Disclaimer: This is based on my average of two visits to this place. I had to fight myself to not give it a 1-star rating because of a black gentleman who works in this location and who showed a rare trait of being helpful and compassionate. Here goes the detailed review: Reached this place around seven in the evening and was held at two desks with really slow gentlemen. We still held our patience and finally reached the desk where we were informed that we had to fill out an additional customs form because this shipment was being sent overseas (all good so far). We consulted our colleague who had sent such shipments multiple times and she informed us that this is usually done by the FedEx agents and then can help you but the gentleman at counter 2 would not deter at all and forced us to fill out the form. We had to forfeit the line and fill it out and then get back in line (By this time it was 7.30 and the place closes at 8.15 pm) After we filled out the form, we went to counter 3 since counter two was busy and handed him the form. This person placed the form facing down and did not even look at the form and he said he would take care of everything. We re-confirmed and he confirmed that he does not need this form and he can fill it out on the internal website. (Stared at counter 2 rep and continued). We were very grateful to him but I guess it was too early to judge. He asked why we did not print the label at home and we mentioned we were in a hurry. At this point he gave us totally unnecessary information - "you know you would be charged 20% extra since you are wasting my time to fill out this form and print out the label". - These exact words. We were dumbstruck but were getting late so continued there somehow. Next, he could not upload the information. I gently asked if he could retry. He replied - "Hello, I have already tried 18 times and now it's 20. Try counter 1." With the clock at 7.50, we went to counter 1 where we were greeted with a smile. No requirement for the customs form as he helped to fill in the details and we were done in 10 min. He was so helpful and cheerful throughout the process. I wish I knew his name and would definitely write it here. The black gentleman is the only reason I am giving this horrible place with morose service a two-star and not a 1-star review. No point in screenshots to prove my point. This place is a s***hole, and therefore FedEx delivery in Gwinnett is complete dogs***. I had 2-day delivery anticipated for delivery 9-6. Item is out for delivery 9-5... Amazing, right?! Delivery guy fakes a delivery attempt for the record, item goes back to this location at some point and then is routed to the airport for a delay of who-knows-how long. I have been disappointed by FedEx service so many times I've lost count. I moved to an apartment complex in August, 2019 and since that time I've had to call in about destroyed packed, opened packages, damaged goods, medication that clearly states "Refrigerate upon Delivery " being left in the leasing office and parcel pending lockers; instead of being delivered to my door. I have had to contact FedEx CS and received calls from upper management regarding the issues and assured improved service, NOT. Today I received an alert indicating the "rare commodity, Charmin toilet paper had been delivered, just to find nothing at my doorstep!!! I have waited over a week for delivery considering the current circumstances the entire world is dealing with, but my items are much needed due to shortages that exists at grocery stores and the like. I live on the third floor, I am over 65/disabled and I do quite a bit of online shopping to circumvent having to carry heavy items up three flights of stairs. What's their excuse?? Literally just wanted to pick up a package that I wasn't home to sign for and it took the lady on the line like 20 minutes and 8 million "uhms" to to basically tell me that she couldn't tell me what time I'd be able to pick up and where I could pick up from. I do not know what is going on with Fed Ex. They seem to be very selective of the packages they want to deliver. My package was delivered to Ellenwood on the 24th of July, moved to Norcross location 4 days later and there it has sat. Today will be 2 weeks. What I don't understand is, I have received many packages from fed ex in this time. I have called many times to hear no news. It is my sign for my store front and can't open till I receive it. The worst shipper ever. They are never on time and 8 times out of 10 will out right LIE about delivery attempts.

This hub is an absolute mess. Overnight packages shipped are held here for a week at a time. Every day it says that my package (which requires signature) is going to be delivered that day but this hub never loads them on the truck. Every evening the delivery date shows as "Pending". I've had this happen with 5 packages thus far. Each time the packages show up looking like they've gone through a war. FedEx needs to send some quality control in through this hub. My quite expected Christmas present package was supposed to be delivered in one day 5 weeks ago but I still did not get it. And I was told that they are not going to unload truck where it is stored. FedEx is Horrible to use as a shipper. I wish businesses which is use UPS or USPS for delivery. FedEx has yet to deliver a package on time most of the time it's over five days late and they use the same excuse that they were backed up every time. Somebody needs to come in and re-organize FedEx if companies are still going to use them. read more

Disclaimer: I'm writing this review after a single absurd experience, and so please take my negative comments with a grain of salt. With that said, I'm going to give an average rating as I am bearing in mind all of the positive experiences I've had getting packages from drivers coming out of this ship center. Positives: The bulk of my packages will come from Amazon or Walmart (sorry, "little guy"). Amazon goes with UPS (and UPS is actually headquartered in the area, I believe), while Walmart ships via Fed Ex. My packages from UPS 2-Day shipping via Amazon prime are ALWAYS late by a day or two, without fail. Except for my most recent experience, my Fed Ex packages from Walmart or another company are almost always on time or even early. They also bring the package to my door in my apartment building, which is nice. So normally, I'm always relieved to see a company is using Fed Ex to ship instead of UPS. Thus, the three stars. Negatives: (Story Time) My most recent order entailed one of the weirdest ordeals I've had with a shipper. Granted it was a large, somewhat heavy package (65 lbs.), for some reason, for four straight business days, the delivery driver (out of this Norcross location) would not leave the package at my door, nor leave it in the leasing office of my apartment complex (which is where they are supposed to leave oversized packages). He/she would merely just say that the business was closed or that the recipient was unavailable. This is not true at all -- the leasing office is always open when he arrives, and on two of the occasions I made sure to be available for when he/she arrived, but there was not even an attempt at delivery. Ultimately I had to have the deliverer drop the package at a Fed Ex store and I had to drive and pick it up--which kind of defeats the point of ordering something online when I could have just driven to the store. Also, the person I spoke with on the phone to place the instruction to drop my package off at a Fed Ex store (because apparently my package would never be delivered if I didn't go with this option) was efficient, but very unconcerned with fundamental issue that the deliverer wouldn't even attempt delivery. I'm not sure if this was because the package was heavy and he/she just didn't feel like carrying it... but then what? Are you just going to leave it on the truck day after day until I put in a new order instruction for me to pick it up myself? Also, when I received the package, it was so damages that bolts I needed to actually put the item together had fallen out of holes in the box, so I couldn't even put the entire thing together and had to spend an hour on the phone with Walmart. Overall: Usually good, but this time I had an 8 day package delay, and they impliedly refused to deliver it until I put in a new order instruction for me to pick it up in the Fed Ex store--which defeats the point of having a shipper in the first place. TL;DR: for small/average sized items, this Fed Ex center is consistently very solid. For bigger items, forgo the hassle and just go get it in the store or have it shipped to a Fed Ex location (if you live in an apartment complex, that is). read more

