I, too, was expecting a package and received a notice that they couldn't deliver due to "incorrect/missing apt. or suite #". There is no apt. or suite # at my address. When I called Fedex support, I was transferred 5 times before someone told me that I had to contact Saks (as the sender) and get them to contact Fedex for re-delivery. Pissed is an understatement. I have been complaining to the Chelmsford location and finally when I called them today I had a compassionate staff member give me the proper information and let me know the Wilmington ship center is the responsible party for my deliveries being so screwed up! This is the THIRD time we've received packages and they've been plopped right in front of our door with no access to get inside. Irate. I am irate. Last time the were all over the walkway and in the grass. This is a two family home and it completely blocks access from my neighbor. The first time I called Chelmsford location I asked the associate to make a note that we need deliveries on back porch- to our unit. The second time I called they rudely told me to write a note on the door. So I do that and then this happens AGAIN. Called Wilmington to file a complaint with ground deliveries and for one the woman's head set was TERRIBLE. For two she could barely understand me because of language barrier and sound... and for three she refused to help me because I didn't have the tracking number. Why does part of my Walgreens order get delivered perfectly and the other part with multiple items go back to Wilmington multiple times and then read delayed? i called last night and supposedly my detailed directions to help the driver didn't get entered or the driver can't read? The first time was during a heatwave and you took my dog's prescription on a 4 day ride back and forth in the heat. I wish I could give 4 stars to the individual working there on a Saturday (and the fact that there was only 1 is an issue to me) and negative 2 stars to the rest of the experience here. Today I learned there is a difference between a Fed Ex Express Center and a Fed Ex Office Center. The former cannot do everything. My other beef was with the customer support center of a different business and their unacceptable instructions for returning something by Fed Ex and not explaining where one has to actually go to return-ship their item. You also need to plan for more time to visit here than you might think, especially on a Saturday. This place is in a remote back section of an office park off the main drag. Thank goodness they have a bright sign you can see from a distance. But because most of their business is transacted on weekdays, they're better staffed on those weekdays and not so well staffed on the weekends. Today it was just 1 person. Yet for many of people, Saturday is often the only day they can come here to take care of those incomplete transactions. With 1 person behind the counter, if there is a line, or someone in front of you has a problem, you can wait quite a while. Also, if you just happen to be paying cash for your transaction, plan for a bit more time. The majority of the transactions are electronic; if you plan to use actual money, they have to retrieve some from the back. If this is the place you have to go to take care of a Fed Ex deliver, my condolences. If you have a choice, consider the one in Woburn. read more

When a package is requesting to have direct delivery signature they should probably try to enter the apartment building and obtain the direct signature. Instead of pulling on the Leasing Office (separate building) door and deciding not to come to the correct building or bother. Really infuriating. I'm not confident they are going to deliver this correctly or possibly at all. I use this location all the time to ship and receive delicate priority overnight packages for my small business. They are always friendly and efficient and I am able to trust them with these packages, which I am very careful with. I use their hold-at-location pickup option to keep the packages safe from the sometimes rough temperature conditions on the delivery trucks and to prevent any delivery errors. I have to drive quite a way to get there because they are one of the only locations in the region authorized to handle "dangerous goods" shipping (loosely defined), but it is worth it. Most of the reviews here seem to be evaluating the FedEx deliveries to home rather than the location itself. The reason why so many packages show that they came out of this location is that it is a big area distribution hub--it has nothing to do with the actual ship center. It can be a bit hard to find, since my GPS claims that I have arrived right after I turn onto Cornell Place. You have to keep driving down the road past many parked trucks until you see the sign for the center on the left. read more

