This church is unlike any church I've ever been to! From the time I walk in, the environment is over the top! Very welcoming, with people helping you park, then showing you where you need to go next. Upbeat music is playing the whole time before you go into the main area for the service. And I love the messages from Ed Young. The way he speaks is simple and easy to retain. Even days later I can remember what he talked about and refer to specific examples he gave. They make it easy to get involved. I would highly recommend this church! read more

I have never seen more good looking people assembled in one place in my life. Dallas-Fort Worth is known for their attractive people, a microcosm of the South's collection of pretty people (sorry folks up north), but Fellowship takes it to a new level. But I digress... Cool church. A bit rock concert meets American Idol meets motivational speaker but if you wade through all of that the message is good, something to gnaw on for the week. Only thing I wish they had was more of a community feel, athletics, stuff to do during the week. All in all, though, dress up, fix your hair and give it a shot. read more

This mega Church gives you a practical Bible believing message every week. Great programs for kids of all ages. Amazing teen Wednesday night worship, splitting middle and High schoolers. Truly a place for everyone here. The worship is really lively and fun! If you don't like loud worship music bordering on a rock concert, just wear earplugs. The message is always worth it! This is a wonderfully-approachable church where you can expect a good experience every time! I switched from a Church of Christ to attend here (Fellowship is an independent, nondenominational Bible church with a lot of ties to the Baptist tradition). Considering the conservative tradition I came from, the experience here is a bit overwhelming -- but it's well worth it when you consider how many people they reach each year. My church was lucky to have a dozen baptisms in a year, whereas I've seen around a hundred a month at Fellowship! They are big, and if you don't like big churches, go elsewhere. With a big church, you sometimes have to go to a little effort to get to know so people -- they have group bible studies in members' homes all over the city, and volunteering is a great way to meet people, too. At the very least, give it a try and visit, even if you're unsure about doing "the church thing". You can just attend a service and hear the message without really being bothered or made to feel uncomfortable if you like. The services themselves are so positive, with a variety of music styles alternated each week, and messages which are delivered in the modern lingo so they can be easily understood. And they're wonderfully efficient at getting everyone into and out of the parking lots and starting and ending services on-time. They're only one hour long -- you can spare that long to think about why we all exist, can't you? read more

I have been a member of Fellowship Church since 1999. The reason I loved it then and continue to love it now is the hospitality. Even though this is a large church, it is very easy to get connected with others and make lasting friendships. Beyond the hospitality the other main reason I love Fellowship is the the relevance of messages from Sr Pastor Ed Young as well as other pastors on staff. Message are relevant to anyone, no matter what walk of life you are in. Something awesome to mention, is the fact that every weekend experience is mainly run by hospitable volunteers. I arrived to Fc Church, Grapevine on a drizzly Saturday afternoon. I was greeted by several parking team memhubers. One to greet me as I entered the parking, another to direct me to the right direction and another to show me where to park exactly! As I walked up to the entrance, classic Chrismas Carols played, all the doors were opened with someone to welcome me. It really felt like Christmas! A program was given to me right away, there were two photo backdrops available to take your picture. It was so cute, just like a Christmas card! When we went inside the church, an usher was ready to show us our seats and knew the answer to my question right away, so helpful! The Classic Christmas Show was filled with dancing elves, a well written story line, modern day music and live animals. It is a must see performance! read more

We felt welcome the moment we pulled in. After going for awhile we decided to start serving and that's when we really got connected. Then I realized how easy it was to invite friends to Fellowship....I knew they wouldn't be treated awkwardly or overwhelmed with details about the Bible that they couldn't implement in their lives. I knew we had to make a commitment to make FC our permanent home when I saw how my kids hearts were being affected by what they learned. I have a different marriage because of Ed's (sr pastor) series....I leave every service with a better understanding of who God is and how I can better follow Him. read more

