Manda Gates and Fences installed both an electric gate and a back yard fence for us. The gate is two driveways wide and moves smoothly and effortlessly, plus it looks great. Our second job was a back fence. We chose white and I was surprised at how nice it looks, really makes the yard look finished. It too is sturdy with cemented posts and I think 24" rebar. Both jobs, done separately, went smooth and quickly. The crews were respectful of our property and did a good job with cleanup. We worked with Ben and he was wonderful. Unfortunately, I have to update this review. After being charged $900 for a mechanical lock on our gate, we have had nothing but trouble. After repeated requests and long periods of non-responsiveness, the company has sent different people to attempt to fix it or to replace it a few times, but it breaks again after just a few days. This has now happened 5 different times. It has been months and months of back-and-forth with no resolution. We have currently been locked out of our gate from the front of our house and are unable to get any response back from the company on next steps. It has been extremely frustrating, especially after being charged $900 for a lock that worked for such a short period of time. After initially being happy with our gate, we no longer would recommend this company. There is no good follow-up or help if there's anything wrong after installation. They are completely unreliable. We've waited for weeks before finally updating this review, hoping for a good resolution, but after getting no response from the company after not being able to even open our gate at this point, we're fed up. They have extremely poor communication, often ignoring messages outright, and terrible quality products as is evidenced by our lock that continues to break over and over. In short, Manda Gates & Fences cannot be trusted and will waste your time and money. read more

We did a pretty good size job with Manda. They built a large, custom motorized gate with a lift master installation and they also did wood fencing around the property. The fence was done a couple of years ago and still looks great. They had also been very helpful with the removal of an old fence including some concrete that went quite a ways down. The gate was a hard project, as the driveway was a bit sloped, and the gate was quite heavy and wide. The reason why I am writing such a great review is that this company and Moses do not quit. There were some follow up issues with the gate and Manda never abandoned us. They committed themselves to getting things right. And they never tried to charge us more, which was fair and ethical. We had been trying to find a fencing company to install a clear plexiglass fence on our property. But we had little success as many fencing companies did not deal with plexiglass fences. We had a great experience with Avi and the crew. We needed to replace our front privacy fence. It's a tricky job given that the fence runs down a hill and is immediately next to a guardrail in some areas. They were able to quickly quote the job and educate us on the various options (wood, stain, seal, etc). They provided fair pricing and were responsive to our various questions and requests. They worked with us to make small tweaks to the fence as it was constructed in order to accommodate for some odd twists and turns dictated by the hillside. I rarely write bad reviews. But today my experience has just been unacceptable and I hope changes can be made so that a mistake like this is not repeated. I scheduled an appt for an estimate and provided 2 phone numbers where I could be contacted. I was given an arrival window of 1-3PM. I cleared my schedule and waited for them to call when they were on their way. At 2:45PM I called to confirm someone was still coming. I was told, yes, that someone was on their way. A few minutes later I get a call back saying they had tried a while earlier, but could not find the house. I thought this was strange, as nobody tried to call from the front gate. I then realized they had written down my cell phone number incorrectly. They did not try the second phone number I'd provided. I understand mistakes happen, so I agreed to reschedule after confirming they had my correct contact information and address. Second try - they had an incorrect address. It was just the street over, so I texted the correct address. He was having trouble finding it, so I got in my car and waited at the driveway entrance so I could see if he drove by. I then sent him a screenshot of the streetview from Google Maps. I didn't hear from him, so I called and he told me he had left and this had been a waste of his time. He was given the wrong information by their scheduler. I, too, wasted 5 hours of my time. Schedule with caution. read more

These guys are as good as it gets when it comes to working with contractors. After our house was broken into, we needed a more secure pedestrian gate for the entrance to our backyard. Manda gates built us a beautiful self-closing black metal gate with cedar planks, along with a stopper to keep the door open. I hired this company to install tall fences around my property following a terrifying home invasion. Instead of installing a fence all the way around as I hired them to do, they installed a fence 2/3 of the way around for ~$20,000. Burglars can now still enter easily on one side of my property!!! When I brought the error to their attention, they asserted that we must have had a "miscommunication." Then they demanded I pay $5000 additional for them to finish the job. Edit: 10/6/22 Well, some months after the installation of the gate which I was initially very pleased with, this experience has actually completely taken a turn for a lemon. There's an issue with my gate they installed that causes it to blow closed from even a slight breeze and I've now had it close on my car, scraping it, twice while backing up and caused me many more times aggravation trying to maneuver around its half-closed, unstable positioning. So being this technical issue naturally I reached out to Manda several times by phone last week, each time no answer until the end of the week when I spoke to an unfriendly operator who said the service manager would call me back. Guess what, he never did! To boot, with whatever patience I have left, I tried calling again this week and again just got a voicemail machine. Do I need to say this all amounts to beyond pathetic customer service? Very disappointing to have this experience. read more

Customer service and attention to detail are both quite poor. Photos show the installation of the gate when they left 11/10/ 2020. The fence in several places, was not soldered to anything, so it was not secure. An end cap was missing. The paint job was really poor. And a major fabrication error remains to this day. It took almost 4 months to get them to come back. And this was after promises from both Gal and the owner, that they would be back. The guys did\'t know what to do, they were frustrated, and only one spoke a bit of English, it was not a good experience. Sadly, one error is a fabrication error so the workers could not fix it. The error is on the decorative scroll on top of the gates. One scroll, the unfinished side faces outward, and on the other, the finished edge faces outward. And this is what people see. Manda Gates has not done anything to replace it. read more

After getting HOA approval and signing the quote agreement we were told that the project would cost more. Communication between myself and project manager was mostly initiated by me unless it was billing related. Product paint finish is modeled and visibility irregular but I'm going to live with it. Workers were prepared and installed in a timely manner but final cleanup could have been more thorough as metal filings, concrete dust were left in alley.
