Started going here this summer, so far it's been great. From the moment I walked in it felt like home. Being out of the church for over 10 years and growing up in a big church in MN it felt like I was walking into my childhood church only newer. Everyone I've encountered thus far has been kind. The sermons have been great, Pastor Ed preaches the truth & addresses modern day concerns & issues though not all the analogies fit for me, personally, I'm sure it does for someone else in the crowd. Regardless he explains things simply & easy to understand,in my opinion. I've had quite a few "ah ha" & "oh that's what that means" moments with some scripture in the sermons- Even if I don't want to hear it but that's how it goes sometimes. He also brings up special guest speakers that are on social media which is great too. Definitely a mixed crowd. All ages, tax brackets and personalities. Though I have seen a more predominantly younger crowd, which is where I fit in. But it's still a good mix age wise. Worship service is great! HUGE kids area. Security on site - especially around the kids area. So that's wonderful to see. They have other locations too - the other locations are smaller so if you don't like bigger church's (like my brothers) - I recommend checking those locations out. So far my brothers are a big fan of the Frisco location, not too big, not too small they say. I've heard the other locations are great as well. 10/10 recommend! read more

1 1/2 year ago I got the chance to be in the media room for a while one Sunday and I was SHOCKED how rude the main girl over the media talked down to the ppl working in there! It almost made me want to cry bc these young kids were working hard trying to make a 'cool' Instagram post. Traveling for business in Dallas and had the urge to make a quick stop for a prayer. I was met by a very pleasant lady at the door where she informed me they're closed. They're only open on Sundays and wouldn't let me in the chapel to say a prayer. I thought the house of God was always open. Maybe I'm not worthy for that church... says it's open too. I've been going to fellowship on and off for several years. Served in the youth ministry and attended many conferences. The comments that are not so great, I can somewhat relate to, but I'd like to add- Jesus is always the reason. Salvation is the goal. The messages are not "religious" and I believe Ed teaches in a way that the kingdom principles can be applied to everyday life , which is what a large majority of people struggle with, and that is "how do I apply the word of God to my circumstance?" I've attended this church since I was in 2nd grade. Gave my life to God here, and have enjoyed it ever since. Looks like a mega church when you first walk in- but when you get involved it feels so small. I've been volunteering as a greeter for over a year and have met so many wonderful people who also just want to know God. Ed Young is a great pastor. He references scripture in his sermons and relates them in a way that can be pulled into every day life. I see a lot of negative reviews about the church discussing money on here. I just want to point out the Bible mentions money 800 times. It is the second most mentioned topic in scripture. Love it, don't love it, it's up to you. I, however, love it and would recommend it to any and all ages looking for a loving community. read more

This church does not see and value singles over the age of 35. They offer two Bible studies; 1 for singles up to 35 and 1 for married people. When I asked about it they said they don't do coed because "trouble" happens. Really?!? It's just this campus because the Grapevine campus has a 30's coed singles small group so I'm sure someone could start a 40's one too. In my experience, it's lack of community and support that causes trouble. A staff member told me they don't want to risk it. Again, I heard my age and single status makes me not worth pouring into. Sad. Womens groups don't accomplish the same thing, it's a limited perspective. I even told them I wasn't looking for a dating group; just the "fellowship" of other mid-life singles as we deal with different life challenges than those who are married. Took my dad to church for the first time. Ed talks about wokeism, racism, cussing, sex, etc. okay... so where is the lesson I'm supposed to take home and strengthen my faith? I'm sorry, but this service was weird. He tries hard to be relatable to youth. How is someone going to feel comfortable or in Gods presence with this message he is preaching ? I'm sorry but ... really bad service today on 9:25/2022. I'm very disappointed. I was looking for heartfelt encouragement. Im sure everyone is. 25 minute preaching about how America is not systematic racial injustice.... Worship was heartfelt (: loved the singers and band... pastor Ed, please just give the youth better faith instead of presenting a show and mocking the woke haters. Yes, "woke" people can be annoying. i don't necessarily agree with "rating" churches because everyone has a different experience and are going to church for different reasons. lots of people pick and choose when to go to church