Rude, unprofessional, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The only professional person in this company was Mr. Eric Van Buren who came to assess and give us an estimate. Since he left we never heard back from the company, we called multiple times, no one answered, we finally had to call Mr. Van Buren who contacted the company's secretary who finally gave us a call back and placed us on the book. One day before they were scheduled to install the fence they called and told us that the job will be deferred till the afternoon instead of the morning and will take two days. We were fine with that although I and my husband had already made arrangement with our work for this appointment. We rearranged our schedule accordingly only to receive a call on the day of service that they have to reschedule because they were backed up due to weather. As I was explaining to the rude person on the phone (Charlie) that we will again have to rearrange our work schedule to accommodate yet another change in their schedule, Charlie said: OK I will give you your deposit back in condescendent way like "take it or leave it, we do not need your business". We were more than patient with this company not returning our phone calls, accepting their assessment even though it was higher than others' we got, rescheduling, explanting our plant because we were told that was where the post will be installed, getting the city to mark gas, water, etc.... we did all what we were supposed to do, for them say if you don't reschedule we don't need your business. read more

Charlie was great to work with up front. His quote was significantly better than others I received, but buyer beware, you get what you pay for. What was initially a nice looking new fence, things deteriorated with each passing year. While I still stand by the original statement of being great to work with, and a much better quote than others, it has become very apparent that you can't substitute quality for cost. Our fence did not hold up well at all, with the majority of the footings heaving, and several panels lacking in structural integrity. Gates on both sides became unusable, and broke down almost completely. The decorative lattice top, while nice looking at first, began to fall apart rapidly. The wood itself seemed quite flimsy, and needed constant reinforcement with additional screws. We had someone from Fence Me In out to assess things, and they snapped some photos and had agreed some replacement panels may be needed. What was then communicated as a potential replacement being needed resulted in them coming out and saying they wouldn't warranty any of it. Our only consolation was that they removed the fence as it was no longer functional. Just a word of caution that a cheaper quote isn't always the best route to go. They were scheduled to rip out the old fence and set posts today but no one bothered showing up or calling. I had to call them to learn they had two sick calls and would not be able to get to my fence until Friday (Apparently they had more important jobs to do.). They did not care to hear about the fact my wife took off today so she could be there. If I didn't call them, we would not even know we had be rescheduled. Don't bother setting up an appointment. It doesn't mean anything to this company. They will show up when they feel like it. read more

I emailed Fencemein asking for a quote to build a fence in my yard.Lisa responded quickly and set up a time to have the estimator come out. He came and asked me if I had any idea how I wanted the new fence to look like. I said yes he suggested i email those photos to him and he would have Liz email me a bid in three days. After a week I contacted Liz and she said she would get it to me by the end of the day...Well that was 3 days ago and no bid. Communication and being able to follow through are important. I can only imagine putting half down on the fence project and then they don't show up to build the fence. read more

We called to schedule a site visit and explained over the phone that we had a small project. Eric showed up and spent about 5 minutes measuring. He indicated we'd have the bid emailed to us in about 3 working days. It's now 7 days later and no email bid. If the job was too small, or there wasn't time in their schedule, an email stating that would have been great, so we could proceed with getting more quotes. Communication is key. read more

I called this company in early spring because I needed my yard fenced in for my dogs and I had a yard issue with the neighbors There fence did not go all the way to the property line so that was the issue they still had land on the outside of their fence-they would have issues when my dogs would walk on their 3 feet of land. I paid for a survey plotted the markers and all Fence me in had to do was put the fence in. The crew comes in and right away he says he fence it near the property line, I'm like I'm not going to argue just fence it. they did exposing the same footage of yard what ever so the nieghbors creeped in and they fence that area off. No worries the fence was not even put property they didn't put a tension wire on the bottom and put the fabric really short. My dog kept going through the fence into the neighbors yard causing same issue he used the fence as a back scratcher. I called Charlie he made some effort sent a guy to fix it. All the guy did was put a tie on. That wasn't the issue. I told Charlie the issue and he never replied back. I ended up redueing the entire project with a different company and they did it the right way. Don't trust these guys he hires people from the streets that don't know what their doing. The crew that came over were scared to put a fence in and they don't know what their doing. Pay the extra dollar with the bigger companies I gambled and lost ended up with a bogger company. I paid 3900 for 200 feet and ended up paying the same money with another company and they got it fixed. Ended up paying 8000 for 200 feet at the end. You are better off hiring bums off the street. read more