All of the lights! Like for real, the lighting on the stage is so on point. The praise and worship part of the service has a rock concert feel to it. It's very interactive and engaging. I have been to a satellite campus before but I definitely prefer the live experience in Grapevine. A few friends of mine go here. It's a massive church! Fellowship Church is a church that cares about every single person that walks through the doors. No matter who you are, you belong here. All the way from the street to your seat, you are greeted, welcomed, and loved on by a countless number of volunteers who are committed to making your Sunday the best every single week. Why? He invests so much of his time and energy to making a message that reflects the character of Jesus almost every week if the year! And I am thankful for the leadership that he gives to lead this church. I'm thankful for a Pastor who preaches straight from the Bible every week and always points everything back to the Gospel. Their children's ministry, FC Kids, is one of the greatest around the world! With a curriculum that is Bible based and is given to thousands of churches around the world, it's is making an impact. You can be confident in knowing that when you bring your kids to church that they will learn scripture, application, and love building friendships with the other kids. The programming is specifically created to help a kid understand the Main Point, for example, "I Will Encourage Others!" and the scripture that comes with it and how to apply it to their life! They are elevating kids and elevating families. And it wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for the incredible volunteers who live to invest into these kids! From the student ministry, The Mix, the Support and Recovery Groups, to the team that goes to Rapid Response teams that feed children in Haiti and help aid people who have been afforded by natural disasters, this church truly cares about PEOPLE! And has a clear mission to spread the Gospel to as many people as possible. I absolutely would recommend this church to any person I come into contact with. I love Fellowship Church! read more

I'm literally here just because of the negative reviews of people who attended one service and felt they were qualified to give a review. I can't believe the lies. Jesus isn't preached? The Bible isn't preached? Wherever you went, it wasn't Fellowship Church. This place preaches the Word every week. I can show you my Bible, full of highlighted passages and notes that reference other verses. Right now, we're studying Proverbs, for Pete's sake! To the person who was disappointed they collected an offering but didn't mention helping others, are you kidding? You want a church to talk about it every single week? Fellowship Church sponsors three orphanages, helps the homeless and hungry, has prison ministries, helps those going through hard times, helped me when I had cancer, and paid for my son to attend their retreat center. That's only the tip of the iceberg. There's not enough time to talk about all they do every week. I'm guessing those who posted these one star reviews (note that many of them like each other's posts) were looking for a feel-good church, and this isn't it. Is it perfect? No. Grapevine is the main campus, so they often take the best people from Dallas. The Mix at my campus can't seem to stay running, which is a shame. Pastor Ed once said dogs go to Heaven, but I couldn't see If you're looking for a fluffy church, this isn't it. We take our God seriously here. If you're looking to attend one service and experience all God has to offer, this church isn't for you. We're in it for the long haul. read more

I am a more regular patron of the downtown campus but the Grapevine campus has been tempting me for some time. With the satellite campuses you often view service on a large screen not giving it that live and in person feel that church generally has. This church is much larger than anything I have ever been to before but it still had that church feel. We were greeted by so many people that you really feel welcome. They have a Saturday service and was pleased to see that a lot of the staff of the downtown campus go to the Saturday service together so that they can experience a real service since they are generally partaking in the service the next day. The service was live and the beginning of a new series by Ed Young. Although a bit of a drive for me I do anticipate going back periodically. read more