Just started as a package handler at this location about 2 weeks ago, I absolutely love it. They do so much for their employees, have great benefits, you get discounts on pretty much everything just by working as an employee at FedEx Ground (not too sure about other FedEx employees) management is super cool, chill place to work at and also Very diversed. You can wear whatever you want. Just show up to do your work and what you are there to do, pay attention listen, and do your job right they really don't ask for much. This company is truly amazing, I would recommend anyone to work here they definitely do not discriminate one bit. I'm speaking on my behalf, I wouldn't want to work anywhere else. This is the worst delivery service ever. I would have given 0 stars if that were an option. This isn't the 1st,or even 3rd time they have failed at any attempt of good customer service. Example 1 time they delivered my packages not only to a different bldg# but a completely different street. Another time I the driver threw the box from the truck so he wouldn't have to get off his *ss because all the liquid boxes were leaking all over everything else. Now the latest my pkg which was guaranteed delivery on the oct7 keeps being delayed they say for security reasons, which is that my street is closed off but I live right on the corner, in the center of town and they can park the truck across the street, on the corner, btw there are 3 streets directly across from my house all by the same name with numerous spots to park. It's about 50ft to my door maybe less. Also I've received pkgs from UPS, Amazon even today. So this is laziness and the PKG is medication for my sick cat. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Last month my husband was waiting for a package and each day he kept getting a message that they couldn't find our address. He called SEVEN times, even talked to a manager, gave explicit directions and was promised it would be delivered right away. Each day, same message "no such address." Our house is over 100 years old and has been here longer than fedex! My husband eventually just drove to the shipping facility to pick it up 1/2 an hour away. Yesterday we expected a package, found out it was shipped to another town 2 hours away by the name of our street. Called them once again, promised it would be delivered today. Yup! It was delivered today and arrived in a budget truck, brought to our door, I opened it up and the entire item (which was rather large and super expensive) completely smashed, metal bent - it look like someone drop kicked it across country. Although my package was 45 minutes late (was supposed to be available for pickup at 6:30, didn't come back until nearly 7:30), the staff here was friendly and accommodating. I didn't feel too inconvenienced, and while waiting I was able to watch them interact with other customers, and I would definitely not mind coming back again! For some reason, a package to be delivered to East Boston came out of this location. I was home to have the signature-required package delivered, but they didn't bother knocking on my door, and 10 minutes later I go outside to find a door tag that's not even filled out. I immediately called Amazon and they get FedEx on the line to contact the driver to come back to the house, but no one ever came back. This is Friday, and I'm offered the option to drive an hour to Wilmington to pick up the package, which wasn't really an option since I was heading south after work, so I would have a nearly three hour drive for my troubles. Monday they "reattempted" delivery, which in reviewing the security footage in front of my building, no one came to the door when they claimed to, and obviously there was no door tag left this time. That was three days ago, and there has not been any update on the delivery (or lack thereof). Sucks to be the company that is now losing a $1000+ sale because FedEx can't get their heads out of their asses, but it's worth not having to deal with this location hopefully ever again. At least when the South Boston location does the same thing, it's not a huge road trip just to get the package. read more

