Upon arrival, the owner was sitting at a table drinking wine. There weren't any people dining, so we were the only ones. The servers and cooks were very attentive. We were immediately greeted and seated while our drink requests were taken. We always choose still water. Today, we decided to try a wine tasting, which included a blend of whites of reds from the region. The waiter explained in detail the type of wine, where it is made, what type of grapes it is made with, and the year it was made. All of the wines were very delicious. Italy takes great pride in their wines and rightfully so. We requested bruschetta and presciutto. We were given fresh, warm bread, which we mixed with salt, pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. The bread was amazing. It had a soft, warm inside and a crunchy outside. Isn't that they way bread should be served? The bruschetta was delicious as was the presciutto. The food, wine, and service were superb. We vowed that we would return for dinner, but alas, we didn't make time to do so. This is a great restaurant!

The Osteria is located at the corner of a building, with few tables outside. At night it can be easy to miss as there is not much lighting. The service was great, even though we did not speak great Italian they were understanding an took our order with ease. This is a place where you can go with friends and chill, relax after a long day. They also sold cannoli and macarons, coffees, and jarred food items. We started our wait at the bridge, which didn't look too long from there. Once we reached the door, I saw that the queue continued to snake inside. I waited an hour to finally order. They make tiramisu freshly daily, including different flavors. I felt compelled to try all 3 that they had in stock at the moment. I noticed that the flavors did switch up while I was there as employees appeared to be making new batches with a pistachio colored cream. I tried the classic tradition, amaretto & almond milk, and hazelnut. Call me crazy but the the traditional one was my least favorite of the 3. Sure, it was a tasty tiramisu, but this is the best in all of Venice? The other 2, however, exceeded my expectations. The hazelnut tasted like a Ferrero Rocher, and the amaretto & almond milk was my favorite since I'm a huge fan of marzipan type of flavors.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Coop while we were walking around at night on Cannaregio island. We stopped to get water and I also needed to Kefer for a boost of probiotics. They were more affordable than other grocery chains but it was super busy and chaotic. We were in the self check-out area when the machines started breaking down and the folks in front of us were stuck waiting for staff assistance. We had to go to the cashiers. The lines were all long, but to their credit staff was productive. Overall good value if you're patient and don't mind a little chaos.

A dizzying 600 Italian wines can be found towards the back of the store and you're welcome to stay and peruse as long as you want. We choose a half bottle of Moscato for the bf's sister in law which went well with the biscottis they had on hand too. They carry a good variety of chocolate and candies, pastas, dried goods etc. But you really need to come for the spices! Every spice known to man is here in this shop, kept in tightly sealed glass canisters or wooden boxes. They are weighed and you're charged accordingly. Don't miss their truffle salt and truffle butter! I only got mini bottles of both since there was no more room in our luggage! We couldn't be more happier with our purchases here and at a fraction of a cost if we would've gone to a big chain store. A great find!

My girlfriend and I happened to stumble upon this place a couple months back when travelling within Europe. It was a hot day, and we were straight up lost in Venice. We were exploring and aimlessly roaming the streets in search of a cheap snack. This place did not disappoint. The cheeses here are cheap and to die for. They have this incredible 70 cent buffalo mozzarella in the refrigerated section. We paired that with some fresh bread, cured meats and there we had it. A cheap and DELICIOUS meal for literally under 5 are. This place is a little gem that can meet anyone's needs within the area.
