Parking was $5 and the park was empty except for our party. The bridge provided covering from the rain and there were many picnic tables surrounding the park. The play structure is made out of trex building material and included LOTS of elements for our kids to play. Swing set, monkey bars, climbing rope, etc. the ground is squishy. There is a good amount of noise from the cars driving over the bridge overhead, but it was a sweet spot to eat lunch and let the kids work off some steam.

For older kids, this looks like the real deal. It's clean, there's a big covered picnic area, swings galore. I believe you do have to pay sometimes but I really don't know. Each time I've been, the gate has been open and we walked right in. Other times, I believe they close the gate and you have to pay at the building. Highly recommend calling ahead of time or looking online. Clean, safe, fun overall!

I probably haven't been here in over 15 years. Back then, it had completely different playground equipment. This new stuff is fancy and cool! There's stuff that's great for the little ones who have just learned how to walk and for the big kids who want to climb everything. Personally, I'm also a fan of the mom and baby swing! The only downside? This park can get a little interesting at times because of where it's located. Interesting people, dogs off leashes... just be prepared.

One of my favorite places to spend an afternoon with my son…read more What was once a disgusting wasteland in the middle of Queen City Avenue is now a wonderful park, with a little creek running through it, a playground, and a pleasant backdrop of a valley between slight hills sparsely populated with the classic Italianate-style buildings this city is known for. We had a particularly memorable experience yesterday walking down by the creek and saying hello to some geese and a duck tagging along. The path is really long and I've hardly had a chance to really explore it with my son: soon! For those who aren't a fan of a long walk, the playground is definitely one of the nicer new ones in town. Haven't tried the sprayground/splashground/w/e, but kids always look like they're having an awesome time over there! I feel a little odd making it a destination; the people of the community love this spot and there's no secret why. All are welcome for sure: just saying that I am glad to see that this gift was made to this community as well. After too many trips to the taco truck up the road, I just had to try it out with my son.