This church is geared more toward the young generation but at the same time has something for the older too. I have been going to Fellowship for 17 years, I started out when I was in highschool. I was saved here. Built my relationship with Christ here, met all my best friends here, met my husband here! Watched my children choose Christ and be baptized here! Fellowship will always be near and dear to my heart. Worship music is wonderful. Pastor Ed is good. I have read many of these reviews and see a lot of people have a problem with tithing and say Ed does not teach the Bible. My husband and I are faithful tithers, and we do it because The Lord tells us to. Not just because Ed teaches it (from the Bible). We have witnessed firsthand the tangible and intangible blessings of God and it's much to long to write in this little review. Fellowship is stationed in Haiti providing meals and education to the orphanage there, we have rapid response teams for natural disasters, an incredible children's ministry! The list goes on. I see people have a problem with tithing and maybe their problem shouldn't be with the church maybe it's within their own heart. I once didn't want to tithe either. But I see firsthand all Fellowship has done and I support the mission, Ed has the most important job in the world, bringing people to Christ! He SHOULD make a living off of this! We should celebrate with others victories. I see a lot of reviews complaining about volunteering & tithing. The best way to make friends at church is getting plugged in and volunteering. Walking in for service and walking out is not the way. I met all of my friends through volunteering and it's how I met my husband! I can see why people write bad reviews because they are not doing the two essential steps in being a Christian - volunteering and tithing! I went to the Easter service. They're nice and efficient with parking. However the experience wasn't for me. It was more like a concert than a service. Everything was lavish and over the top. They gathered money for themselves and I never heard anything about sponsoring the less fortunate or praying for others like other churches I've been to have...it's a business. I'm also not too fond of knowing Ed Young's 11 million dollar net worth...the more people you bring in the more his salary goes up as well. read more

My father has been a minister all of my life. At 52, I know the stress placed on the shepherd of the flock. My wife and I began attending FC in 2000. 20 years later, I can attest to the Divine influence on our family form the faithfulness of a perfect place for imperfect people. Every sermon I've ever listened to, I've witnessed the Bible opened and read from. That's the first sign to me that God is speaking. I've seen Ed Young preach raw messages of Truth. I've seen him and his staff be creative so they could reach out, reach up and reach in. I've seen FC feed the homeless and the Haitian orphans. I've witnessed age appropriate teaching and how it effected the lives of my children. I watched my children accept the gift of Salvation and baptized along the way. I recall my Dad visiting one Sunday and my nervousness about his opinion. After all, they played a U2 song that day and my Dad is old school hymnal. But after the service we stood on the second floor overlooking the outdoor baptistry where a line of people were making their profession of faith public. I watched a tear roll down my father's face as he said, "it's hard to argue with that. That's more souls won for the Kingdom than we reach in a year." FC is about the unchurched. It began as a vision to reach those who old school thee's and thou's don't reach. Once evangelized, if those same souls will plug in, teaching and discipleship happens. By nature, making scripture relevant to those who have never heard much or for those who are used to a diet of milk, creates a challenge. But rest assured, if you attend, you will hear the truth. If I could give them a Zero Star rating I would. Previous member, was the host home for a Home Team. Then I was told that the Home Team was "reconstituting" for a younger age group, and I was welcome to find another Home Team. Also served in the Newcomers Class (what it was called then) as the a/v person, then asked to train someone, who replaced me when "they heard I was going elsewhere" (never said that). If I had said or done something wrong I would have apologized, but never was told that. Left and didn't go to any church for a long time, finally wrote them to have my name removed as a member. Last time I went back it was a shell of what it once was and what it could have been. read more

This church is required no social distancing, no mask for anyone including the staff. I had to leave the mix early due to my dad needing me. I was harassed by several staff members telling me I need to call my dad so they can talk to them when I was simply trying to leave. They argued for more than 5 minutes about whether it was my right to leave or not. My friend asked to go to the restroom and was denied access to the restroom and was told security would be called if he proceeded to try to go to the restroom. They treat it like a jail instead of a place of God. read more

I have never been to a church where I felt so uncomfortable that I wanted to leave in the middle of the service! I honestly couldn't get out of this church fast enough! The whole sermon was about money! I was absolutely stunned when Pastor Ed said that the people who don't go above and beyond the 10% tithe are "FAKE CHRISTIANS" What kind of pastor says that?! He also says he's actually happy to see the people, that don't give the church tons of money, leave the church. From what I noticed when I was there and what I have read about this church, people will either love or hate this church. It's definitely not for me and I will never return or recommend it to anyone! read more

