As a Calgarian I can't help but compare this store to Blame Betty as they carry many of the same things. The differences are that Drunken Sailor has a bigger space so it's easier to move around and, as they have more room, they carry a few more brands. What I really liked about Drunken Sailor is the wonderful, friendly service and that they carry bigger sizes. Most pinup girl type clothing comes in a range of sizes from XS-XXL but not all stores carry the larger sizes. Drunken Sailor does. They also carry the Bettie Page line which is made for busty gals with hips. And the icing on an already great cake? We forgot to plug the meter but another local business did it for us so we didn't get a ticket. Thanks so much!

This Costco is only an hour after crossing the border. At $114.9, their gasoline was still cheaper than the stuff I get in California assuming conversion calculator I used is correct. Bathrooms are cleaner than Walmart or Target. Walking inside and exploring is a great thing to do. They have all kinds of stuff including medications you can't get in the USA. They have sports sweatshirts of Canada's baseball team. If I wasn't a Dodger fan, I probably would've bought one. It is interesting to see how Costco's differ after a few hours of driving. Then there's food at the food court. No smoothies at this location. But, you can get chicken strips with French Fries, or Poutine. If that doesn't suit you, you could get a smoked meat sandwich! My wife works in healthcare so the owner had some recommendations that really made the ring come together and not interfere with her work. Little modifications so gloves don't tear when you put them on, making sure her hair never gets caught on the ring, little things like that. Every time I came to the store front I was met with smiles, you can really tell all the employees love their jobs and want nothing but the best for their customers. At the first design meeting I was up front about my budget, and the owner was very respectful and diligent when designing the ring around my budget. It was never brought up a second time. This made the process very enjoyable and stress free as I new exactly how much everything was going to cost. The owner went out of her way to order custom cut diamonds from New York that where so beautiful she bought them knowing that type of diamond doesn't come around very often. After the fact I can come into the store front when ever is most convenient for me and they will clean my wife's ring and give it a quick once over, if there is anything less than perfect they take care of it right away! If you want to spend your hard earned money on a local, multi generational family business, that provides the highest standard of service, provides the highest standard of product, who genuinely takes care of their customers, then Tomkins is a no brainer.
