My husband send in a quote request the end of April and received timely response with a quote and when they could do the job. The price was very reasonable. We were notified the job could be done the 2nd week of May. 2 employees showed up as scheduled and they preceded to remove the old fence and completed the job with a couple more guys by the end of the day. I reached out to The Fence Doctor. He was prompt and offered a ballpark estimate. He had no Yelp reviews so I was skeptical. I did review them on Angie's list and Google. A few days later Doug came bye to give a firm estimate. He did not try and upsell me on anything. We accepted the bid. Doug's brother, Levi, arrived right on time and got to work. Levi, like his brother Doug, had good energy and was upbeat. The job was complete and he walked us through an inspection. Zero concerns. Got a quick quote from Dewey that was very reasonable considering I have a very long fence that was sagging in several spots. Job involved not having to dig out the old posts but rather space out new galvanized posts with cedar wraps. Best darn fence company around. We had our fence warped from previous owners and needed to 1, get it repaired and 2 to convert to a 12' gate. I had asked my neighbors who to call and they gave me some numbers. I found Fence Doctor online and reached out to them and boy am I glad they did. They're the only company to actually come out and look at the job onsite and meet in person to go over the scope of work. I had very high hopes for D Fence. Called to get a quote on a small residential fencing project for my North End home. Dewey answered and came out a week later to look at the project and offer thoughts. He assured me he would be back in two days with a formal quote and write up of the project. He never showed. Despite my calling him three times and leaving messages over the next two weeks, I have yet to hear anything back from him even now - a month later. It's a busy time of year and perhaps he didn't want to do my small project. But basic communication should not be too much to ask. Disappointing. Will be going with another contractor. read more

Service is their middle name. Dewey is the owner of the company and he personally came right out, listened to what I wanted and left with a bid in place. The bid was on par with other companies, but number one, they actually show up when they say they will and two, they use really good quality stuff. I actually had him recreate a fence I'd seen in a magazine and it looks amazing! They were even careful with my sprinklers and moved them so as not to damage them.
