Felicia was a very nice person. She just wasn't a great match for my family of 3 boys, my husband and me. As a strong photography hobbyist I expected much more than what I received. Besides the lack of clearly focused family shots, there were inconsistencies in the post processing. I've had other shoots where the photographer managed the time much better. My specific requests in our initial email conversations weren't met. I am disappointed things didn't turn out better. I emailed her and explained my disappointment and was offered a mini-session (30 minute session) at a reduced price or prints. That's hard to swallow. When I asked her about something on the contract she replied with "if that's what the terms say, then that's what the attorney wrote" There are so many other photographers in the market I'd definitely look elsewhere for a family photographer. read more

And this is saying something since we were lucky enough to book her when she was still in Los Angeles, where there seems to be a wedding photographer around every corner. From the moment I met Felicia, I could tell that she was a hard-working, talented, professional, and friendly individual. I immediately felt comfortable with her, and knew that I wanted her to capture the memories made at our wedding. After our initial meeting, I was impressed by Felicia's prompt email responses, attentiveness, and genuine kindness. Being someone who had never looked at a wedding magazine before an engagement ring landed on my finger, Felicia helped us navigate everything from the decision about whether or not to do a first look to the day-of timeline. As our big day [quickly] approached and every little detail started to come together, Felicia ensured that we never felt overwhelmed or frustrated (at least as far as our wedding photography was concerned). Rather, I looked forward to her emails and calls, which made me excited for the memories that we would make and she would capture on our big day--always knowing that she had everything under control and that she was going to make our wedding that much more perfect. When our wedding day was finally here, Felicia and her assistant arrived on time and immediately got to work. For any posed shots, Felicia took control of the situation and gave really helpful tips about how to position ourselves in more flattering ways; and for our candid shots, she just captured those perfect moments. As the day passed, I hardly noticed that she was there, and when I did, she would always offer me a smile and a few kind words. As a client, I can say without hesitation that she is an absolute pleasure to work with. Even our family and friends, who did not have as much contact with her, couldn't help but notice how truly talented she is. In fact, two of our friends have since gotten engaged and have specifically asked us for Felicia's information. Since our wedding in May 2014, Felicia has remained in contact to make sure that we received and are happy with our wedding photos and wedding album, and I am thrilled to report that both wildly exceeded our expectations. We did a lot of research and met a lot of photographers before deciding on the perfect photographer for our wedding on April 16, 2011. We wanted someone who could get those gorgeous artistic shots but who could also capture vibrant, natural human interaction. This is actually kind of hard to find because most photographers lean towards one side or the other. It is almost a year after the wedding and whenever I look at our wedding album I know we made the perfect choice. Felicia was able to do both types of photography superbly! She also worked with us on our budget and gave us options that fit what we needed. Not only were her wedding photos phenomenal, her engagement pictures of us captured perfectly both the location we chose and our essence as a couple. On top of all of this, she was organized, excellent at communicating and simply lovely to work with. David and Mikie switched off being the second photographer on our wedding day and they also did excellent work! If I have the tiniest criticism it would be that the layout she was able to do with the wedding album was not as inspiring as her photography. It may very well be that our own skills in putting the album together were at fault, so that's why I haven't changed the number of stars.
