I can't believe there aren't more recent 5 star reviews for the Feedlot! It's been a while since I've been there but everytime I've been there, everything is excellent! I'm not a fan of onions or soup but their French Onion soup is the top 3 soups I've ever eaten! The deep fried shrimp is as big as my fist & cooked to perfection! The waiter is so nice & on top of it. One of my favorite places to go to dinner. read more

Other than the french onion soup the food sucked do not eat here unless you want to be disappointed

We have been here several times because they serve excellent steaks and always cooked to order, but, until tonight, the service has always been super slow even when the restaurant wasn't busy! However, the gentleman that waited on us tonight change that! He did a great job, very attentive, food was excellent, although the broccoli was cold, but steaks and shrimp were perfect and cooked exactly to order, and tender! Def worth the drive read more

OMG this was perfection! Found online while planning vacation. Had no idea it was hidden so far way but it only adds to its charm. Restaurant is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. The staff was pleasant and engaging as well. If in the Billings area I highly recommend going down the beaten path to this hidden treasure. read more

My Dad has Parkinson's Disease so has difficulty eating out at restaurants. He was a strong man his entire life and only recently had to give up the simplest task of cutting his own food. My mom requested to have Dad's steak cut into bites sizes. The young waiter at the Feedlot refused. He said, "our cooks won't do that here." Shame on you Feedlot employees! I hope you develop compassion and I hope the owners provide appropriate training! read more

Great steak at a reasonable price. A little off the beaten path, but if you're in Montana, chances are that won't bother you much.

Went there for lunch and was surprised to learn they don't have baked potatoes at a steakhouse. I ordered a steak sandwich, sides were either tater tots or fries. They came right of the freezer, disgusting. The steak was supposed to be cooked medium but it was so tough I couldn't cut through it. The steak had a weird color to it. The waiter was very nice but the food was disgusting! read more

It only gets 1 star because the waitress was good. Salads were wilted and from a bag, steak was cold and raw, place was filthy. Dead flies were on the seat, stains and food was all over the booth chairs..... Asked for a draft beer and was told they were "pretty warm" so I ordered a bottle that was warm. I'm from Miami, FL... I traveled to Montana on business and discovered this beautiful little gem through a restaurant.com recommendation. Oh my goodness!! Am I glad I drove the 33 minutes to this restaurant. First of all... The place is beautiful. Hardwood floors, beautiful wood bar... It's a converted ranch house. Outside you have this amazing view if the countryside. The air smells amazing in this part of the world. And once you go inside and actually start eating...you'll be in heaven! Fresh food, everything is homemade. From the salad dressing to the French onion soup... I had a T-Bone steak that was so delicious, I actually finished my entire plate. Which is always a hard thing for me to do. I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. Tina, our waitress, was a total sweetheart. The bartender was incredibly nice too. I absolutely loved this place!! Now I'm taking a slice of turtle cheesecake home because I can't push anymore food in. Life is good!! read more
