It's very small, consisting of essentially a room the size of one of my high school classrooms. But they've packed quite a bit into that room! Half of it is a kid's reading area, with a lot of great kid's books and a storytime area. There's a librarian desk in the middle, delineating the two halves, and a decent selection of new releases. Then there's the adult section, which has a few racks of fiction and a lot of nonfiction, with a lot of useful books for people who live in the area. There's also a number of free computers along the wall, most of them are in use whenever I've visited. If you're unhappy with the selection on offer, don't fret -- the Ferguson Library has a really great online system and you can reserve books and have them sent here for pickup. Keep in mind though that this branch has more limited hours than the main branch, and to me that is the one drawback. People here are friendly and nice, and there's a great cross section of people who are at the library. It's a great place to browse!

They have attractive displays in the entry area and throughout the library. There were enough signs around that made it easy for me to find the type of books I was looking for. When I was ready to check out, the librarian at the circulation desk was very friendly. I also love that their book return is a drive up one!

Could spend days there rotating through different study spots Even has an art gallery upstairs with rotating exhibits! Also upstairs is an audio area to listen to vinyl (and extensive collection of vinyls). Lots of outlets in each workspace area. Very clean, plenty of windows for natural light. The bottom floor has a cafe with a lot of food options. You can only eat in the cafe area, but the options are so diverse (sandwiches, pizza, nuggets, small frittatas) and coffee is very cheap as well. Even the cafe area has a section of outlets. Multiple self check-out desks, both on bottom floor near the cafe and on the main floor. Also several help desk stations (bottom floor, two on main floor, and on top floor). My happy place. Makes studying more bearable.

From the moment I arrived and greeted her with a polite "good morning," I noticed a distant attitude; she didn't respond to my greeting, and when I later asked for the Wi-Fi password, she gave me a disapproving look. I found a quiet spot where no one was around, put on my headphones, and joined a virtual meeting, speaking in a moderate tone to avoid disturbing anyone. About 15 minutes later, the librarian approached me and abruptly asked me to leave, stating that the library was not a place for calls. While I understand and respect that rule, the way she communicated it came across as unnecessarily arrogant and unkind. It's not just about enforcing rules--it's also about how those rules are communicated. A more respectful approach would have made a big difference.

BEWARE…read more October 3, 2019 time between 3-4 PM I came to the library today because my sister needed to finish her job application. As we went into the computer room it was a full house with all the computers in use except for three. We decided to use the two computer up front. As we are using the computer after an hour the librarian comes up to us and says we have to leave because we were on the computer the longest. As we turned around and looked the exact same people who were on the computers prior to us coming ( all non colored) were still there. We told the librarian its impossible for us to be on the computer the longest when at least 6 of the original people were still on the computer . She could care less about what we were saying and started logging my sister off the computer in a rush. She was really rude and could care less that my sister needed to finish. I asked to speak with the supervisor and she took me to Mr. Kevin a tall friendly fellow who actually listened and proceeded to walk me up stairs to resolve the issue. MR. Kevin was nice, friendly, professional and kind and tried to resolve the issue. 5 stars for Mr Kevin 0 stars for the mean librarian

It is located on the same grounds as a community garden, excellent grammar school, dog park and tennis courts. It's also several blocks from a decent beach. They hold a variety of community events. Computers and movie rentals are available and the staff are friendly and helpful. A great quiet place in a quaint building, perfect for looking for a job, reading the paper or doing homework. This small town library (branch) is a perfect compliment to the larger, more sophisticated main library downtown, which is a big city type of facility

Some events there will be 20 kids and some may only have 5. Either way, it is fun to bring out the kids or just go there and spend the day there. The librarians are very nice.
