Our experienced was wonderful with Judy, the front desk receptionist, who made an appointment with Doris. We had 3 phone appointments and 1 in store appointment. Mid December, I ordered and paid Ferguson in full for Dreamline shower doors that were "in stock." By mid January, I was still receiving emails from the Ferguson sales rep that she had not received a tracking number yet, and she could not provide any information on delivery, even though I informed her numerous other vendors promised to have them in Asheville within 5 days. This was clearly not a supply chain issue. Therefore, I contacted Dreamline directly, and I discovered that the order had never been placed by Ferguson. It was only with the direct intervention and follow up from the manufacturer that I finally received the shower doors. Dreamline was fanastic to do business with, and their product is great too. However, I will never do business with Ferguson again. read more

Even though my address reads Florida, we also have a NC home. We went in today to shop for pendant lights. I was concerned due to the bad reviews, but we were incredibly impressed! What a store! What selection! We were greeted warmly by JP who went on to assist us later. We also went to another local lighting store and found that store to be higher priced on the same pendant we saw at Fergusons. read more

Did my first reno with Ferguson's a couple of years ago and had a great experience. Tried to work with them again on our new house. Got the initial quote. I explained that we needed our refrigerator ASAP since our new house did not have one. I was told that the delivery people were all booked up with other jobs and fast delivery wasn't possible. So a big box store was happy to help us. When I tried to purchase the remaining order, after finding that I purchased my fridge already the rep wouldn't return my calls or email. So I purchased the same products (Toto soaking tub, Framingham vanity, Hans Grohe shower system) online with free delivery and saved more than $600. I guess I am happy that Ferguson's rep didn't return my calls. read more

This showroom is poorly run and you can get everything there someplace else. My builder sent me here. Wish he'd warned me about their bad customer service. I can't believe this place can make it treating customers this way. Why would the designers and builders permit them to treat us the way they do? Oh, they're paying them a commission on our sales! I ordered two kitchen sinks from Ferguson. After weeks, I called and their sales person with whom I was working also called to see about delivery of the sinks. We were told repeated times that the sinks were on the way. Finally, in exasperation, I got the order number, called and found out that the sinks had not yet shipped from China. I had to choose an alternate set of sinks in order to finish my kitchen. I agree with the previous reviews saying that customer service is not great - not in the showroom (make an appointment if you want help) and definitely not in the ordering and delivery system. read more

I'm using the Knoxville Ferguson for many of my home purchases. We were in Asheville and needing to make a selection of something while and I wanted to refresh my memory, in person, on the handle, of one of the dishwashers we'd chosen. The woman just slammed my purchase and told me no Ferguson could get it for me after I told her that I had bought it from another of their locations. Basically bad mouthed my sink, dishwashers, range and hood choices. I found her comments to be very poor form, but especially awful given that I had bought them, told her so and that I was using Ferguson. If I had come to this location first, I can assure you I'd not have bought anything, EVER, from any other of their locations. Just deplorable. read more

I don't really know what the problem is with Fergusons , because I sure had none! Located in Biltmore Village with convenient parking in either side we were there now at least 4 times and have nothing to complain about, the contrary actually we were treated prompt and warmly. Our look is more on the Asheville Hippie side so picture jeans and long hair, but that didn't throw this , on the nicer side, store off. Every time we went we were greeted friendly and asked to sign in, only to get one of their representatives ready to help you, if you only want to look ok around they leave you completely alone, I like that. So the first couple of times we only looked, asked our builder about them and then we hit them big . Last Monday we bought a bathtub, great help of Lindsay , she informed us about everything we needed to know and asked a lot of questions. At no point she tried to sell us any warranty or other things although we hinted that we want more appliances, easy going. She gave us a massive discount because they know our builder and they keep the tub in their storage until we are ready to pick it up. She also printed us a bunch of things from other appliances we were interested in , no pressure. Today the stove! The receptionist still knew us and organized Charlotte to take care of us , Lindsay was off. Again very pleasant , fast service. She even called a supervisor to make sure that everything is prepared the right way. She told us several times that changes are no problem and made us feel good about our purchase. I walked in without an appointment, twice. I only had to wait a short time for Hannah. She was fantastic. She told me the difference between spray patterns and water pressure of the different manufacturers. She knew the benefits and drawbacks of each. I sat down and sketched out the layout for the new bath.she knew the product lines and was able to narrow down the choices of vanities. TRY FINDING THAT LEVEL OF SERVICE ON LINE! We were warned about this place, but needed a tub quickly and knew they had some on display. Greeted nicely on a Saturday by Stephanie who immediately went into a 'soft-close' sales technique; asking our budget and how quickly we needed it, and will we be purchasing anything else. We were very specific about our $2k budget, the type, length and drain placement that we needed...that's when it fell apart. She proceeded to walk us around the showroom ala Vanna White, showing us the features on EVERY tub that we weren't going to buy. She even had the stupid thought to tell us the tubs were $5-6k. When I told her point blank no, she offered to have us sit at her desk to look for other tubs that may suit us. After 3 minutes of watching her play around on the Ferguson site and come up with NOTHING, and watching steam come from my husband's ears, I graciously told her we could do the same thing at home Tip for whomever trains your salespeople: how about they actually LISTEN to the customer? If I step foot into the Ferguson showroom again, it will be only to get ideas for fixtures and faucets and then we'll buy them from Hajoca in Hendersonville, who treated us well and knew their products! read more

