After one too many bad experiences with realtors from Zillow, we were finally matched with Karen Starosta. She made a great first impression with us. Unlike the other realtors who didn't take the time to listen to our needs and didn't give us the impression that they would be trustworthy and transparent, Karen made sure to answer every single question we had (no matter how silly) and was dependable and honest. What really made her stand out to us was how passionate she sounded about her job: She made it very clear to us that she enjoyed the experience of her clients finding their perfect home. We quickly realized what a great decision we had made with her and she was excellent throughout the whole process. Karen does all of the things you would want in a great realtor and more. She is extremely responsive (emails, texts, calls), knowledgeable (Brickell local), and diligent. As condos/apartments leave the market so quickly, there were many last minute viewings and late phone calls, but she showed up every time. There were even a few times when I wanted to make sure she knew it was okay to reply a little slower or reschedule because she was so hardworking! Our family is in no way easy to work with, yet Jason did a great job of navigating all of our priorities to hone down on the potential condos that would satisfy everyone's needs. She is a great listener but, more importantly, she is extremely intuitive. There were many times that we thought that we knew what we wanted but would change our minds. We probably drove her crazy! :) But she always remained patient and observant. After going through a few condos with us, I could tell that she already knew what our personal tastes/needs were, even if we didn't communicate them clearly. My husband is not the best at communicating, but Karen has a knack for reading between the lines. Our search was much more efficient and productive with her help. Moving to Miami (from California) last minute during a crazy market like this is daunting and choosing the right realtor is one of the most important decisions in the process.