thinking it's meant to be a place to receive an "encouraging" and "motivating" message when the gospel is FARRRR more than that. really if you read your bible you will begin to understand walking with christ is not ALWAYS blessings and happiness.. sometimes it's suffering and quite hard... and that is why I love Pastor Ed and this church!!! he speaks on topics not everyone is comfortable with and all sermons are from a biblical and theological standpoint. I encourage people to stop thinking about themselves when attending church. not every sermon is meant to "motivate" you and make you feel like life is great.. sometimes it could be for conviction, change your perspective or simply for someone else! I have attended fellowship Church since I was a baby and it wasn't until as an adult where I truly was able to mature in my faith.. found community and begin to serve and that is where I can really say I personally get to see what is being done in the youth, families and everyone who attends! lots of people like to think this church is all about money but you realize that things don't just grow on trees and things just happen.. this church started at a high school!! and began to grow as time went on.. and why wouldn't you want The Church to grow ??? the more it grows the more opportunities there are for people to find Jesus and experience life change! I truly don't believe you can have a say in "money" regarding the church if you are not stepping out and witnessing what is really being done behind the scenes. my five-year-old loves FC KIDS and I can't wait for him to experience the new things that are planning to be built! Control is the key. Park where we tell you, sit where will tell you, clap and laugh when we initiate the applause, they just need an laugh and applause sign and make it easier, don't come late because the show has started without interruption, leave when we tell you. Nice people outside the auditorium but once you are within the security fence watch out for the suits, the earpiece team , and the movement monitors. I keep trying to think who Ed reminds me of, yes I know, Kramer on Seinfeld. Two stars for cleanliness, temperature, comfortable seating, adequate parking. The biggest problem here is the tithe. Ed Young preaches so much about giving your tithe to the church when the church has plenty. There's so much of it to go around that the head pastor literally has mansionS, multiple! I have found that when I put my tithe away for others that I can put it to much better use. I put my tithe away and when I hear of a friend or a person in my community who needs help, it goes there. It's very impactful and I would recommend you to do the same. Fellowship church has been such a safe place for me and my family. I have been in this church since I was born and they have helped guide me through all stages of life. The people, atmosphere, music, and messages are inviting and enticing. Pastor Ed is always a joy and provides relatable messages while following the Bible's stories. Their children's Sunday school classes and events are so unique and special. They plan their messages and missions in detail and you can tell through the amazing outcomes. WE LOVE FELLOWSHIP CHURCH. I have visited a few times between Sunday and Wednesday nights. Preaching is ok and the music is the same contemporary songs everyone is using except louder. Lots of marketing to get you in the door but the gospel is talked about in the visitor orientation. It is the most friendly church I have been to. There is nothing for middle age singles at this church . No singles Sunday school class. They have 43 small groups that meet but none for singles. This seems to be an issue wherever I visit. There is a Wednesday night meeting but it's for anyone. After 2 more weeks it's the same , nothing for singles. read more

First of all, this is a mega church so if you are looking for a small to medium sized church this may not be for you. However it is a wonderful, bible believing, church that is both spiritually fullfilling and alot of fun. This is a worship church as opposed to a bible study style church. You will get an applicable message, but the focus is on worshiping Christ and asking him to be a bigger part of your life. They offer programs for every member of the family; parenting classes, parenting of teens, middle school and high school church on Wednesday nights (called The Mix), motorcycle club, disaster response team and even a youth summer camp in beautiful East Texas (Allaso Ranch). If you are looking for a new place to worship or just in town on a visit, come check it out. Services are 6pm Saturdays and 10am and 11:30 am on Sundays. Pastor is Ed Young, Jr. They offer women's conferences (Flavour), men's conferences and conferences for other pastors and worship leaders. A great book store and coffee shop as well. Really wanted to love this church. it was close to home and seemed nice. But the sermons always felt horribly judgemental. Isn't the purpose of being a Christian is to share the gospel and love others as Jesus did? These sermons are not at all what Jesus would have preached. The worst thing is