Views views views!…read more Great change of pace after days of hiking. I rented a 1 seater kayak from glacier outfitters. It may look like a far walk but it isn't! Totally doable. The staff was very nice to explain everything to me. They showed me the lake map and where to go and not go, etc. Instructions were very clear. I rented 2 hours (they have you 15 mins for the round trip walk). The walk from the rental to the lake I thought was a bit of a walk but it was not bad to haul the kayak there, they are on wheels so it is not bad. You leave the wheels near the trees. Returning the kayak was fairly easy as well. There are lockers available that you can put your stuff if you don't want to take it with you. The minimum number of hours is 2 hours and it was 40 something. Overall it was a good experience! Everything was great. Would recommend and use service again.

We had people waiting for our parking spot when we returned to the car. I'm not sure where people would park when it gets very busy. Perhaps there is another parking lot I didn't see. When you walk up to G.O. you sign waivers, pay the fee and are gathered in an area for instructions. The man who provided the instructions was very informative. Advised us of areas in Flathead Lake to avoid including a rough water area and a few bald eagle's nests as they recently laid eggs. After instructions, you are provided with the kayak, paddle, life jacket and a cart to roll the kayak down to the lake. Now, I'm pretty strong but the kayaks are heavy. I did think to myself, how would someone with less strength get this kayak down to the lake? Something to ask about if you are renting as it is several yards to walk with a heavy kayak. The carts were easy to remove and stash while we spent the day in the lake. When you finish kayaking, you simply load the kayak back on the cart and roll it back to G.O., drop off gear and you are done. We had a great experience with Glacier Outfitters and would use them again.

Absolute worst experience I have ever had at a Lethbridge Business. I brought my bike in for a tune…read moreup and new tires in the Spring. ($180) It was returned and besides different tires, it looked just as dusty and dirty as it did when I brought it in. But, I didn't expect it washed, so I thought nothing of it. Until I rode it and began screeching. Loudly. Pedaling or just coasting. I've had this bike for years and it has never made a sound until I brought it in. I took it back in and they couldn't duplicate the sound, but said to record the sound if it does it again and bring it back in no problem so they could solve the problem. They also said that the chain looked rusty and dry and could go for some chain lube. (I came to learn later that greasing a chain is part of a tune up. That chain was rusty and dry AFTER the tune up.) So, we went out and bought chain lube ($15) and greased it. Two rides later, the screeching was back in full force. So, brought it back in and a different guy asked me, loudly, in a crowded store, how much I weighed as that might be why it's squeaking. I've ridden this bike for years at the same weight and it has never made a sound until I brought it in. I digress. I leave the bike there for a week and half until they can get to it. They phone. There is a broken part they found after working on it for 6 hours. It would cost over 150 dollars to fix the part. We tell them no. We go to pick up the bike and are charged for them checking it over and breaking and needing to replace some plastic on the spokes. We are charged almost $70 for looking at the bike. So, now we have spent over $250 on a bike that sounds worse than when we brought it in for a routine tune up, have to go out and buy a new bike, and have worse self esteem and anxiety than when we started this whole process of my 70 year old dad trying to do something nice for me by having my older bike tuned up. I would never recommend this store and in the future, would just replace a bike every few years rather then have it tuned up, as it is just not worth the stress of dealing with Bert and Macs.

