Life changed and I didn't go forward. I had kept Margarito's number and called him in early July to have him do the fences. He came right out, remeasured, and gave me the estimate, which was a little more than before, but I wanted more fencing than before. The guy came out and looked at the property, gave me a ball park estimate. Made several remarks how his crew is professional and they never have call backs. I looked at some photos and their projects looked good so I decided to go with this company. He told me his fencing was galvanized and once he had the final measurements and made the modification he would send the materials out for powder coating. So he came out on Thursday to do final measurements. So he said anyway, we never saw anyone. Next thing I know he said he wanted to start the next day. Well I know powder coating takes longer that a few hours, so that was his first lie. Regardless he came and started Friday, now I was told they were going to be cementing in the posts on Friday after they removed the existing fence. I takes time for the concrete to cure so that worked for me. This way they had all day Saturday to do the fence paneling installation. Now I get home Friday night and half of the fencing is already installed and the concrete has only had an hour or so to dry and installing panelling. Not good. That is the first problem. So at the time of my agreement and signing of the paperwork, I was to have no weldment connections from the fencing to the posts. So much to my surprise when I got home Friday all of the fencing had been welded together. (no call to me to ask approval for the change) This was the second lie and a breach of written agreement/contract. Upon inspecting the fencing I saw a bunch of the welded in pieces uneven and poorly welded, of course I called to asked about the welded connections and poor weldment and then I got the second lie. He told me that his crew thought is would be better so he decided to weld it together instead of calling me and asking me about it. UNPROFESSIONAL.... So they came back the following day and put up the rest of the fencing. Now to my understanding they made final measurements and pre cut and "powder coating all the materials" But no they were cutting off the panels and welding on pieces to fit things together. They then proceeding to grind off all of the welding splatter and crap from the fencing and spray painted the damaged "powder coated areas" with run of the mill black krylon paint. Horrible.... Unfortunately the experience didn't end there, 2 days later the fence posts in the side of the yard they installed the panelling on before the concrete fully cured has cracks in the concrete and the posts are moving. I called to talk getting the posts re concreted and he told me they would be out right away to get it done. Lie number 3. 6 days have gone by and no calls and no show. I would not recommend using this company, and for any future needs I will be looking else where. I will be contacting my attorney to see about getting this resolved read more

There are a million and one fencing contractors to choose from, if you find yourself looking. And fences can get pretty expensive. It can be pretty scary choosing the "right one". At least it was for me. Gus, Fence Master, was able to set himself apart from the rest, from the word "go". Our good neighbor had initiated the call to him and three other contractors (one was a mega warehouse store) because we were going to replace a fence between our two properties. We needed even more done, so talked to two of them besides Gus about doing our entire property. Honestly, Gus won our attentions. He came over dressed neatly, was easy to talk to, respectful, had a nice sense of humor. We felt comfortable. He even returned our calls promptly. Such wonderment. Gus typed up two very detailed bids (one for the shared fence and one that had two variations for the remainder of our property) so there was no mystery what we were going to get. And he made sure we got the bid quickly (which the others did not). The third contractor never even sent us a bid for our big job. Gus' bid was reasonable and the shared fence came in significantly less than the other three. We did not enter into a contract quickly. In fact it was 4-5 months later, yet he still honored his original bid. When we were finally ready, we asked him for referrals, people who had fences made by him, so we could see and possibly talk to them about his work. He had nothing to hide. He immediately responded with a nice email of addresses and names. We were able to see with our own eyes, they met our standards. So, the day finally arrived for him and his partner, his crazy funny cousin, to come over to do just the shared portion of fence. Impressively, they arrived on time! It was incredible to watch their teamwork. Mind you, neither of them is a spring chicken, more like old stew hens, but they rolled up their sleeves and it was like watching speed demons. Tear-down went super fast. They cleaned as they went. The posts, made with galvanized steel surrounded by wood, were all pre-constructed off-site. They dug the holes, positioned the posts and filled the holes with cement the first day. The second day, wham bam, the cross supports were up, all 96 feet of vertical fencing went up in a jiffy, beautifully straight, and tah dah, they were done. Efficient, beautiful, sturdy, great quality. Impressed! Now, we were ready for Phase Two: the rest of our property. It was easy to make a decision after watching the two of them work. Gave him my special instructions for a different style fence in the front that added a bit of character, as well as two new gates, one a slider for the driveway, both with strong metal backing. Then gave him the word "go". All I can say is, it is better than imagined. These gates will last forever. He even repaired a small back section that we had decided not to do. He waved me off when I asked him how much. There is nothing I can say more heartily than Gus is definitely a great fence master. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. read more

I spoke to a man who identified himself as the owner earlier in the week, and we made plans for him to come out and view our property on Sunday morning so we could discuss the fence, pricing, etc. We agreed that he would call when he was on his way over and did not set a specific time. Was a little skeptical of the extraordinary reviews, but Gus lived up to the hype. Was the lowest of 4 bids, and responded much faster, and without any need for follow up calls. Honored his original bid after it took 2 months to make a decision. Called ahead to arrange for date and time of install. Arrived on time, and set to work immediately. Finished at nearly the exact time he said he would, and did an outstanding job. I hope that this review helps someone out, because we are very happy with the work. Hired Gus to replace a gate. Contract written to install a 6 foot gate and he put in 5 foot 10 inch gate which left gaping space between gate and cement. Wouldn't correct his error so now taking him to court. Would not recommend this company. Contract doesn't match what was installed. Perplexed why he feels this is acceptable. Very poor customer service. Just stated "well that's they way I always do it". Looks odd. Told him should have written that variation in his contract, not 6 foot gate which was in place before and what I wanted. read more

He even called 2 hours prior and spoke to us. 3pm came and went and he never showed up. We called and left him messages, but we gave us around 8pm when we figured he wasn't going to give us the courtesy of even calling us back. We waited around all afternoon and wasted the day waiting for him to show up. Definitely not professional to miss an appointment that he set and not even call to let us know.