that I reached out to them regarding an issue with the way my son was treated within FC kids, and no one reached back out to me, ever. This was a week or so before Christmas. They can't respond to my concerns about son being treated like a nuisance by one of the FC kids leaders, but they can keep calling and emailing asking for my money! Great church but I am going to give my honest review. I moved to a different church because I moved from the area. The teachings are spot on and are rooted in the bible. All the participating pastors deliver the word of god and are intentional about bringing people to Jesus. However, this is a BIG, megachurch that does need to make money and market. FYI: the pastor will likely never be met unless you move high up in the church, this is a YOUNG church so you will see many young families and people. If you prefer a small more intimate setting where you know the pastors, this place is not for you. Pastor Ed is a great guy who likes to use props to draw attention to his messages and it is very well-crafted and creative. He teaches everything Barney style and really breaks it down for the newbie Christian. That said, if you are looking to get deeper into the word, get connected into a connect group. The youth group they have is next to none in the DFW area, there is no other youth group that is doing it big like "The Mix"! They also have Allaso Ranch which is owned by the church. The negatives: In my personal opinion, the head pastor is conservative (so am I), he preaches about the cultural wars going on. (IMO) 80% of the congregation is WOKE AF. My personal experience is that because of the demographic of young people, almost all the people I met were woke, living with their bfs/gfs, doing IVF/surrogacy, all the worldly things. They preach against wokeism but then hand out Air Force Ones to the kids at the mix when they just said, don't love the world. They play Tay Tay Swift but she screams feminism in her own personal life. My biggest red flag about this place: The church is OBSESSED with celebrities. I'm talking about inviting the people from The Bachelor, Sadie Robertson Huff, Jocko Wilink, politicians etc. I get the whole drawing people to church marketing thing but most people I have met go celeb crazy and see everything as an opportunity to get into their "influencer" status and play the "look who is here game". I understand the marketing standpoint and the tactics used to bring more people into the church. What else? Yes, I second John D. in the comments, the pastor does fly private, his house is over 3M+ which is totally fine. All of that stuff doesn't really bug me. The people were absolutely genuine and kind but it was hard to find friends that shared the same values or even believed what Pastor Ed. was preaching at the church. In intimate circles, they took his words like a suggestion for living a holy life. Lastly, the vibe is flashing lights and popular Christian songs. The church has its own worship team that also produces great music. I went to this church over the 4th. I am from N. California which is the most unchurched demographic in the U.S.. Once you arrive you'll notice from the parking lot the techno pulsating from the entrance and the stacked lined of greeters awaiting you. I knew at that moment, I was in for something special. Then I entered the Ed Youn Grapevine Mall. It was strikingly intense and intriguing at the same time, like entering an amusement park. I gathered immediately this was EY's baby. I asked a friend who attends Ed Young Church, what do you like about this church? She said, "Oh I like the energy and they talk about stuff I relate to." To be honest it's a seeker church on steroids. Nothing shocks me about church anyone but this one had me on stimulus overload. After the what-the-heck moment started to dissipate, I felt frustrated and sad. Yes, EY people... I must be a leagalist but no. Come on I'm from California, hello. While I didn't experience a reverence for Jesus you can quickly assertain this was out of focus on the Gospel, His word, although, I got a show about Jesus, I think? Even the bible translations used were bizaare, like maybe from a children's bible translation? Needless to say it was very unsettling and heartbreaking. Once I arrived in the sanctuary I recall saying to myself, Lord what do you think? I mean this is about you Lord, right? Sadly, this has almost nothing to do about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the end they requested people pray the prayer of salvation. You know, if you say these words and believe. The tough part is that many people don't know what they are believing in or why. By EY standards maybe it's a Ferrari, a trip to Bermuda and an EY book. Say the words, keep living the same and more than anything... keep coming and tithing. I don't write this maliciously because it's sad. I get consumer churches appeal to itching ears, entertainment and prosperity as defined by the world. Jesus is not doing a new thing, people are. It's not about legalism it's about man, this church is not about the Gospel. Why? Because that's boring but one thing the Gospel does do, it saves souls. We need to pray for the preyed. The majority don't know it. Like my friend, she doesn't know it. She loves the entertainment and even stated, "I really don't agree with most of what he says but... ya know the kids like it." Man that EY is good. Pray he comes to see the truth. True, the Gospel message will not make you rich or have a mega church but He was made poor so that we may become rich in Him not anything else. Here are my issues with this church. 