They are so in tune with human emotions, playful, and loving. All three of them have been around babies and toddlers and could not be more gentle. The joy they bring to our home is indescribable. Our most recent pup was a part of the inmate training program. It's so lovely to think that she was able to bring joy to others before she came home to us. All three were adopted when they were around 6-8 mo old. We have several older dogs (10-14 years old) as well- all of whom have medical conditions that require extra care. We were hesitant at first to bring young dogs around our older pack. There was absolutely no issue. The little ones have encouraged their elders to play and run around with them but are also very respectful of their space and need for rest. Liz is such a wonderful lady and even more wonderful with the dogs. She sat us down and told us all about the stack of papers she gives at each adoption. She encouraged us to always reach out if we saw any behavioral issues so she could work with us. We knew that the line of communication was always open so any problems could be fixed. Fortunately, we have not had any thus far! All dogs are in perfect health. I believe we paid $650-$700 for each dog. This included microchip/vaccines/neutering/initial behavioral training. Based on the good work this place does- and on the prices of other rescues that offer doodle mixes- this is an incredibly fair price. Based on the quality of dog we have received from Liz 3x now, I really do believe it is her treatment of them in the beginning of their lives that have shaped them into such amazing and intuitive animals. Seeing negative reviews on here absolutely breaks my heart. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but mine could not be more positive of Pawsibilities Unleashed. Please read this entire lengthy post and share this story! Pepper and her 2 siblings were left in the care of The Dog Spot LLC in Mt. Washington. I believe they were in her care for 4 days when Pepper went missing at 4pm on August 9th. I spoke with Carol at 530, I was frantic. She immediately became defensive. She said she only left the dogs unattended in the back yard for 3 minutes while she started dinner. When she returned Pepper was gone and she assumed she jumped the fence because of nearby gunfire. She questioned what else i wanted her to do. I asked her to notify authorities, post on social media and hang flyers. I asked her to put some food and water outside the fence in case Pepper returned. This is when she said the dog wouldn't come back there. I was a bit puzzled why she didn't think Pepper would return but i was so frazzled i brushed it off. I hung up with her to start posting on social media. Tara's group and my son searched for hours until dark. When I arrived at The Dog Spot LLC Saturday morning there were 3 dogs playing in the backyard but no one around. I walked around the outside of the house looking, rang all doorbells,no answer. I called the number and Kayleigh, an employee, answered. She allowed me to check on the other two dogs. Kayleigh said Carol ran to the store. Kayleigh and another employee were looking around the property all morning. Kayleigh and i began searching the 9 acre property, following numerous trails and animal tracks. We circled about an acre or so and came up empty handed. We began discussing needing a drone or a professional tracker since we were dealing with over 150 acres of farms and woods surrounding the property. This is the first time i saw Carol! And we had to ask for her to come out to the yard! I decided to go into the backyard and look for any holes in the fence. Thinking maybe i could get an idea of which way Pepper went since noone actually saw her jump the fence. I found Pepper stuck in a layer of briar bushes and thorns. Rescuers began cutting down the bushes. Pepper was very scared, it took a couple hours, 4 cans of vienna sausages, and her sister to coax her out. I did notice that every time we almost got her out she would look for Carol and hide when she saw her. She wasn't hurt, just a few thorns. I'm pretty sure the rescuers suffered more cuts and bruises. Another special thank you to all of them. I truly believe Pepper was stuck in those thorns and bushes the entire time. I am beyond upset that the perimeter wasn't searched better and with more people. But there is so much that upsets me about this situation. 1. The Dog Spot LLC website says they will treat them as their own. So if Carols dog were missing she would send out 2 young women to search and hope for the best? Not to mention they didn't think to look in the dense briar bushes in the backyard! 2. I found a copy of their contract on their website. See photo. It actually says they are not responsible if your dog escapes. Now im sure theres a law somewhere that says the dogs have to be supervised but come on they aren't even going to take responsibility i ask again is this treating the dog like your own? 3. If you remember, when i arrived there were dogs in the yard with noone within hearing distance. This infuriated me! They just lost Pepper and they are still leaving dogs unattended?? 4. Authorities, search teams, posters, social media....This wasn't done by The Dog Spot LLC. They did post to their business Facebook page around 6pm after me requesting. Thanks again to Tara and her team for getting flyers, alerting authorities and spreading the word. 5. When i walked through the kennel i saw at least 20 dogs. The 4 or so hours i was there i only saw 1 employee and Carol. 2 people for 20 mostly big dogs, seems like they would have a few more people on hand. 6. I have yet to even hear a remote apology. I will never recommend or allow anyone i know to use the dog llc. I hope that they set up better protocols for the safety and searching efforts for the dogs they care for.

This is one of very few places, that I could find, who will work with the certain quirks of a husky, especially my stubborn, but sweet husky. Our appointments have always been kept as they were booked and completed in the appropriate time frame for 2 dogs to be groomed. The owner is very sweet and caring! She really puts a lot of attention to detail in the work that she does and you can tell she loves all animals! In my experience she has been very responsive and prompt to texts and other means of communication. I love being able to support small businesses in my local community and this is one of my favorites!

