It's honestly unacceptable for a shelter that claims to want to help animals find homes. When I finally managed to speak to someone, the woman I talked to was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. Rather than offering any help or understanding, she made me feel like I was wasting her time. I mentioned that their website and google search clearly says they're open on Saturdays by appointment, and she flat-out told me that Saturdays are not an option -- with zero explanation and an attitude that was shockingly rude for someone representing an animal shelter. Their limited hours -- only a few hours Monday through Friday -- make it almost impossible for anyone with a job to adopt. Add the lack of communication, slow response time, and unprofessional behavior, and it's no wonder so many animals are still waiting for homes. It's heartbreaking, because the animals here deserve so much better than this kind of disorganization and attitude. If the staff can't manage basic courtesy or responsiveness, how are they supposed to help the animals in their care find loving families? I truly hope they take this feedback seriously and make real improvements, because right now, it feels like they're standing in the way of adoptions, not helping them happen.

Needless to say I'm very aware when Veterinarians get judgy. When I walked into the office yesterday I was shocked and surprised. Have you ever been to a Vet that didn't judge you!? That's where I was yesterday. No breed judgement, no food judgement, no lack of care judgement. Just love for my pet and a gentle reminder that Ticks are bad out where we've moved to. At the office I found out I hadn't taken my dogs to the Vet in over two years. While some places would call you neglectful and possibly berate you Dr. Howell did not. He was able to take a look at a hot spot and additionally testing that I agreed to after his assessment of my dog's health and chart. The visit took longer due to additional testing and waiting for results. But left with new information on my dog's health and medication/treatment that will be needed. Check out was fairly easy as well & quick. Overall time from arrival to leaving the office was estimating 2 hours or less. There was only a couple of pets in front of me so my wait time wasn't too long. Sometimes the parking lot is full and wait times my vary.

I had never been to this vet office but again was just trying to get my six week old baby boy kitten Butters after finding him with labored breathing and lethargic this morning. I live on a farm and this babys momma is from a cat colony I look after and so I knew they likely had URI (cat herpes /flu) because they'd had eye infections, but he was eating and doing okay last night. But not this morning. Anyways, I got there and within 5 minutes was in a room with the Doctor, Dr. Taylor, and he was the most compassionate, kind and professional veterinary Doctor I've ever met! He said the most comforting heart warming things to me and helped my sweet baby boy without judgment on me. He prescribed antibiotics and they gave them to me on site. They also me a bottle/ nursing kit and 3 bags of Hills Science Diet kitten food for free!! The reception staff, one of which was the Doctors wife were wonderful and helpful!! I figured the cost would be extensive because of the emergency type of visit, but no, it was not!! It was very reasonable, even low in my opinion! I will be making appointments for my other kittens in the future and I look forward to my kitties and I establishing a relationship with these wonderful kind people!

This was…read morethe FIRST time I ever brought my cat here to be groomed, and when I brought her home, I discovered that she had fleas. My cat has never had fleas before, and she was only brought here to be cleaned and groomed. She is well cared for and up to date on her vaccinations. Now I have to spend $100 on medication to treat fleas that she did not have before going to this business. I trusted them to take care of my cat, and instead, I was left dealing with an unexpected expense and the stress of treating her for fleas. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and feel that other pet owners should be aware of what happened before deciding to bring their pets here. I expected my cat to come home clean--not with fleas. I would not recommend this business based on my experience.
