I really wanted to like this company, as my mother-in-law has used them in the past, and had nothing but good things to say about their services. My spouse and I scheduled a consultation and while the sales rep who came was moderately pushy, we ultimately decided to purchase six new windows. I had to reschedule once due to my spouse having Covid, additionally the instillation needed to be rescheduled again due to an inclement snowstorm, and the installers feeling unsafe (which I was fully supportive of, I did not want anyone getting hurt). The problem lies with communication. Our sales rep was supposed to be our "point of contact", however he has been extremely unhelpful, even going as far as reading and choosing to not reply to messages that were sent about the weather on the 2nd installation date; I tried to inform the sales rep it was unsafe for the installers to come due to a recent snow storm, and yet they showed up anyway - which was not their fault, they had not been informed. Additionally we have vaulted ceilings, which would typically not be a problem for instillation, if the proper pictures were taken and sent to the installers. Our sales rep did not take appropriate pictures, and did not send a proper description of the project to the installers, so they were unaware they needed a lift to access the windows. Currently the windows are being installed, and lo-andbehold the installers come without a lift saying they were unaware a lift was needed - which is not their fault, it should have been communicated to them... If you like good windows at a decent price, but don't mind poor communication, this is the company for you. *I will say the customer service over the phone has been great and the installers have been nothing but friendly - but I did have to shampoo the rugs after they left. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company!! We had our complete house installed with Feldco windows in 2018. The trim piece under our picture window is 8 feet long and it is just held there by chalk. It broke loose once and they came and recaulked it in place. Now it is falling off again, allowing water to get behind our siding. Called 2 months ago, then called 2 more times to get a call back. They finally called and said for $200 they would recaulk it in place. It is to long and heavy for caulk to hold it. When the wind is out of the south our curtains move. You can tell there is no insulation in there. The traffic noise is very loud compared to our old windows. Bottom line is Bad Company with cheap quality products and piss poor service!!!!! read more

I would give -1 star if I could. Feldco just installed my roof today. It was $20000. That is way more than anyone else charges for a roof on a small 4/12 pitch ranch. I expected an excellent job for that price and peace of mind but when I watched in horror as the installers hoisted moldy sheathing onto my roof, peace of mind was gone. I was working from home and had to stop and dash outside to tell them not to put moldy lumber up there. The site supervisor had the nerve to tell me that it was dirt. It was clear black mold spots covering five inches of the entire perimeter of the sheet. Dirt, you can brush off, mold you cannot. When I said I know what mold is and I'm not an idiot. The supervisor said they wouldn't use that sheet. When I said, that I watched them hoist the previous moldy sheet up there, he told the guy to hold it up (on the roof) so I could see. The guy deliberately turned it over to the other side. I told him to turn it back over and clear as day...mold. The supervisor told him to not use it and lower it back down and he said sorry. BUT they had already hoisted up other sheathing. They were most likely moldy, too. They made a display of moving the two sheets. However, they stop hoisting the sheathing in front of my window. So, I know what that means. They put the moldy boards up there anyway. How can I not assume that all of it is bad? Why say you're doing the right thing but move to where I can't see you? I called Feldco right then to complain. Supposedly, they're manager talked to them on the phone to make it right. Yeah, right. Dishonest people are dishonest. Next, I received a call from the sales person telling me they had to replace 2/3 of the existing roof decking because it was so badly rotted. Except, I didn't see them remove any rotted wood. He tells me that they had to replace 45 sheets! Oh...and that each sheet was $121! WTF?! Oh yeah and they didn't say anything to me about it first. Keep in mind, this is after I complained about the moldy materials. I asked for pictures before they did that. None showed rotted wood. In that message the sales guy said that he misspoke. I've attached a screenshot. There hadn't been a ton of rotted wood. Supposedly, they just wanted to do a better job. What dishonest people want to do a better job? (Plus when he quoted the job a month ago and when the manager came to measure the job weeks ago, they both said there was nothing they could do about making the roofing between the main house and the addition even out). So, I wasn't expecting anyone to try. Now, they want me to sign a document saying I am satisfied. No. I am not satisfied. I'm ticked off knowing that I am paying $20K for a roof with new mold. I am ticked that someone wants an additional $121 a sheet for moldy wood that I didn't ask for or want (and costs between $20-$50 a sheet) and that he clearly declared was elective. What a jip. Keep in mind, all of this extra wood information occurred after they'd already put it up and after I complained about moldy products. I complained around 10am this morning. I am told about this enormous extra cost much later, closer to 5pm. About the mold concerns, Feldco just wants me to forget about it. They say, they addressed it, though I saw nothing change other than them no longer hoisting it in my view. I had a rep come to my home to give an estimate for a new front door, garage door and opener. His first question was, you're doing this in November? No. Obviously there is a lead time (10 weeks) and I wanted to get a few estimates. His second question, why are you getting a new door? Um, because I want to?! He said he would email me the pdf of what he had so I could be in contact for changes before he even talked pricing. He never sent me any email. Guess he really doesn't want my business. The initial guy who set it up was friendly, but after that i got a message to set up the installation; I called back, left a message & didn't hear back!! I had to call the initial guy again twice before anyone called be back - weeks later - and when the guy finally came out to install the windows he was a half hour late, didn't bother to introduce himself or say where he was from, wasn't terribly pleasant - in person as well as on the phone - & they were going to charge me an extra $75 just to take shutters off (I had this done prior by someone else)!! Feldco replaced a client's windows, starting from approximately a year and a half ago, and the job is still not completed. The work is sub-par, and customer service has been terrible. The window frames have gaps, the pieces don't fit together and have different colors, and is, in general, shoddy work. The defects have caused water to leak in and damage the interior of the home and has caused mold and bugs to grow. I would certainly not recommend this company to anyone looking to replace windows or doors. read more