Have been here twice and this is NOT a friendly or helpful place. I'm renovating a bathroom and kitchen. The first time I went, I was completely ignored the entire time I was there, though no one appeared busy. Went there today to look at bathroom fixtures and actually approached someone his time to ask about purchasing a shower head. She very condescendingly told me that you can't just buy something and walk out with it because it's all display in the store. I didn't know. I won't return a third time. read more

I bought brand new appliances with a new home build over a year ago from Ferguson. From day 1, the door on the microwave convection oven was faulty. It will not properly close - it looks, sounds, and feels closed, but the door sensor does not engage, so the the light stays on, and microwave will not come on. You have to slam the door really really hard to get it to work right. Fergusson support has looked at it multiple times and said install is perfect, and its a known problem with this particular model and they shunted us to a 3rd party support company they use that handles warranties and repairs. Unfortunately I have been on a revolving nightmare of support between Ferguson, and this other third party support company that Ferguson uses that keeps calling to say they are closing the case even though they have not done a single thing. The net result is an epic fail on the part of Ferguson and I can't recommend them because - I bought a very expensive appliance brand new from them, it did not work since day one, and have been getting the run around for over a year now, and its still not fixed. read more

I am a designer and have had only problems with Fergusons. Appliance accessories were included that my client did not want nor ordered. Then we had to put up a major fight to have them returned and refunded for store credit. Then we ordered a ceiling fan with that refund. We ordered it in wood as shown in showroom model and it was shipped in white. It sat at the dock for weeks before I tracked it down. We went to Ferguson at the recommendation of our general contractor. We were short on time and did not have an appointment but I recommend that you do. Fortunately Ms. Charlotte Compton was able to work us in. She was terrific in helping us determine all the needs for our bath renovations. The next time we visited again on a last minute decision to upgrade all our kitchen appliances. Charlotte once again came through with great advice, kept us on budget, and worked out the best package deal for us. I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was with the contractor discount. It was better than what I was looking at on my own and with better quality appliances. We will return I am sure. read more

We recently finished & moved in to our new custom home. Very early in the process, we were assigned to Charlotte (Crompton) Hipps as our consultant. Couldn't be more pleased. Charlotte helped us with all of our major finishing decisions: plumbing fixtures, appliances & lighting. We made several appts, each time she took her time with us & guided us with options, quotes, etc. Her "youthfulness" made such an influence on keeping us modern & current in our choices. The drivers of their trucks around Asheville have been seen MANY times on I-40 browsing on their smartphones for several miles at a time while swerving and not putting their phone down. I called to let the company know and was told "Love, there are so many drivers and we get calls like this all the time. Management is not going to hear these complaints without specific descriptions." I gave this 'customer service rep' all the information I had, but it wasn't enough apparently, so he decided to call me "love" many times, then treat this issue as not important enough to share with management. These people are a joke, just riding on the money customers throw at them for their overpriced items. I would imagine the culture in this company is similar to this conversation. As a contractor, I will NOT do business with this outdated mentality. read more

Shop anywhere else. They do not return phone calls. They do not tell you when your appliances will come in. Dealing with them has been a nightmare. When my appliances were overdue, the first comment was "well, they've been ordered." Don't take much hope from that. They promise to call you with status and don't. I am an interior designer in Asheville and called Ferguson about a fast track project. I was transferred to different people no less than 6 times and finally had to call the main office on my own. The person I spoke to then passed me off again! It seems that none of them wanted to help or had no knowledge about the most efficient way to help. I walked in to see what they offered in terms of brands, options, etc. I was quickly welcomed by a pleasant greeter, asked to sign in, and she asked me if I was already working with a salesperson. I said no, and she said ok, and that was it. She returned to her desk and made herself busy. There was no offer to find an available salesperson the entire time I was there (I didn't ask, but i would have thought someone would have asked in the half hour that I walked around the showroom with my two kids). There were about 4 people working at desks throughout the showroom that seemed busy, so I didn't want to bother anyone, and there was one lady that came up and gushed about my kids, who was quite pleasant, but never once asked if I needed help with anything. They do offer exceptionally nice options in several brands, so if you're looking for something high end, this is probably the place to get it, if you can figure out who to ask..... Since I'm redoing a bathroom and kitchen, they probably could have sold me on a number of items had someone asked. read more
