I got a lot of confusing information from their rep Regis, mistakes on the quotes, and then a lot of attitude from him as well. When I asked to speak to Santiago I was told "that was a different time"... meaning that the owner no longer talks to customers...he is too big for that now. Never again. They are not the company they once were.

I have used their services back in 2013 for picking up and shredding documents. I had decided to…read moredrive up recently (within about 7days of the new year) and save some time and money. Here's the thing about old documents,like maybe some of you out there, I still had a lot left going back some 16 to 17 years. Now like a lot of people out there I have a shredder. Let's be honest though,how many of us (10 pages at a time) will actually shred such a big amount in a relatively short time? Raise your hand. (Pause). Yeah me neither. This is where neighborhood parcel comes into the picture. They are quick and efficient. If you take the drive up there my advice is to look for parking space 999( no not even making this up) as that is right in front of the building. They remembered me from a few years ago (hey I had a ton of old papers then). They are friendly as well and weigh each loose bag by the pound. Ironically I filled out and had them mail out the notarized certificate of document destruction. They will also email it to you only if you prefer. I can't tell you how much time they saved me (as I am getting to that stage in life of weighing time vs. money vs. the fact I won't do it all myself in this case). The relief of knowing that these old documents I was never going to look at again were all gone is priceless. If you've got a whole lot of documents you have been "meaning to get to" bring them here.

I wouldn't let them pack my groceries! Our family moved from FL to VT and between my wife, my brother and myself, we packed a 28' trailer full and everything arrived with no damaged items. We hired Daniel's Moving/NEMM to pack two 28' trailers and in the end, they caused an estimated $4k-$6k worth of damages to our belongings. It's "estimated" because we've yet to receive the final invoice for some of our belongings that are being repaired. In all, the Daniel's Moving/NEMM crew showed up to our house... We told the crew that we rented two 28' trailers and even though we were renting them by the foot, that we had no problem with them using every inch of both trailers, as long as our belongings were safe. They loaded boxes with RED arrows pointing up, upside down. Boxes with 4-6 "FRAGILE" stickers on them were packed on the bottom of stacks with boxes marked "HEAVY" on top. They packed things that we asked them repeatedly NOT to pack. A box with my Mother's ashes in it, along with her fragile electronics (iPhone and MacBook) was loaded upside down and at the bottom of a heavy stack. One crew member injured himself by accepting a bet of another crew member to lift ALL of my wife's weights at the same time, the owner (Fred Allard) called me asking why one of his guys was at the ER and then said that if my wife and I didn't write out statements, that we/our insurance could be liable. After all of this, Fred Allard told us that because we didn't hire them to drive our belongings to next destination, that they are not liable. When I requested that he just file the claim with insurance, he told me that it could take up to 6 months and that it would likely be denied. After a month, I reached out for an update and was told that he had been busy with personal things and that he would file it. A week later we asked for the claim number and that's when he began ignoring us and we haven't heard from him since.

Nico and jay made sure the same guys came back to move everything back up to the second floor even though i had to reschedule the move back in date due to flooring issues. Mohammed disassembled and reassembled my complicated fridge both to move it downstairs and move it back up which was such a relief due to the complicated nature of the fridge. Nowhere did it say "Poseidon moving" . 2) the men who helped load the trucks were from "Hidalgo movers" again nowhere did it say they were from Poseidon moving 3) once I got the keys to my apt, and spoke to my landlord about that big 18 wheeler coming by, he said absolutely not. So I informed the company the day before " hey yall can't bring that 18 wheeeler in you will have to transfer my items into a smaller moving truck" . They said they understood , however the day of the move I see the 18 wheeler at the entrance of the apartment complex blocking the entrance . It was extremely embarrassing. Then some two dudes come by in a ford truck and trailer . With plates from Alabama . Again I have no idea who they were , they didn't have any Poseidon moving logos. Furthermore they asked for water?! And I had none obviously . 4) my boxes came in smashed, and I'm somehow missing two items that I literally saw them load in the truck : my piano stand and my towel rack. I'm not sure how these items could've gotten lost if my items were never transferred out of that initial 18 wheeler.

Despite the careful protection, there were minor scuff marks on a couple of pieces, but nothing worth trying to repair. On time, under budget, and in good order. It doesn't get better than that.