No one explained to me what that meant; no one told me that my kitten had a serious, contagious illness that would affect him for the rest of his life. I am not a veterinarian. I am just someone who wants to love a cat. If someone had taken a moment to explain what "FeLV+" meant, to clarify that it was feline leukemia, that it could shorten his life, and that it could endanger my other cat, I would have been able to make a fully informed decision about how to protect him and my home. Instead, I found out what it meant only after falling in love with him. After I had already brought him home. After I watched him get sick, I was terrified, not knowing what was happening or how to help him at first. I don't regret adopting him -- not for a second. He is part of my family now, and he is deeply loved. However, the way his condition was communicated caused an enormous amount of unnecessary heartbreak and fear that could have been avoided with a simple, honest conversation. Please prioritize speaking clearly about health conditions like FeLV for the sake of future cats and adopters. A simple explanation could spare someone else from confusion, guilt, or loss and give cats like mine the extra protection and understanding they deserve from the start. This is the first review I've ever left, and I feel wrong going lower because Ducky is still alive, and my older cat is vaccinated. The online registration process was simple, the staff is friendly and assistive, and all the cats were well tended to. Nicole acclimated to my home right away with no signs of fear or having been neglected any time prior to her adoption. She had all of her shots up to date, was neutered, and was litter box trained. Today she is triple in size and weight, climbs stairs in a single bound, and loves to purr loud.

I reached out to the Nelson County…read moreAnimal Shelter through every possible method -- Facebook, their website form, email, and phone -- and after three days, no one had even bothered to review my application or follow up. It's honestly unacceptable for a shelter that claims to want to help animals find homes. When I finally managed to speak to someone, the woman I talked to was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. Rather than offering any help or understanding, she made me feel like I was wasting her time. I mentioned that their website and google search clearly says they're open on Saturdays by appointment, and she flat-out told me that Saturdays are not an option -- with zero explanation and an attitude that was shockingly rude for someone representing an animal shelter. Their limited hours -- only a few hours Monday through Friday -- make it almost impossible for anyone with a job to adopt. Add the lack of communication, slow response time, and unprofessional behavior, and it's no wonder so many animals are still waiting for homes. It's heartbreaking, because the animals here deserve so much better than this kind of disorganization and attitude. If the staff can't manage basic courtesy or responsiveness, how are they supposed to help the animals in their care find loving families? I truly hope they take this feedback seriously and make real improvements, because right now, it feels like they're standing in the way of adoptions, not helping them happen.

The only reason I would not give 5 stars is that with they recently changed their hours so they are now open 11-4 M-F and 10-3 Saturday. This has made it more difficult to bring school aged kids here during the week, whereas we used to be able to make it after-school. Overall, very positive experiences here! Love bringing my toddler to see the animals!

I have been a client of Dr. Taylor for over 15 years. He and his staff have treated all of our dogs, which range from Jack Russells to Rotts. Right now we have a total of 6 dogs. No matter where we have lived, Sonora, Hodgenville, Louisville, or Bardstown, BAC is the ONLY vet I have ever considered to treat my animals. When we first started going to him, he kept our Rott from going blind because another vet had prescribed ointment when it was her eyelashes sticking in her eyes. He has found OTC remedies that were appropriate to treat the allergies that many suffer from, and has always gone to great lengths to explain what was going on, the treatment, and any other questions I might have. He loves his patients so much, and if you were ever to see him when he receives notice that one has passed you would see why I always tell all my friends that this is the best place to go. 15 years of experience back it up. read more

I have used Dr. Taylor for years. They have always gone above and beyond to treat my pets respectfully and make sure they get the care they need while working within my budget. I have been to several other vets in the area and never found the compassion or care I receive at BAC. Even though I've recently moved to Mt. Washington I still travel to Bardstown for all my veterinarian needs. I would highly recommend them! read more

Dr. Bridges has brought on a Young GIRL with no bed side manner and condescending attitude, Dr. Julie Roark. My wife and I brought our animals in, first and last time. She is prissy and cut us down over the health of our 16 year old dog, instead of helping us to treat him with grace and respect. How can someone so young have such a sueriority complax. The staff at Elk Creek is very personable and compassionate. This isn't just a job for any of them, it's a passion. From the person who takes calls and makes appointments to the doctors to the techs, every person we've dealt with has been understanding and caring. The exam rooms are spacious, comfortable, and quiet, so that your visit is kept private. The Doctors are the best we've ever been to. They listen to you and give you sound advice that's in the best interest of the (insert pet here). We find the prices for services and medication very reasonable, and making an appointment has never been a problem. As sad as it is, we've brought two of our dogs here to say goodbye to them. It's a terrible thing to do and it's incredibly difficult, but the staff understands that. They give you as much time as you need and make sure your pet is comfortable. As heartbreaking as it is, Elk Creek does it with care and dignity. Yes, it's about a 30 minute drive, but it's worth it for the care and the compassion the staff at Elk Creek has for your pet.
