I have been a patient of Dr. O'Connell for many years now and I have had only great experiences…read morewith everyone there. The front desk staff are friendly, helpful and always willing to try and find you an appointment time and day that will work for you. Dr. O'Connell's nurse is very patient and handles messages that I send her (frequently) in a timely manner, often within a very short period of time. Kristi is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and does a fabulous job. Dr. O'Connell is the best doctor, by far that I have ever had. He is truly concerned about and committed to his patients. He does everything he possibly can to meet my needs, answers questions truthfully and explains everything to my satisfaction. I just can't imagine having a better experience anywhere else then I do at MANA North. They are all pretty amazing professionals! Thank you for all that you do. Veronica W

The front desk staff, when not gossiping about their most recent dates, which I had to listen to…read moreone day while they could not seem to get a follow-up appointment scheduled and my copay processed is rude and inconvenienced by the simplest of questions. They act as though they are too busy to help. I guess they are too busy discussing their social lives! I would send messages through the portal for an appointment and they seldom responded in a timely manner. If they did respond, they give you excuses to cover the fact that they ignored or forgot to check the portal. If you need anything within several days that is not going to happen. They will refer you to their MANA Urgent Care clinics because it is apparently too hard to schedule you with your PCP. Random charges are affixed to your account for asking a question through the portal. I have never had this happen at any of the MANA clinics before I switched to MANA-North Fayetteville. If you leave a message for the clinic manager she won't call you back. I am done with this circus I have another PCP lined up out of the MANA system. The office experience ruins the entire clinic. This review is not a reflection of the care that I received from Dr. Abby Baldwin or Dr. Lauren Thompson both are wonderful doctors and I strongly reccomend either. If you want a rude administrative staff and an office manager who does not return calls to simple questions then this is your place. Common sense and patient service seems to have left the equation.

I had a multiple disappointing experiences at this doctor's office. Any phone call placed to this…read morefacility incurs a minimum 20 minute hold time. The facility itself was dirty and poorly maintained, which immediately raised concerns about overall hygiene standards. The office staff were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in assisting patients, I was told to Google the location when I asked the address. They left out the fact that the location recently moved. APRN Martin's nurse was continually rude and dismissive. Martin specifically was nice enough in person but was overall difficult to work with, passing along rude messages via his nurse any time I left a message. Medications generally take a week to get filled, often sent to the wrong pharmacy. It will take multiple phone calls to get any requests done. It's almost like this phone tag prevents them from giving quick, complete care. I had to call to request a TB test that I needed for work FOUR times. The phlebotomists have terrible technique; they don't focus on finding the blood vessel, they stick it deep and then withdraw the needle hoping they hit a vein. They finally did, after the third stick. On top of that, the doctor was dishonest about offering telehealth appointments. I was told these were available, only to later be denied that option. To make matters worse, the doctor refused to refill a non-controlled medication without an unnecessary three-month follow-up appointment--something that felt more like a money grab than responsible care. Quality care is more than performing a list of tasks and paperwork. It is ensuring that the care is equitable to the patient's pocket and time availability. It is allowing patients to advocate for themselves and being the expert on their own body. Overall, I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for reliable, respectful, trustworthy, or competent medical care.

Last night he was rushed to the hospital which isn't any better but this should speak on who knows nothing. If he was able to see the doctor this may not have happened. Disappointed again!