1. I used to attend on a regular basis; but no longer do because I have relocated to San Antonio. I actually stopped going when I lived in DFW for the reasons below. 2. No one really reached out to me to make me feel welcome. I think I signed myself up for the new comers class; but never made it because I just didn't feel like I belonged. It is way too big for its own good. 3. VIP section at the very front? A lot of reserved seats? I have never seen this before or since at my other churches. It left a bad taste in my mouth. Pretty sure Jesus doesn't have a VIP front row section for all the Big Whigs of the church. Terrible. 4. I find it ironic that I am getting robo-calls advertising this church. Really?! It went off twice when I was at my desk and was WAY annoying. (I know, I forgot to put it on silent; but still..) That also puts a very bad taste in my mouth. I have to email the church to remove me from their list. Really??? Really. 5. It's just too gimmicky for my liking. I much prefer Denton Bible Church where you genuinely dig into your Bible and *really* take something away. It's straight forward and not filled with robocalls and a giant production. Absolutely dumbfounded. Checked this church out for the first time today...didn't read any of the reviews beforehand...didn't feel like it was necessary...because it's a place of worship...can't be that bad. Now after reading all the reviews, I couldn't agree more with the yelpers giving poor reviews and it's really sad to hear. We walked in and you can tell that they strategically place people EVERYWHERE to greet you. I literally didn't want to make eye contact with anyone or say hi to anyone after 10+ people said hi to me. I wanted them to just leave me alone. We couldn't go in and sit down right away...they keep you in the waiting area until they open the doors and parade you in. They attempt to make the music feel like a rock concert...and that's fine and all...but they just focus on the production. All they did was change words to popular pop songs to pass them off as Godly. The sermon was about nothing more than tithing. They passed around cards talking about the "90 day challenge"...giving 10% of your income to that church for three months...and that's not all folks..."if you don't feel blessed after those 90 days....there is a money back guarantee!!!" Ummm...sound like a freaking infomercial much?!?!?!? They stressed how your money had to go to THAT church. And hey...they are giving away a free cruise on Father's Day weekend!...so weird!!!!!! My husband and I were members of Fellowship Church for a little over 4 years. I was an usher and my husband helped with the babies (I have three children and enjoyed the break!). When my husband and I started Fellowship we really loved it, it felt like we were going to a Jesus rock concert each week. My husband and I were very young in our faith at the time and I believe that we thought that by being "so involved with everything church" that this somehow would make us "better Christians". Fellowship Church pushed hard to keep that mindset going. However after awhile I did start to grow in my faith through reading the bible and praying. The Holy Spirit dug deep and started making me notice things that I hadn't been able to see before, some of which were: As an Usher I was privy to a lot of the "behind the scenes" action. One being that Ed had/has his own "VIP Hallway". Home-groups were highly encouraged to use books written by Ed Young. When I really started looking at the books I noticed that if you wanted to better control your money - Ed had written a book for that. If you wanted to workout - Ed had written a book for that. If your children were acting up and you needed guidance - Ed had written a book for that. If you wanted to learn to cook - Ed had written a book for that. If you needed advice on marriage - Ed had written a book on that. Also, if you wanted to decorate your house - well, you could just buy the paintings by Ed Young. The list went on and on and I hadn't even made to the isle of books written for home groups. After this I noticed that nearly every sermon had to do with tithe. Tithe, tithe, tithe. Yes, as a Christian we are called to give. I've heard the argument that tithing is Old Testament, it was a grain offering etc. We all know the truth deep down - we are called to give. That being said: to have a sermon where the pastor puts a huge check on the screen and walks you through how to set up "auto draft" and proceeds to tell you that you if you don't tithe at FC then you are wasting his (Ed Young) and God's time is wrong. You cannot buy your way into heaven. God does not want or need you to give