streets FAR too busy for the traffic they see. be careful and be patient. its fine once you get inside. read more

People in this store do not know the services they offer. I called ahead of time from Carmel to see if they would be able to ship. The representative told me that they they had the right box and should be able to ship it without a problem. I reiterated if they would be able to ship the bike without me having to take it apart and he said they would be able to. Thus, I drove all the way from Carmel to Salinas and took in my bank inside the store. The lady at the counter told me that they could NOT ship my bike! that I had to take it to a bike shop so they could package it for me. I told her that that was completely different from what I was told by the other rep and she just said, "Well, he gave you the wrong information". Waste of my time. read more

Gloria was very friendly and helpful. When ups couldn't ship my package she helped me with this service. She was super busy assisting one customer on the phone, one with the copy machines and another customer with shipping questions. She did it all without looking flustered and with a smile. This store has all your shipping needs along with copy machines to take care of documents you need to copy. Parking is pretty tight and at times a little dangerous but take your time and you'll be happy you stopped here to take care of your business read more
