The surgery scheduler Molly whom I named "hot tamale" was considerate of my work schedule and asked my input as to when and where I'd like to do my pre ops and post ops. Dr. Hood breaks down everything in laments terms and know that I'm an athlete and know how important it is to get back to training, therefore he's taken a conservative approach before the final decision of surgery. I will report later the outcome.

I fell and broke my hip and femur and was operated on by the best Orthopedic surgeon there is…read moreperiod and his name was Dr. Tony Russell. I was taken to Methodist Central and was operated on at 6:30am the next morning. I personally requested Dr. Russell because from experience let's just say I knew if anyone could put me back together the right way it would be him. He did a remarkable job. I was in the hospital for a month and there was one day within that month that Dr. Riley Jones was making rounds for Dr. Russell and I was sitting in a chair and just finished with a bath. As Dr. Jones came into my room, He never Introduced himself and looked at me as if I had come from another planet. He proceeded to pick the corner of the sheet I had covering me up with his index finger and thumb as if I had something he could catch. When he spoke it was if he had a ego as large as a elephant sitting on his shoulder. He never once addressed me by my name. He treated me as if I did not matter. I have never before or since met a Dr. like him. He had the worst bedside manner I had ever experienced from a so called Doctor. I saw Dr. Russell the next morning and requested that Dr. Jones never come back into my room as long as I am a patient. Dr. Russell apologized on behalf of Dr. Jones and said he completely understood and for me not to worry he would take care of it. It affected me mentally and emotionally for quite sometime in a very negative manner as every time I thought about it I just could not reason with he not as a Doctor but as a human being why would he treat another human being the way he treated me that sad day. I guess it fulfills him to some great evil extent to treat others as if they don't matter or ever mattered.