because someone is forcing you to do it. God loves a cheerful giver. When Ed said from the pulpit that he "knew that FC was a church that was going to heaven because FC is a church that pays their tithe" something in my became keenly aware of just how wrong this pastor is. The straw that broke the camel's back came when we received a Christmas card from FC detailing the many ways in which we could give to the church including the fabulous idea (please note sarcasm) of...are you ready for this? - Making Fellowship Church a beneficiary of our wills. Add in all of the celebrity name drops, the sermons done in a way that made it oddly look like he was actually on vacation and by filming a sermon he could write it off as a business expense. In my four years at FC I never once was able to shake my pastors hand. He never came in to the crowd and unless you had some kind of celebrity attached to your name you can absolutely forget about him being the one to offer any kind of biblical counseling of any sort. I've seen once (I have a few friends who have decided to stay at FC) Ed coming in to the crowd after a service - this was so you could have your picture taken with him. My husband left for a trip out of town one evening and there was a limo at DFW that FC uses to pick up their guests. Everything is just too over the top. Jesus presented Himself to the world as a humble servant, willing to give completely of Himself to the point of death. He had a heart for the lost which didn't include copious amounts of fanfare - that was what the Pharisees did and we all know how Jesus felt about them. Like I said earlier, my husband and I were young in our faith when we started at this church. God gave us the exact church we asked for in Fellowship; just so we could see it was not the church we needed. read more

Good music and I believe they probably have the right ultimate goal at heart. We really get a lot out of the messages usually, even if it's a new person preaching every week. BUT, they are extremely, extremely gimmicky. Loud productions draw people in, but can't you spend your money to help those who really need it and still entertain new visitors (I mean, is TECHNO music and jump houses in the entryway necessary??). Just to give a couple examples, pastor Ed Young was preaching and was using an analogy about a club. All of the sudden, club music starting playing VERY loudly as he tried to talk through it for literally five minutes. Seriously? Also, the worship music is great, but has a "rock concert" vibe to it. I also don't like the fact everyone on stage seems to be in perfect shape, have perfect teeth and is attractive. (I might bet the pastor and his wife have had facelifts.) This review is more in response to others out there about this church so we might as well clear the air on this stuff. Yes- this is a mega church. You can get lost in the crowd and throngs of people on Sunday. HOWEVER, if you are serious about your walk with Christ and truly want to live a Christian lifestyle, all you have to do is involve yourself (more than just showing up 5 minutes late to service one Sunday a month), and the crowd is no longer overbearing. Yes- this church does want to be popular. EVERY church wants to be popular. It allows your church to grow. Just because a church WANTS to be popular, does not mean that everything and everyone is shallow. Does Ed Young make a crap ton of money? Yes. Does he write and sell books for profit? Yes. Does that make him evil? No. Does he get money from my tithe? No. EY does not take a salary from the church - something that Watermark's pastor does, something that Irving Bible's pastor does, something that the Village's pastor does. Does that mean they are evil? No - it just means they haven't had the success selling their books (if they have penned any) that Ed Young has. The big question is does Ed Young and his family give back the money that God has blessed them with? The answer is a resounding yes. This church is geared towards young and old, new Christians and people that have been Christian for a long time and most of all, this place is geared to take in sinners. We've all sinned and fallen short. So that means everyone is welcome. The sinful lifestyle is not to viewed positively BUT we will love on you as a person and help you become the man or woman of Christ that you want to be. Come to service. Not just once though. Give it a few times. Than go visit other churches in the area. Don't judge a church too quickly is all I have to say. Fellowship Church is wonderful. It's big, but as our Pastor Ed Young says, "If you don't like big churches, you won't like heaven." They offer all kinds of ways for singles and families to get involved and really be a part of the chuch community. If you make the even the slightest effort to get involved, you will find yourself surrounded by really happy, caring people. read more

This is the most creative and fun church I've ever been to! I love how Pastor Ed is relatable and breaks down the Bible in modern day terms. His sermons are applicable to every day life. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. read more
