This place was recommended to me by my Mother who is the most adamant believer in GPs and antibiotics, so if it worked for her then it must be good. It took me a couple of weeks to see Emily Teo but she was worth the wait. Interestingly she is also a GP so she has a foot in both western and eastern medical camps, which makes her an interesting person to talk to. She took the time to listen to me and make a well thought out diagnosis. She was honest about not performing a miracle but said she thought she could help. The kind of acupuncture she does is very gentle so pins being stuck into your head doesn't hurt. Miracle or no miracle I believe I got better during the 6 week period I saw Emily. Acupuncture isn't for everybody, but if you are thinking of giving it a try Emily is the person to see.

So unless you know what you want it's likely you'll need to employ the help of the sales assistant. I didn't know what I wanted but when the Chinese woman behind the counter suggested that I could do with some of this tea to cool my liver and this tea to calm my nerves I realized it was no coincidence that I'd wandered in there. I had an aching shoulder (nervous tension) and had a boozy night a few days before (liver over worked). She could tell by looking at the colourings in my eyes and facial skin. It didn't surprise me as I've noticed many in the alternative therapy industries do this but it did make me how intense the pain was. She recommended three different teas, all single herbs or flowers and all in large unbranded packets. Other than herbal medicine they also have certified on site acupuncturists, reflexology and massage therapists. These therapies are carried out in therapy rooms at the back of the store for privacy. Now, let's hope the tea helps but something still tells me prevention is the best cure!

I have been under Jenny's care for more than two decades, she is the best acupuncture practitioner and Traditional Chinese Doctor I have ever known.Whether it has to do with chronic illness (digestive disorder, menstrual imbalance, rehabilitation after injury, skin problem, migraine, insomnia...etc.), acute conditions (infections, allergic reaction, cold & flu, stomach upset...etc.), or mood disturbance, Jenny's magical needles and herbs along with her extremely caring and kind spirit, have helped me recover from countless illnesses and enhanced my wellness state immensely. I wish more people could experience her magical healing. As a needle-sensitive person myself, I can't believe how pain-free and relaxing her acupuncture is with her gentleness and preciseness. Her clinic has been in Neutral Bay for almost two decades if I remember correctly after she quit her hospital position in Beijing, China and came to Sydney, so in total she has been practicing Chinese Medicine (Zhong Yi) for 30 years already. (Don't let her appearance fool you lol.) I have brought all my friends and family over the years to see her and they all feel as blessed as I am to have met her. The only complaint I have is that her clinic was quite tricky to find when I (and later my friends) went the first time, took me a while to find the "Shop 9 8 Waters Road". It is really hidden at the corner of Waters Road and Gros Venor Lane...anyways it's better if you can call her and let her guide you to her directly in my experience.
