They make a mess on any street they touch and cause unnecessary traffic. They start work before their permits and leave trash on the side of the road. I am not sure why my city hired the worst contractors in the state. They will also block driveways without even caring. I live on a busy street and they blocked me & my elderly neighbors in. I told them that my neighbors are elderly & they just ignored me. It's asking what could they improve on? They can improve by going out of business. read more

This company is so incompetent it's remarkable....and that goes for Eversource, too. They have been digging up streets in Methuen since late winter/early spring and are still working in the same areas....digging holes, filling them in, digging more holes....they take plenty of breaks and enjoy chatting with the police who are earning time and a half. What's scary is that gas lines are involved and they are a safety issue. I smell pork! Lots of it! read more

These criminals opened their Worcester yard sandwiched right in a residential neighborhood to save a few bucks. How the city of Worcester let them get away with that is a mystery. They destroyed what was once a nice piece of land. Their machines beep all day long, piercing through the walls of our old house like an alarm clock that you can never turn off. It's driving the residents insane. Like a warped form of audio torture. They start at 7:30 AM, even on Saturdays and they don't care of you had a late night on Friday. They are sometimes working at 10PM. Generally destroying our neighborhood. I wish they never moved in here. They are the worst and are driving me out of my own home. read more

Feeney Brothers has been working outside my house starting at 7 am on weekdays for two months now. At one point, they had my car towed from in front of my house, right where I have parked it for 24 years, while I was inside. They never bothered to ring the doorbell and ask me to move it, which I would have gladly done. When I later discovered it missing and called the police to report it stolen, I found out that Feeney Brothers had had it towed and claimed they had contacted me, which was false. (Due to the pandemic, my husband and I both work at home and are always available.) Since then I have talked with some of their workers and found them to be reasonably polite, but I can't forgive Feeney Brothers for having my car towed from in front of my own house without even asking me to move it (as well as for the cost for retrieving it and bringing it back home). read more

Most of the people who bitch in these reviews have not a clue as to what they are talking about. The reason holes are dug up two to three times is because the new main is run first. Then when it goes on line the old services to buildings have to be run which means another excavation. And so on. Otherwise they would have to shut off the service to your home for two months to complete the job all at once. And as far as cars getting towed...learn to read people. Whatever work will take is posted with huge orange pylons posted with CITY ISSUED no parking/tow zone placards. And as far as noise goes...you live in the city...not Appalachia so I guess you pay that price.. people who say they left your service off need to understand that Feeney can't by law hook up the service inside a home or business. That is on eversource's list. We can only supply the pipe to it's termination point. Nothing more. So your gripes are with eversource and the city. Not Feeney. I work as a sub contract driver for them so I really don't have a dog in the fight here but fair is fair.. you want modern convenience them understand it takes a monumental amount of work in all kinds of heat, cold snow and rain so you can be comfortable. read more

UPD: They left forgetting to connect our gas pipes, leaving our two family house, with 4 young kids, without gas, heat, or hot water. We have been calling customer service and promised by a semi-drunk person (it took three calls to get the address right) that someone would come ASAP and fix it. 4 hours later, at 10pm, no one came. They have been changing gas pipes on our street, milking the same job that they somehow got contracted by the city, for close to five months now - digging and undigging the same holes around our house, over and over again - a job that was supposed to take a month at the most. They are starting earlier than allowed by regulations, blocking both ends of the same small street, and sit in idling trucks for hours, making noise but getting no work done. They take long breaks, so the progress is minimal. Beware. read more

Workers caused over $1000 damage to my car. I tried to work with them with patience and respect to explain what happened. I provided photographs, a timeline, everything. For months they said they were "investigating" the problem. The most recent time I contacted them, they had closed the complaint without giving me notice or a reason. Glad their employees seem to enjoy posting that they love working here, but they couldn't care less about the damage to others. read more

Feeney Bros have been working outside of our house for months on a gas line in Weymouth. Can't help the noise level because it's the nature of the work they are doing. But they clean up after themselves every single day. Today after 3 inches of snow they shoveled our driveway and walk way and Mr. Feeney rang our bell to give us a Visa gift card to make up for the disruption the past several weeks. Thank you Feeney Brothers. It's nice to know that there are companies out there that care and recognize that while you don't have to go the extra mile because it's a contracted job; you go the extra mile anyway. read more

Feeney Brothers started working in a suburb of Boston. Gary, one of the employees tore up the traffic island garden and dumped the landscape materials in a pile. I confronted him that I had adopted the island and these garden materials were mine. He removed the materials from site not allowing me to save them. He then told me he dumped them at a landscapers place in Waltham. He has refused to tell me where this landscaper is but mentioned that he expects they were already 'sold' to someone and cannot be retrieved. So he steals the plants and shrubs from a volunteer to do what? And refuses to divulge where he dumped these materials? I see that they have a history of "1 star" terrible reviews. As of today, National Grid returned on a Sunday to fix the gas leak caused by Fenney Brothers. They are under federal investigation for the destruction of 50 homes, deaths, etc. Why are they still in business? read more

Feeney Brothers was hired by Eversource for purposes of replacing pipes, and they ruined my lawn. As part of the excavation, they striped a huge chunk of grass leaving a mountain of dirt on my lawn. No indication of who will be responsible for the damage. read more

Very unprofessional. They are a full year behind on a gas utility project that was supposed to be completed in 1 month. They do not abide by the quiet hours and will always start with excessive noise before 8am and continue on well after 7pm. I have seen many of their employees smoking cigarettes while working with heavy machinery including asphalt saws, jack hammers, and front loaders (and this is while working on gas lines...). They have also hit a main water pipe 2 times during this project and have required Boston Water & Sewage to come out and make repairs. Shabby work with very poor attention to detail. Maybe if they put the cigarettes down for two seconds and focused on their jobs they'd stop making careless mistakes and this project would be done by now. I swear I have seen them jack hammer and repave the same spot 3 times. Terribly inefficient crew working for what seems to be an apathetic company. read more

One of your drivers is an absolutely terrible representation of your company! I live in a very quiet residential neighborhood in Malden on Seaview ave. At approx 5:15 PM on Wed, Jan 10th 2018, A UPS driver was trying his hardest, struggling to park his delivery van as close to the edge of the road as possible but with the snowbanks after the recent winter storm it was near impossible. A Feeney Brothers truck came down the street not 30 seconds later and started laying on his horn holding it down for what seemed like an eternity. He then rolled his window down and started screaming profanity at the top of his lungs to the UPS driver. The UPS driver apologized over and over said he was trying his hardest to move over, but the Feeney Brothers driver didnt care. Eventually he got out of his truck and approached the UPS driver continuing to scream at him, it appeared like he was going to assault the UPS driver. This went on for over 5 mins. Not something you want to have to deal with when you live in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. I hope I never see another Feeney Brothers Vehicle or one of their drivers in my neighborhood again. read more

This company was doing work for NIPSCO in Watertown at night in August 2015. They said they would limit the noise - but they were using jackhammers, yelling, and continually backing up a beeping trucks in the middle of the night- for many nights. The project lasted for 2 days longer than their estimate. Inconsiderate company! read more
