The reviews from 2013 and 2011 could not be further from the truth. In fact, they are probably from individuals who did not do their homework before hand or expect the home buying process to be inexpensive. I recently closed on my 1st home purchase with the help of Fembi mortgage. My mortgage broker was fantastic. Being that I have never purchased a house before, she took the time to explain everything to me. They provided me with a good faith estimate on closing costs and the amount at the time of closing came to be lower than what was estimated, which is great because it shows that they put the work in to ensure they were conservative in their estimate. Considering I purchased a foreclosure through homepath, there was no PMI insurance, but Fembi worked to give me the best rate possible and was extremely helpful when giving me options to pay down the rate and explaining the different options that were available to me. Overall, I would definitely recommend anyone who is a first time home buyer, or anyone looking for a home for that matter to consider working with Fembi. FYI - I have no affiliation to this Company. My close personal friend who was my realtor recommended them as she bought her home through Fembi. Buying a home is great experience depending on who is helping you. I must say that my mortgage broker, Dolores, was a blessing from God. She kept me informed throughout the entire process and explained to me step by step what was needed from me and why. She was very personable and treated me like family rather than a client. She and the company worked with my family to make sure we got into our home with the best interest rate and the least amount closing cost that they had control over. They made sure the home we wanted was the home we got :) Every member from my loan officer, her manager, the closing representative, the credit director, the loan processor, and the front desk lady treated me and my family as if we were the only ones buying a home in the state Florida. They always had a prompt response to my million questions and it did not matter the time of the day, they were always there for me and had so much expertise to share. From the beginning, Sonia and Lisa took great care of us. As the listing agent on the transaction which involved Fembi mortgage I wanted to commend the loan officer Yanet Ceballo and manager Ana Garces for working diligently to approve a self employed borrower. Being in the business and working a short time in origination I can understand the complexities of approving borrowers that are self employed. We were on a time crunch and we needed to give the buyer an extension. The sellers on this home also had to request and extension on the home they were purchasing. The Domino effect left many very anxious and concerned! Yanet went beyond the call of duty and worked throughout the weekend to make sure they crossed ever T and dotted every I before going back into underwriting. Ana also came to the forefront to assist and worked with the underwriting manager as time was crucial and all parties had a lot riding on getting a clear to close. Yanet Ceballo was the best thing that has ever happened to our family! She saved us from the devils den! She is so professional, caring and loving. As first time home buyers,my husband and I had first went to Chase Bank to purchase our first home. It was a terrible experience and we lost $1,500 in inspection and appraisal fees and the house we fell in love with. Chase really screwed us over!!! Pro: Great experience. Everyone from the front desk to the closer were great. My loan officer Mrs. Acosta pre-qualified within 24 hours after sending documents. Within 24 hours of pre-qualification, my loan processor Mrs. Diego sent me my Welcome Package and called me to explain what to expect in the days to come. She was great at explaining all the different items that the underwriter was requiring for my loan. Mrs. Acosta promised me a low rate and delivered that promise. Con: They ask for ALOT of items for a loan. They questioned my "small deposits" telling me that due to some government act they had to question all deposits in my account.