I hate that I waited so long to write this review but here it goes. When my family and I moved to Fort Worth in Jan 2014, this is the first church we visited. I went the first time without my husband because he had to work. It was ok enough that the next weekend we came back. I didn't really like the fact that it was a satellite church but I was willing to give it another chance. Guess what Ed spoke about? Tithing. Now there's nothing wrong with tithing and teaching about it. We as a family tithe. What really had my husband and I furious was the he said, and I'm quoting him exactly, "How dare you come in here thinking the gospel is free?" WHAT!?!?!? I was appalled and saddened at the same time. What if there were people who came that morning having never heard the gospel and this is what they heard? This is the gathering place of everyone who wants to SAY they go to church. They make you feel very welcomed, to encourage you to empty your wallets and volunteer your time. Once you give everything you have to give, you realize they're extremely clique-y. I volunteered there for YEARS, three to four times a week, and was never invited to hang out with the employees, watched them make plans in front of volunteers without inviting them, etc. but they LOVED the volunteers when they needed something done. I was a scheduled volunteer for years and gave everything I had to better the FC community I was a part of. I walked in the LGBT Pride Parade in support of my roommates mom, who recently had the privilege of getting married to the love of her life (yes, another woman,) because I didn't feel that my religion should determine other people's liberties, and everyone at the church stopped speaking to me, stopped scheduling me for volunteer hours, and deleted me on social media. It's a nuts, very cult-like group. Fun to attend if you feel like pretending to like church, but otherwise I'd skip it. There's plenty of other churches who don't want your money to fund the pastor's daughters' Louis Vuitton purses. read more

Visited the Grapevine Campus several times. Couldn't stand the confrontation of the hosts/ushers to corral everyone to the front area that is viewed and televised to other campuses.My family and I were happy to sit where others were. Instead of respecting our decision the scene it caused took away so much of why we went there in the first place. To hear God's word. After all of this happened, our hearts weren't really open to the message and the new visitor we brought said he saw enough. No wonder their attendance is down (hence why they want everyone up front for the camera view.) Maybe if people were welcomed and respected more would be attending. This church is great in a different way! It's HUGE but it caters to every age group and that is why I like it. You leave feeling alive, awake and ready for life's challenges and blessings. Don't get me wrong, I am not a Bible thumper but I do have faith and going to Fellowship on Sunday morning gives you a little boost for the week. Fair warning for newcomers, this church isn't for everyone. This is not your traditional sit down and listen to a quiet sermon for an hour type of church. This is out-of-control! There is a light show, a band, props, tons of people and a bunch of energy. Ed Young tops it all. He incorporates stories and humor. I recommend going for the Christmas sermons. I started going to this church over 17 years ago and I loved it. I soon joined the church and was baptised there. I loved Pastor Ed Young's sermons and the music was wonderful. The music in the children's rooms was very loud and I mentioned that a couple of times to different people running the program, but nothing was done about that. There were other things here and there that bothered me, but also a lot that I liked. What finally made me change churches though was that I had applied for a job in their IT Dept several years ago. I had an interview and was given a tour and introduced to the rest of the IT Team. Then I spoke about being offered the job by the IT Manager. He told me that I had all of the qualifications and recommendations and that I would be perfect for the job except that I was a woman. He said that there are times when an IT employee might be called in late at night to fix something and often a fellow IT employee would show up to help. He said because they only had men working in the IT Dept, it would be wrong of him to hire a woman. He said it could put the Dept into a delicate situation because I might be called in to work on something at night by myself with one of my male coworkers. That would cause gossip, I might start an affair with one or more of the men, and it would reflect poorly on the Church. He said that as a religious organization, they had the right to deny me employment based on my sex. I work in a male dominated field and have often been the only female working with one or a group of men at all times of the day and night. I have never had an issue being attracted to my coworkers when I was single, and I was married at the time I was denied employment because of being a woman. I would never have considered cheating on my husband. Anyway, I have dealt with sex discrimination before in my field of employment, but this was so blatant and surprising, that I didn't even know what to say. I politely left and soon changed churches. There were several reasons my family and I changed churches, but this situation was the final straw. I did research this a little and it does seem that churches can discriminate in several ways during their hiring processes because of their religious status. read more

