Ziegler Park is an urban area that isn't nearly as aesthetically notable as some of the other areas of Cincinnati. Instead it offers a pool, a playground, and some other amenities. This is a great pool to visit if you want to get some relief from the heat. I have visited on multiple occasions- both with children I babysit and with friends. This past Sunday it was very busy and it was difficult to even get two chairs together. We snagged one when we arrived then got into the pool. We had to wait until later in the afternoon to get a second chair, but we didn't necessarily mind because we were in the water. I wouldn't necessarily consider this a relaxing place to come- it has a very lively and busy atmosphere. If you are fine with this vibe then definitely come check it out! read more

Not a bad place to get some pool time in if you don't have one. The pool is located in OTR and there is some street parking, but there is cheap garage parking across the street, which is what I would recommend. Usually under $5 to get in, which isn't bad. There's also a handful of places to get food within walking distance. I'd recommend going on a week day and not a weekend. If you go on the weekend, it seems like everyone in Cincy is there and a crowded pool is really no fun. However, every hour or so, the children have to get out of the pool for the adult swimming time. There's plenty of space to set up in a chair, relax, and enjoy the sun. There is also a pretty sweet rock climbing wall that is in part of the pool. The bathrooms are pretty clean and doesn't smell like a urinal when you walk in. The staff is also pretty friendly and seem pretty relaxed. Again, the weekends are packed, so if you don't like to swim with a lot of people, then go on a week day. read more

This is a great new pool in the heart of OTR (also a small splash park and a playground). I've been here a few times this summer and here's some tips: - get here before noon if you want to ensure you'll get a lounge chair. They open at 11am. - feel free to bring a cooler and snacks. No alcohol though. They also sell some food like chips and popsicles. - don't worry about kids. There are not usually many here. The crowd is mostly 20s-30s I would say. This is one large pool that wraps around to varying depths. They also have a rock wall and diving board. They play popular music and the staff is friendly. Entry is only $4 for adults, $2 for kids and seniors. read more

Went here for the doggy swimming event and was very impressed with how orginzed the event was. Tickets were pre-sale, and there was no issue checking in. Staff was making rounds checking on dogs and being fun and playful. All the dogs seemed to love it, what a cute idea! Would come back to next year's event. read more

TL;DR A true gem of OTR. A perfect place to go on a hot summer day with luxury amenities. Just make sure to go early on the weekends / holidays to get a spot! This is one of our favorites in OTR. It's clean, safe, new, and expertly staffed. We have never had a bad experience here. The best advice I can give though is that it can VERY busy on the weekends and holidays. So much that you can't even get a single lounge chair or seat. Really. They have a small diving board and rock wall too! Although if you go on a weekday it's exceptional. Paying at the entrance will cost you 4$ but we have never had to pay. Literally just have walked right in every time. So the security is pretty lax. (We justify this with the ungodly amount of taxes we pay to the city to fund this pool since we live in otr). Make sure to grab a sandwich for lunch at the 5 star takeaway deli right next door on Main st! read more

This pool has something for everyone. It is completely accessible. There is a diving board, climbing wall, lap lanes, zero depth entry, and they have awesome adult swims a few times a summer with a DJ and drinks! The summer is winding down, but I'll definitely go back next summer! read more

On any given summer Saturday morning you will find me at Ziegler Park's pool. The pool is amazing. Always sparkling and clear water. The pool has so many perks. Zero depth walk-in entry, rock climbing wall, wheelchair accessible entry ramp as well as a diving board. The staff and lifeguards are super friendly and very protective of their patrons. I took the plunge and got a season pass and I would recommend it to everyone! The cost is based on a sliding scale of your salary so that everyone has an opportunity to be a member. read more

This was honestly the best part of Cincinnati to me. Which I guess doesn't say much for the city but says a lot for the park. We came to the area at night to get dinner and walk around and parked across the street from the park. It was super cool to see it open late at night and to be able to run around and play like children for a while. This is one of the cooler parks I've seen. read more

Cool urban park in the Pendleton area (just east of Main St). There is a large pool with lifeguards, lounge chairs, etc. the pool is zero entry, providing a gentle slope into the water. It also has a rock climbing wall, where pool goers can climb to get some exercise, which is pretty neat. Pool charges a small fee. Free stuff: Splash pad Children's park/climbing structures including a modern four person see-saw, a small grass turf hill, some slides, etc. the playground doesn't offer much shade directly above the play structure. read more

The pool itself is very nice but the out of control kids and lazy lifeguards ruin it for me. Parents in the area use the pool as a babysitting service and check their kids in and then leave them. Even during adult swim there are dozens of kids in the pool and the lifeguards do nothing. You can't stand anywhere in the pool without getting cannonballed over or shot in the face with a water gun... read more

I took my kids to Ziegler many times last summer. After some negative experiences at our neighborhood CRC pool (which I hate to say because I overall love the CRC), this became our new go-to pool for the summer. We went so much last summer that we opted for a membership this summer and I'm glad we did because we are getting so much out of it! The pool and facilities are always clean, the staff is friendly and the lifeguards are very attentive. The pool is large and wraps around to different areas, including a family area with zero depth entry and a splash feature, swimming lanes, deep end with diving board and rock wall. Both my kids (5 and under 2) love this pool, they feel like they have plenty of space to splash and swim and I as a mom love that the pool has life vests and floaties available to use and that the lifeguards are very on top of it. They also offer free swim lessons! We can't wait to spend lots of time here this summer! read more
