They "attempted" to deliver to the wrong door, and when taking the picture of the notice, they conveniently lowered the camera about 2 inches to hide the apartment number printed in big letters on the door, which proves they went to the wrong address, if this is how they do business, that's absolutely unprofessional. I have had the same problem with this location as others. They claim to have attempted to deliver, they did not. And it is impossible to call their local office. Honestly never really an issue with this particular Fedex distribution center over the last 20 or so years of interacting with them in-person. 20 years ago I went here to pick up several boxes of electronic comms gear I routinely rent for supporting events at the CT Convention Center because they were delayed at delivering to the convention center. A few days later I went back to this facility to ship all the gear back to Boston; they all got there on time and in good condition just fine. Now coincidentally, every time I order a phone and it's shipped Fedex, the driver can't find my address. This happens regularly for drivers who are unfamiliar with the layout of the complex (I've had plenty of Amazon Prime drivers call me looking for my door while circling the complex), so I'm only going to deduct 1 star for that. The first time this happened with a phone I was able to successfully have them ship it next day to the Walgreens near my apartment. Recently, I just paid for overnight shipping for a phone since I needed it before a certain date and the driver couldn't find my address and they wouldn't let me cross ship it to Walgreens for pickup again for some reason. Now, I had a credit card shipped overnight not too long ago and they found my apartment just fine, so next-day delivery drivers are probably all from the same pool. Anyway, I called the Fedex 1-800 number the next morning, which happened to be a Saturday; the call center guy agrees with the tracking website that the package has been returned back to 100 Old Country (for Fedex destinations in the greater Hartford area, pretty much every package originating from out of state ends up at 100 Old Country at some point), so I drive up and it was actually there. read more

No knock no intercom had basically been waiting from 10am -2 pm. Not even on the security cameras bunch of annoying shady practices at FedEx. I believe that FedEx driver is stealing packages. I waited all day for my proposed delivery from Chewy's. In the past the driver has left on the road next to mailbox, out of sight of the house, so I wanted to make sure I got my package. My computer binged, Delivered. I immediately went out and looked on porch, in yard, up the driveway, on the road, near the mailbox- no package. When I complained to Chewy, they researched and driver stated delivered to garage! Wonderful, we dont have a garage. I believe that driver is stealing the package and either reselling or dumping so they dont have to deliver the packages that they are paid for delivering. Terrible customer service. The man at the front desk is always super rude. Also what is the point of making people stand outside in the sun? Apparently it's not ok to stand in the lobby alone in between the doors while waiting to be let in... you must overheat in the sun while the super slow service happens inside. step it up fedex.. hire people with good customer service skills who at least greet people instead of yelling something at you when you arrive. My experience at the shopping location came about because I missed my FedEx guy by 20 minutes and desperately needed something for work. Of course the driver won't come back even though he's not far away, and I had to make a trip after 5 when the package would be back at the center. There were 8 people there in front of me and 2 employees. The process took about 40 minutes, but it would have taken half the time if the customers in front of me were more organized or followed the directions the employees gave them. The people working there were doing their best, and let's face it, most of us were frustrated with their delivery driver before walking in the door. My advice is go earlier in the day if you can, going within an hour of them closing is not the best idea! read more

I put in a hold so that I can pick up my package, one day prior to my delivery. No where was it stated that that request can take 24 hours. Is the rest of my package being delivered, at the holding station or does someone else have it? What's the turnaround time for a status update? I have not been provided with any numerical turnaround time update or status updates of my 15 lb delivery when I receive what equates to an envelope. This has been through customer service and through facebook messanger. They said they would send me a private message and guess what? Still waiting on that too. Their delivery drivers cannot manage to find a business address in a well-trafficked location. Apparently, they dropped off perishables at some other location and called it good. I contacted FedEx and they informed me that I should wait 2 business days to see what happens. Again, perishable items. On a Friday. I had to pick up a letter from this location. Had to wait a few minutes before someone actually came out of the back to give me service. The only thing I did not like was that the clerk wasn't just chatty. She was down right nosey. I was glad that I found a different subject to get her off of what the letter was about. Papers being sent to me are none of your business. It isn't like I was getting a box full of wine or something. Other than that, the location was clean, safe and off the beaten track. It beat going into the city, struggle to get a parking spot and then have to pay for that parking just to pick up a bunch of papers to sign and then have to send back. read more