I live in a condo that looks like town homes and our FedEx home delivery driver does not deliver packages to peoples door steps. He leaves them where our locked mailboxes are which is not for any other delivery service or has left them at the top of the complex driveway where our fire enunciator panel is. Clearly FedEx does not care about peoples packages or if they get stolen since they are not delivered. When I have asked him to deliver to peoples doors he has gotten very confrontational and aggressive to the point where I have felt he would hit me and has done the same to the property Managment company person. I have called FedEx 3 times to complain about this driver and nothing has been done. Today he got aggressive and confrontational with a 70 year old resident when she asked him to do his job and deliver to peoples doors. UPS, Amazon, FedEx ground and express all deliver to peoples doors which is their job. I tracked a package from CA to MA and it showed rec'd in Wilmington but no package delivered to my home 15 miles away. Called several times and always "in transit". No way to speak to a human. Finally 2 days later email message said "incorrect address". Drove to the Wilmington center to the address on their site and was told it was not the correct address, had to drove another 10 miles to ground delivery. There again no human. Had to grab a phone handset, put it to my ear and near my mouth to give them the tracking nbr! So dangerous in Covid-19 times! no disinfectant, nothing. After 20 minutes wait I got my package. It had the correct address. My street has a street sign and my house number is on the mailbox. No sorry from rep. at Fedx just "I'll let the contractor know". Really disappointed. I left work early to meet a delivery requiring a signature, and despite being home 15 mins before my delivery window, I received a missed package door tag and the driver claimed to have arrived during the window. I'll never use FedEx again, and I'll spread the word to everyone I know. I've been waiting a shipment that suppose to arrive 5 days ago. then I start seeing from the tracking number the shipment is ready for delivery, then the status changed at the evening at that day to "Customer not available or business closed"!!! while I was at home with my wife all day long and no-one ringed the door, I've called the customer service and they have told me someone will call me from that shipping center, no one called!!! I've said I'll wait to the next day, same thing happened "system showing the delivery guy came in and no one at home" I called again and I put a complain since this shipment is really important to my business and I asked the issue to be escalated, again they have done nothing. today same thing happened. I've called many times the customer service, escalating to supervisors nothing I was told except lies, they were promising someone will call me back from that shipping center but that never happened. I think the customer service call center out side of the US and they have no clue what customer service means. Every time I get something from FedEx I've an issue, but after calling the customer service (inside the US)they were able to connect me to that shipping center manager and the problem solved. Twice in the last week we've been notified that a package requiring a signature was going to be delivered to our address. We were actually home to receive each package. The first time the driver delivered the package to our neighbors across the street. Since they were on vacation, we concluded that they didn't sign for the package, and that they signature which the driver "received" was actually fabricated by him. Fortunately, men working in our yard told my husband that someone had delivered a package across the street, so my husband retrieved it. Yesterday, we were supposed to receive another package, but when it hadn't arrived by 7:00PM, I checked online. only to see the driver's note that no one was home to sign for the package. We were in fact here in our family room with open windows which face onto our driveway. In addition, we have a very noisy dog who lets us know when anyone dares to drive down her driveway. No truck---no barking---no package. Today I called customer service and was told that they can only say that the package will be delivered between 12:00PM and 6:00PM. I guess it's a good thing that we have nothing better to do than to sit around waiting for FedEx packages which might or might not arrive. Maddening!!!!! read more

Specifically scheduled a Saturday delivery (because I needed to be present to sign) and was home all day on Saturday waiting for the package to arrive. I live in a condo building with a buzzer, but the driver did not try my buzzer nor did they try giving me a call. I went up to check at 4pm and nothing, then went back up at 4:45pm and there was a door tag stuck to our front door indicating they had come and gone, again I was not buzzed and not called and there is no chance I missed it since I was specifically waiting for this package. I then tried rerouting the delivery to my office for the following week, since I would not be home to sign during the weekdays. Instead they tried delivering to my home address, leaving door tags. On those door tags they did not check any of the boxes (i.e. "Another attempt will be made" or "This was the final attempt") and I had to call to confirm it was being held at location. Turns out that while there are 10 locations within a quarter-mile radius of my apartment in Boston, they decided to hold it in Wilmington, 20 miles away. I have to now take 60+ minutes out of my workday to drive out there and back since the delivery was a gift that could not wait until the following weekend. Based on other reviews, it seems the drivers don't put in any effort and the customer's convenience is not a consideration. Frustrating because they pretty much have a chokehold on the delivery business and can get away with really suboptimal customer service. read more

One package got delivered 24 hours late, in spite of paying for overnight (it sat in facility for 24hrs) and FedEx refused to refund fee, or only 1/2 delivery made, while checking off all as delivered. I found out FedEx out of Wilmington had delivered my 85 lb package by looking at tracking. The driver never rang the doorbell and left the package sitting in the rain outside the house. Didn't even bother to carry it up three steps into the breezeway where it wouldn't get wet (which is also where the door is). I called FedEx and they did get the driver to return 45 minutes later to carry the package up the three steps so I could at least get it into the house. No apology from the driver; in fact he seemed kind of contemptuous that I couldn't carry this package upstairs on my own. read more
