Right from the start the buyer should have been told that it wasn't professional to discuss clients but that's not what LaChance did. Not only did they discuss us, they lied to the buyer and told them that they'd been telling us for years that we needed to do something about the hard water issue. Untrue. But, since they lied to the buyer, the buyer tried to con $5000 out of us. After the sale was completed, they called our realtor, and told her what LaChance did. They graciously (ha!) condescended to not report us (to whom?!) if we gave them $5000 to fix the problem. IT'S CITY WATER! The filtration was a bonus not a necessity. LaChance wanted more business/money and used our unpleasant and devious buyers to try and get it. On a side note - all the service men who came to the house were very polite and helpful. It's the office personnel that were unprofessional.

Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.

I called Aqua Specialties and left a message on thier answering machine. I got a call back that and Chris came over to see what was wrong. He found our pump had been turn off and switched the circret breaker on for the pump. ( my husband thought he was truning the hot water tank off) The pump came back on and it worked fine. Chris then went out side to see the water run and it was still murky. He said let it run for 20 mins on and 20 mins off to clean the sediment out.
