Last week Rich and his team built a cedar fence in our backyard in Brooklyn. All in all, this was one of the most efficient, pleasant, and easy experiences I've had with a contractor/sub-contractor, etc. (and having gone through a full renovation of our house, we've worked with many). I can't speak for their non-fence work, but I would enthusiastically recommend Fence R Us to anyone looking to have a fence built in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Specifically, Rich said his team would complete the job in 2 days, and they did just that. WORST experience EVER. If I could give half a star I would. If you want a good quality fence for the right price DO NOT use this company. They installed a chain link gate for my driveway that ended up falling apart after two months. I called Richard the owner multiple times; he kept telling me that he would stop by next day to fix it, it's been two months and he never showed. I ended up having to call another fencing company (Energy Fencing) to fix Richard's mess, and they did an AMAZING job compared to the horrible mess Richard left me with. read more

Rich came to give an estimate for replacing fencing on one side of our backyard the within hours of my initial outreach. He and his workmen removed the old fence, carted away the materials, facilitated delivery of the new materials, and installed the new fence in 1 1/2 days - this includes a custom gate connecting our back yard with our neighbor's. They were efficient, respectful, and professional. The new fence looks great, and has held up well even to some high winds that rip through our block from time to time. I now see that I am not the only customer who was cheated by this company. He took deposit 7 months ago and all I heard for months are excuses until he finally stopped responding. I however do not plan to sit and do nothing. Already have an attorney and waiting for court date. This is just step 1. Listen to these reviews people and do not hire Richard and his Fence R US company!! read more

We found this company ,and needed a replacement fence , and called this company Fences R US and got the owner , Richard, to show up and see what he had to offer...we decided on a 6 FT White Privacy Fence, he took the 50% deposit , and gave a receipt, showed up on time, and removed the rusted out steel cyclone fence.....his 2 workers dug the 6 holes for the posts, added the cement to each, and when cured , put in the actual fence, we noticed that Richard was OFF SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE ON HIS CELLPHONE,with a bunch of his companies receipts (more than likely new orders) ....now the bad part...as the 2 workers , did NOT add enough cement, the POSTS are LOOSE.....Richard then made 2 PROMISES to us., to RETURN with BRACKETS for the ORNAMENTS to be hung over ,the fence, at no charge, in addition, he said that he would RETURN in a FEW DAYS to ADD MORE CEMENT to STRENGTEN THE POSTS, that are 3 FEET in the SOIL ......this was OVER 1 YEAR AGO !!! (Job started on 8/19/16) REPEATED CALLS TO RICHARD...ended with 'I AM TOO BUSY' ...and NO return to FINISH what he STARTED and was PAID for..........My ADVISE to any buyers ??
