Felix and his crew spent 4 days removing brush and downed trees, and removing any dangerous broken limbs after the recent tornado. We have over 50 trees and most were impacted by the high winds and by cyclonic activity. They salvaged what they could and now the remaining trees can come back to life. We had used Felix Tree services many years before, so he was the first I contacted for work on a 100 ft. bald cypress, and two crepe Myrtle's that were having some issues. Felix came over the same day to look over the job, we worked out a price, and the crew was out the next morning. Felix and is crew were wonderful. I called at 5:00 and he was at my house 15 minutes later to give us a fair and honest quote. Our tree split and was resting on our house. He had his crew out by 8:00am the next morning. They worked hard and efficiently. They cut and removed the tree, the stump, and all of the roots. Extremely disappointed. I used Felix Tree a few years ago to have have a large live oak trimmed in my back yard. They did an excellent job. I contacted them again to have the same tree trimmed. I spoke to Felix directly on his cell phone. He asked me to text him my address, and he would send his son out to assess the job. That was on October 30th. I wanted this to be done before I had knee surgery on Nov. 7th. Never heard back. Post surgery, I contacted him again, explaining that I was satisfied with the work they did the first time, and that I wanted to give him a second chance. Second chances don't last forever. Here we are, 18 days later. Still no response. Times up. My patience has evaporated. read more

This is the 2nd time we have used them. This time we had them remove a tree! They did an awesome job again! They are also quick. I was thinking they would be here day. No they got here about 9 and was done by 1:30. You can't even tell there was a tree there! The guys are very professional. I did want to mention that today is our trash day. Their truck was blocking the trash man from getting the trash so one of these guys actually saw the trash men and handed them to trash so they didn't have to go all the way around truck! This is how it goes when you buy a home: as soon as you sign that dotted line at the title company, things start to fall apart in and out of the home, right?! Well, one of these failures included two trees. They were knocking on death's door when we bought it, but they finally crocked. One was so brittle that a hard rain or heavy wind would bring down limbs, so it just wasn't safe anymore to keep. I wasn't sure how to locate a reputable tree expert and downloaded the Home Advisor app. With just a few clicks and keystrokes, I was receiving calls from companies offering to come out and give free estimates. One was too high, and another didn't even show up at our mutually decided appointment time. Um, no thanks, Mr. Unreliable. Then came the rep from Felix Tree. First, he showed up on time for the estimate. He took his time, analyzing the trees and even digging into the dirt to look at the roots. He was kind and patient with all of our questions. He gave a reasonable estimate and by the end of the evening, he was hired. He arrived the following day and completed the task within just a few hours. Removed the trees and the stumps, covered the holes and cleanup up the area. One of our neighbors who also had a dead tree even came out and soon they were removing that tree, as well. Since new trees do not grow well in the dead of summer here, he suggested we wait until the fall to plant new trees. We will definitely use this company to install the new trees and I would highly recommend their services. Very impressed! read more

Tree removal review for Felix Tree Services. I had asked my neighbors previously if anyone had any recommendations for a tree removal service for 3 tall dead trees and if so, approximate cost. I was given some names and told it would be about $3,000-4,000 JUST to cut them down, no stump grinding or removal. Too much for my budget. So I did some digging online - Angie's List, Home Advisor, and I kept seeing Felix Tree Services come up in conversations with positive reviews. The prices seemed much lower. So I called yesterday at around 2 PM. Felix came out at 5:30 that same day and quoted me $1,800 for everything - cutting, stump grinding, removal and clean up. They came this morning (8 AM on the dot) and finished at 11 AM. There was a crew of 4-5 people, very fast and efficient. They did a fantastic job, cleaned up great AND while the crew was taking a break, one guy even trimmed up three other trees at no extra cost! They had a wood chipper with them and it was all done in a jiffy. I can't say enough good things about them. They were attentive while bringing down large branches over the power lines in our backyard from 5 very large oaks, and away from the house, they made it look easy. The guys showed up on time, Felix speaks excellent English, they did a great job removing large limbs and smaller branches from 2 giant live oaks and trimmed crepe myrtles away from the house without damaging any of our fairly new landscaping.