Something is terribly wrong here. Even considering the issues currently with Covid, this Norcross office is having major delay issues, as is evidenced by the numerous news articles and stories about this location of late from outlets like the Atlanta Journal and 11 Alive. If you can have things shipped UPS for now (maybe forever?), I strongly recommend. I have at least two packages stuck there with no way to track or ever resolve apparently. read more

I'm scared to order anything online that uses FedEx to make deliveries. First they deliver my package to previous address and then re routine another package to McDonough GA I live in Atlanta GA. And now 12/01 They call me saying they need an apartment number and I live in a home. Using FedEx delivery manager, app or online is a joke. When notified about rescheduling deliveries it's already to late. And the tracking is non consistent. I understand circumstances regarding COVID-19 but what I don't understand is how deliveries can't be met. I ordered my bed in July I was shipped from the seller and arrived at the Norcoss location on August 8...its now the 19 and after many calls and being left on hold and speaking to lots of people to day the delivered the drawer just the drawer to my storage bed! I guess I should just put the drawer under my sheets on the floor... where I'm stuck sleeping until this company decides to send my bed. If that's not bad enough. If I could I would give less than 1 star. I live in 4040, and they deliver 4140 packages to me at least 2-3 times a month. It is impossible to get in touch with customer service, I have been on hold for close to an hour. I think the entire company is very unprofessional, that shows. Somehow, UPS and Amazon drivers can read, while the FedEx drivers aren't able to. It is very sad. read more

I had an issue with Fedex back in March 2017. I was scheduled to have a pkg delivered and the sender didn't put the unit number in the address. So the package couldn't be delivered. I called fedex three times a day for a week straight and they were clueless and unhelpful. This was a gift for a bachelorette party that I ended up having to get a different gift. EVENTUALLY somehow I got the number to the local branch (norcross) and the guy at the warehouse (he was super nice) even told me that the customer service number online is crap and they never contact the local branch. He told me to call them directly. The number is 770-743-4184. He checked the truck and the warehouse and they never ended up finding the package. He told me that I had to file a claim and go through the whole process with fedex. Luckily, I was able to get a refund through the shipper (which I had to argue a good 30 min on the phone with her). Spent an entire day at home waiting for an important shipment. The delivery person came to my door and did not knock or ring the bell....my office is 20 feet away.....this delivery person is either a Ninja or he was not interested in getting my signature. Then when i finally find the door tag after my son got off the school bus, i call to get it delivered. Did i get an i'm sorry, we'll get it right there? No ...i got "we can;t guarantee the driver can get back there." "I have called the driver and he has not responded." Does this company really think they are so big that this kind of poor service and outright denial of responsibility will not impact its business? I concur with the other reviewer here. Was having my fiance's birthday present delivered and it was a "signature required" delivery. So I took the entire day off work to sit home and wait. Driver claims he went to the door and someone told him I didn't live there. Seeing as I was the only one there the entire day, he obviously went to the wrong home and didn't care to verify it. I called FedEx customer "no" service and got bounced around for almost 2 hours on the phone and 7 different CS reps before they sent me to the local Norcross manager...I believe her name was Andrea. I told her my story and tell her it was a big problem...she told me (and I quote), "Well, it's not our problem because he tried to deliver and you werent there". Really? I took off freakin work all day and sat looking out the window for the driver. The driver was too lazy to verify my address and you tell me it's my problem? Then I called the main 800 number back and spoke to someone who at least was nice to me (Brandy), but they are telling me I need to sit at home from 8 am to 8 pm for another day and there's nothing they can do for me. If someone tells you they are shipping FEDEX, ask for alternate shipper. Three times in a row, they have claimed to have delivered my parcel, yet there is none. The two prior times, they were delivered at various neighbors houses, and FED EX asked me to go knock on my neighbors doors until I found my package. Tonight, with a $900 parcel, they told me the same thing. Bulls--t. They are contracted to provide a specific delivery service. They can figure out where they left it and deliver as they were supposed to. Either the drivers can't read, or are lazy as my driveway is a long one, and I guess they are too fat and lazy to,do thier jobs here in Alppharetta. Fed Ex seems to be challenging USPS for the worst delivery service available. This was not always the case - they seem to be hiring marginally-capable folks who are either unable or unwilling to provide the service a customer has paid for. I have had TWO shipments recently that were 'lost' - both eventually arrived, so they still are better than USPS, who has stolen several of my items in the recent past. For the future, I will only use UPS - never a problem with them. read more