Had a rep come by to estimate the cost for new siding. This process was ridiculous. After about an hour I told the rep that we had no idea it was going to take so long. 15 minutes later the rep was still going strong on why we'd be foolish to not hire Feldco. At the 90 minute mark, flat out told him that he has to wrap this up NOW. Fell upon deaf ears. Then I said you have to leave now because we need to be somewhere. So, after 1 hour and 45 minutes we were finally free of this rep. We were very pleased with both the sales and installation experience with Feldco. My husband and I received quotes from other companies and found that after going back and forth between several companies, Feldco worked with us from day 1 to provide their best price and keep costs down. Install day was very easy, the men who arrived were very polite, considerate and professional and when we called to have some repairs made after the first winter (all under warranty and due to no fault of the company) we received a call back to arrange the date and time. wful doesn't even come close to our experience with Feldco. We had someone come and give a quote in September and promised great service. Measurements were taken a week later and window installation was scheduled for Dec 2nd. We notified the morning of that hey had to cancel because of a sick employee. Rescheduled for the following week. Guys came and told us windows will not fit because of incorrect measurements. We were pretty upset after this time but was promised they would rush our order. Today, January 6th we were scheduled for installation again and once again a "mistake" was made and windows are not in yet. Totally and completely disappointed. The install team was able to get all 20 windows installed and indoor work taken care of in just 1 day and only needed to come back to do some outside finishing work on the 2nd day. Asked for a quote to replace siding on my house. Feldco sent a rep to the house to give me a quote. He quoted me over $30,000. Called several other vendors, their quotes were under $15,000. Feldco supervisor called and told me they were going to do the job for wholesale - still over $20,000. I did not feel they were offering me a "fair price," but were trying to see if I'd bite on the higher prices. I opted for another vendor. read more

I had Feldco install 2 windows in a rental in Madison, WI and I was very pleased with their work. But when I needed a new front door installed in that same house I had a very difficult time getting them to authorize it. I was told at one point that the owner had to be present for the estimate. I live in Seattle, the house in in Wisconsin. I would like to see this requirement changed or to have something on file that would eliminate the need to be there in person. read more

Just had two exterior doors installed and love them. They are attractive quality-made doors and storms and make my old builder installed, 20 year old doors look like a bad joke. The two man crew was professional and friendly and did a great job installing the doors. I would use this company again. In addition, the man that came to measure my doors prior to installation fixed a window for me that had been inoperable for three years. Overpriced and absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. The tech measured the exterior door we had ordered incorrectly so they had to reorder a new door. This took over a month and a half to actually get our new door installed. Then once the correct door finally arrived they didn't have all the right equipment to install it. It took them 4 trips out to our house just to install a front entry door, AND they never finished sealing the outer frame. I have called and left voicemails for the operations manager to see if they are ever going to come out to finish the job (almost 6 months since I ordered the door) and I have not received any reply. Horrible experience and the worst service imaginable. How hard is it to measure an exterior door and order the right parts to install it in one trip? Apparently too difficult for Feldco to accomplish. Go to Menards or Home Depot. You'll be much happier. read more

We are extremely happy with the whole experience! From the expertise of the salesman, who put the info out but didn't linger on with a sales pitch! We told him what we wanted, he measured, talked about choices, and gave us a very fair offer. Next up was another Feldco pro who came and measured more closely. Then a date set for the install. Those two gentlemen arrived early and worked all day! They cleaned up everything and were very pleasant. As far as the windows we absolutely love them! We've had our windows since around November 2009 and we have been extremely happy. Our experience from our first trip to Feldco on Stoughton Road through the whole process has been wonderful. The people at Feldco are super nice, professional, and don't try to sell you things they know you can't afford, and they go out of their way to get you the best deal for the price. We checked around to other window places and knew we were going to return to Feldco for our window purchase. We were treated like family from beginning to end and have not had any problems with installation or the windows since that time. We are planning on going back for more windows soon. read more