Pat's is a simple gas station and convenience store located in the quaint mountain town of Waterton…read moreLakes National Park. It's actually right in the heart of all the action. I give them credit. It's sort of a "throwback" type of gas station that....is inviting to the eye and makes you want to go inside and check out what they offer. I did buy a couple of keychains, magnets and postcards from them. Waterton is this little secluded vacation spot that's part of the Glacier-Waterton Cooperative International Peace Park. Once you arrive here, it's sort of a backdoors getaway that has a flavor of its own. Reason why I'm mentioning this is because...Pat's is the only place in town you can find gas. They also sell supplies, snacks and the little extras. Always a plus to offer the basic necessities. Though...their main form of business was renting bicycles! Let me explain... For my first time visiting Waterton last month.....I had learned and overheard that there had been a breakout fire in the area and a few of the natural attractions to explore were off limits to automobiles. Ah so....although a few of the touristy sights wouldn't allow for cars, bicycles were permitted (along with walking and hiking if you cared to trek so far). And this is why Pat's offered what seemed like an infinite amount of bicycles for rental.....and why bikes were being checked out quite quickly. By the time I grasped onto what was going on....there were only so many bikes left available. Here's a few details from my experience... 2 specific attractions (due to fires) were only permitting bicycles for passageway... Akamina Parkway and Red Rock Parkway. Both these roads, situated in and around the outskirts of Waterton were each roughly 8 - 9 miles (one way), scenic roads that lead to beautiful surroundings as you made your way towards the end of both parkways. From there, you could explore the picturesque conditions and appreciate the views from all different directions. From Akamina Parkway...Cameron Lake was mentioned as quite the spot to walk around and relax. Since 8 - 9 miles each way negates really hiking these parkways, ...bicycles were the only form of transportation. So I went with the herd and rented a mountain bike for the first day of my visit here. I left my car in a free parking lot across the street from Pat's. I then rented a bike...though I didn't know how long it would take me to navigate either of the parkways. The employee inside Pat's said well...it's $60 - Canadian to have the bike for the entire day. No problem....when I paid w/ credit card.....it came to $47 - US dollars. Yeah, I must admit...I used the bike to ride around town taking in the sights which was quite nice. But then I rode just out of Waterton and started navigating Akamina Parkway. Wow....what a mistake!!! Not only was Akamina Parkway totally going uphill the entire way....but the wind was against me and quite ferocious. Oh my....countless times I got off the bike and walked. It was a struggle to say the least! After maybe 7 miles and wasting 2.5 hours going one way on Akamina Parkway.....I said enough and turned around. Now going back downhill and with the wind......I barely pedaled and returned back to town in about 15 minutes! During my experience riding the bike....other tourists and visitors stopped me and told me I rented the wrong bike! They said I needed to rent an E-BIKE! Yes an E-BIKE! It has a built in motor that assists you while pedaling and makes for any ride or commute quite easy. Wow what was I thinking? Though Pat's never mentioned to me anything about an E-Bike! Literally, I haven't rode a bike in about 25 years. What did I know about new technology? Anyways, when I finished my rental for the day...I asked back at Pat's how much an E-Bike cost to rent. They mentioned it was $30 for the 1st hour...and $20 each additional hour. And...they don't offer all day rentals on these e-bikes like they do for mountain bikes. Unfortunately although I was spending a 2nd day at Waterton...I considered an E- Bike...but didn't want to be pressed for how much time I would need to use it. Ultimately, I just passed. I tried walking Red Rock Parkway but that was quite a mistake. Oh well, I guess nature does have its drawbacks and fires is one of them. I had to accept I couldn't explore everything I had intended on. Just a few things...my mountain bike rental for the day, wow...the SEAT was so UNCOMFORTABLE my "undercarriage" hurt for days. I had trouble walking that's how unbearable the bike ride was. Also, Akamina Parkway was quite disappointing in terms of scenery. It wasn't pretty at all and although I never made it to Cameron Lake, my whole ride offered virtually nothing exciting. Hopefully for 2020 and beyond, both Akamina and Red Rock Parkways will be passable for cars. Then I can't imagine Pat's bicycle rentals being popular whatsoever. It'll just remain a straightforward quick stop gas station in the center of Waterton.

Of all the mechanics I've encountered, John is by far the most honest and generous. To any woman…read more(and man) - he is the only mechanic I recommend you. If you are a female, you know how the other mechanics usually are - overcharging, lying about issues to make you pay more, just using your innocence to take more from you. John is actually trying to repair your broken trust by going the extra mile anytime. He made me room when he was fully booked to inspect the bike I was buying, solely because he heard on the phone I was a female, and didn't want me to be abused by another mechanic. He told me all the issues he's noticed and gave the best advice. He's done an amazing job repairing, kept the costs as low as he could, and his airbrush skills are unrivalled - so lifelike ! To try it is truly to adopt it. I don't think the world knows another shop as righteous as Full Throttle.

Second time going and approved for financing I was sold the bike but would throw nothing in. Recently going in in July, I got treated very rudely when I did not call in my order for an oil filter and oil. As I purchased a $9,000 bike I have gotten treated horribly. Would not recommend them to anyone unless in dire need. I reccomend Lethbridge Honda centre. They have went out of there way to help me where New-Way wouldn't. If you want a Kawasaki go to Calgary. Get a salesman who is helpful And nice to deal with.