This is the most awesome church ever!!! The music is incredible with very contemporary worship tunes that also sometimes includes some relevant secular music. The senior pastor is an excellent communicator who is able to bring the Bible to life in a way that is understandable to everyone. Perhaps the best thing about the church is the incredible youth and Children's ministries. Un-be-lievable. Although the church is huge, by getting involved and serving in various ministries, the church gets alot smaller. My wife and I serve by taking care of the "crawlers" in the nursery, participating in various community outreach events, helping by working backstage or in the control room running graphics. We also have a wonderful small group "hometeam" Bible study group in our neighborhood that makes church even smaller. We love Fellowship Church!!! read more

Just, no. No, no, no, a million times no. This place is so over the top it is ridiculous. Too large and college campus-y. Too mall-like. Walking into the place where they give the sermon (or message as they call it) is like walking into a club or a rave. And it is so incredibly loud...painfully loud. The music is full-on awful. Just awful. I felt like Drago must have felt when James Brown was singing "Living in America" on Rocky IV. Just disoriented, dismayed, shocked. I couldn't wait to leave. read more

This pastor ( Ed Young) does not teach the word of God. He doesn't preach from the Bible. His messages makes you feel uncomfortable and ashamed. This church is not a church of Jesus. I came here a few times to give it benefit of the doubt but every sermon I went to was about him or irrelevant topics, not once did he teach from the Bible. read more

While the message may be good, I would caution whether to become an actual member. We were part of a satellite location in Allen Texas. Without warning we were notified the church couldn't locate a building, etc. for a reasonable cost so we would have to move to the Grapevine church to continue. While it's understandable with real estate costs at a premium, to provide no warning was shameful. I had been attending from when they were located in Plano and finally moved to volunteer in the kids area. To continue after 90 days I must become a member. A reasonable and expected request. When I asked during a membership lunch about where tithing goes (I'd been tithing all along though not an official member), the response was "for all you see the church does. Except when looking into membership I requested financial information, nothing detailed, a simple audit to verify monies being handled appropriately. 6 emails, an apologetic phone call that it took 6 emails with a "i'll have that to you next week" and two weeks later still no response, I decided this church was not worthy of my tithe. For a large church I would've imagined they'd have the business of acquiring members and answering all questions more organized. This is just my own experience. Decide for yourselves. read more

Went to Fellowship a few times and at first was captured by the big production, until one sermon focused on an interview with Troy Aikman ( and religion was not brought up once) and then the second half focused on why you should donate to the church and not on other frivolous things. First off this pastor, wears clothes that are highly expensive, looks like he faked baked a little to long and has a gift shop for all his merchandise. All I left with that day was the knowledge that this is not the church for me. read more

Interesting reviews. Every church probably has the same type of critics (see John 8:1-12) and supporters. No Church is perfect. If you focus only on preachers, you will find them ALL wanting. All men are horrible sinners (including pastors): Romans 3:23, Isaiah 64:6, Jeremiah 17:9-10. (We all need to look at the first few verses in Matthew 7--every day.) Ed Young is not perfect...but it's very obvious that he loves the Lord with all of his heart...and that he & his wife have a heart (Christian love) for their neighbors--you and me. This church is welcoming, loving and focused on "making disciples." (See Christ's final commandment to us all in Matthew 28:19-20.) The preaching is based on God's Word. The premise is that we are sinners and destined for our just consequences...and that we desperately need a Savior...Jesus Christ. Pastor Young's sermons to those who don't know Jesus Christ and have not found salvation from our Creator are compelling, humble, genuine and some of the most powerful, loving entreaties I have ever heard in my 58 years. God, through Fellowship's pastor, compels those who listen to make a decision, yea or nay. If you don't know, personally, our Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ, you WILL find Him here. [PS: There are more scriptures on finances than on most any other subject in the Bible. Why? Because you and I are selfish and don't want to hear/read scriptures like Psalm 24:1 and 2 Corinthians 9:7. So, I totally get the reviews by those who criticize this church--and every church--for discussing what is important to God, that is, giving back to Him, cheerfully, what is already His. ; ) ] May God richly bless Fellowship Church, its members, visitors and seekers! read more