Most frustrating customer service experience I've had in a long time. A package was supposed to be delivered to my house today in the morning. For some reason, the driver decided not to drop it off which I understand, human error. The package was to be dropped off because it didn't need a signature, he thought it did. No big deal. I call the facility asking for a re-attempt and they assure me that it will get done. I ask for any updates and notifications to be sent to me and I get nothing. By 3 pm I call again and get assured that the package will arrive by 5 pm at the latest. It is now 7 pm and I just called and they told me to wait until 8 pm to hear back from them. What?? Never have I been so frustrated with a shipping center. I even told that I don't mind picking it up if they give me a reasonable time to plan ahead. But i NEED the package today. Wow. Where's the closest UPS? Update: I was just told I need to come pick up my package after having 3-4 reps tell me that this would definitely be delivered today. Never going to use this branch again. I recently had a very expensive package ($600) delivered to the wrong address even though the correct address was clearly marked as it should be on the package. Some bonehead delivered it 2 blocks away to a street and address that is not in any way similar to my address. I got an email that it had been delivered but there had been no truck coming down my street because I was working on my front lawn for several hours before the delivery notice. When I called FedEx they apparently had trouble reaching the driver and I was told I would get a call back later that night. Fortunately after about an hour of frantic thoughts on my part a very honest person from 2 blocks over showed up carrying my precious box. From now on if I have to use FedEx I will require a signature on everything. read more

Set up an account, print your labels at home and drop off, you'll be fine. If you cannot due to corporate discounts or any other reason, be prepared to wait. Have your addresses and phone #s written out on a separate piece of paper (no more forms, the rep enters all the information On their screen one by one as everyone lines up) and during the busiest times or holidays, there is one rep at the desks; seemingly no one to call for back-up assistance as the line grows. This location used to man appropriately and was on the ball; its gone downhill, lacks staffing and their automated process is cumbersome and time-intensive. Use an alternate FedEx store drop off if at all possible. read more

This has nothing to do with the FedEx office. It has to do with their incompetent customer service. This is the first time I use fedex for anything. My packages were due to be dropped off tomorrow on the 6th. I called customer service to see if I could pick up my package today (11/5/18) since it was at the office a couple towns over from where I live and she said yes, told me she was going to place a hold on my packages and asked when I could pick them up and I said I could be there in about a half hour. So I take the half hour drive to the office I give the guy my tracking numbers and he says they wouldn't be ready till tomorrow. So I'll be able to pick up my packages in the morning but the incompetent customer service lady cost me the time and gas I wasted just to be told I couldn't pick them up today. LESSON LEARNED: DON'T BELIEVE WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE SAYS!! read more

They are the worst! If there was a no star rating I would definitely give it to this FedEx location. I am not surprised by the other poor reviews either. This is the worst experience I have ever had with shipping a package to a customer. Delivery was scheduled for priority overnight, but was never delivered to my customer. No reason was given as to why this happened. Called and said it would be delivered the next morning. This did not happen. After spending almost an hour on the phone with this facility and FedEx customer service, it is clear that this facility lacks proper training and customer service. Their employees are inexperienced and simply do not care. Jennifer, the supervisor, was very rude and interrupted me numerous times. She had an attitude and was not willing to help at all. I confirmed with the FedEx Customer Representative corporate division that I was flat out lied to and this facility did not handle this situation correctly at all. This facility needs new management and training! Not only am I very frustrated, but my customer is upset and this facility made it very obvious that they couldn't care less.
