They have everything and I mean that. Indoor plants, outdoor plants, annuals, perennials, succulents, fertilizers, gardening tools... plus all the extras you didn't know you needed until you see them. It's super easy to get inspired just walking through. One of my favorite parts is their hardscaping section. The waterfall displays, koi pond setups, and full outdoor kitchen/grill areas are so fun to look at it's like Pinterest came to life, but dangerous for your wallet if you get ideas The greenhouse itself is always worth wandering through. Rows and rows of healthy plants, tons of variety, and plenty to choose from no matter what you're planting. It's one of those places where you'll find something new every time you go. Pricing is pretty comparable to other local spots not cheap, but fair for the quality. They also send out coupons in local flyers, which is a nice little bonus. I've seen deals like half off a perennial or a free petunia with a purchase, which makes it even easier to justify grabbing "just one more." Overall, this is another must stop every season for me right up there with Fry's. Whether you're shopping with a plan or just browsing for inspiration, you'll find something worth bringing home.

The lack of customer service by one employee at Umbergers is beyond atrocious, and he happens to be…read morepart owner of the store, Nevin. Its the first time I ever used their service dept , and you couldn't pay me to go back!! I gave them 2 mowers to get regular services done, oil change , blade sharpened etc... the usual stuff that needs to be done going into the mowing season. got the first mower back, bill was $109 (not bad) . First time we used it it didn't seem to run right , and the self propelled system didn't work. no problem , took it back in. In the mean time my wife went to pick up the second mower and was hit with a bill for $296 dollars, three dollars less THAN WHAT I PAID FOR IT NEW!!!!! So we went to use the second one the next week, the cover shield wasn't screwed back on, and it spit oil all over the frame!!! Took that one back in!! after them having them for several weeks I called to see the progress, that's when I talked to Nevin. he said that the second one didn't have the engine connected to the frame!!! it was gonna be another $250 dollars to get it running!!! after I explained that I wasn't paying another 250! I told him I used it one time!!! he began questioning basically accusing me of lying....his comment was"so you are telling me you cut grass one time in the last month, I find that hard to believe!!" I explained to him the mowers were for rental properties and that I was paying a service to cut the grass!!! he said at that point that he would get back to me. after several days of not hearing from him I called there, he proceeded to tell me that he had parts ordered, and although he 'DIDN"T think it was the right thing to do, he wouldn't charge me!!' WHAT!!! after two days of him having the mower he called me back saying that we "had a problem!!" The mowers engine was shot, and they don't make parts for the one that the self propelled wasn't working! couldn't repair it!! I asked what he suggested and he said he would give me a discount on a new mower!! I asked him if I could get the $405 dollars I paid him for the mowers I used ONCE each after he had them, his response was "I cant afford to do that!!! the I asked why he expected me to be out $405 dollars for two mowers I paid him to FIX, and now are non functional?? After getting my one mower back that that the self propel system wasn t working I called another repair service and they assured me that ,YES they do make parts to fix that system!!! Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!! Buyer beware!!

They all did incredibly well. Really delicious tomatoes - Lyda Ukraine, I think? - and the peppers were surprisingly pretty. The flowering plants all came back again this spring and are looking great. Highly recommend this nursery for plants suited to growing in the central Pennsylvania area. And at excellent prices, too. Definitely headed back this spring to pick up some more tomatoes and maybe bleeding hearts.

We stopped in early April (which is still pretty early), and they already had a ton to choose from. I was on a mission for mint because apparently I need every variation that exists and they had several kinds in stock. The one I was looking for specifically wasn't in yet, but they were super helpful and said it should be coming in later. Even this early in the season, the selection was solid: flowers, herbs, succulents, pre-made planters, and even little terrarium setups. And if you've been here before, you already know... it only gets better as the season ramps up. Peak planting season here is next level. One of my favorite parts is walking in and seeing their little water garden setup it's such a calming, "okay I'm about to spend money" moment. The whole place just feels like a reset. Prices are about average not cheap, but you're also not getting junk. Everything looks healthy, well cared for, and worth it. Overall: 5/5. If you garden, even a little, this place will get you.

As luck would have it, I was nearby for the City of Harrisburg's Ice & Fire Festival and realized the shop was only a short walk from the main festivities. I took that as a sign from the universe that I should probably stop in...and see about bringing home at least one new houseplant. #yolo I arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and found the shop well stocked, with the front door open and a welcoming sign on the sidewalk letting folks know the shop was open. Always a good sign when you're plant shopping. The moment I stepped inside, I loved the vibe. Crystals. Beautiful houseplants. Eclectic décor. Displays that were clearly mindfully curated instead of just being set up randomly. The shop felt welcoming, creative, and thoughtfully put together. I spent a good amount of time browsing...and browsing...and browsing some more. There were a lot of plants I wanted to bring home with me, but I also had to remind myself that my house only has so much room for plants. The prices felt reasonable, the plants looked incredibly healthy, and everything appeared to be very well cared for. The shop itself was bright, clean, and the owner was super pleasant. I had my eye on a Black ZZ plant for my collection, but I specifically wanted a smaller one so I could have the satisfaction of growing it from a baby plant into something bigger. There were a few Black ZZ plants in the shop, but they were all larger plants, which wasn't quite what I was looking for. I figured it was worth asking if there might be any smaller ones that I had missed. The owner said she didn't have any smaller ones available, but then immediately offered to split one of the larger plants and sell me a smaller portion on the spot. Talk about incredible customer service! She pulled out her supplies and did a mini repotting demonstration right there in the shop for me and a few other customers who happened to be there. It was honestly really cool watching my little plant baby be "born" into its own pot so I could take it home with me. I really appreciated her willingness to help me get exactly what I was looking for, and I was more than happy to support her small business in return. I couldn't be happier to check another wish-list plant off my list thanks to The Plant Witch. My houseplant collection appears to be entering a rapid growth phase...and I'm not entirely sure I'm in control anymore. I'll definitely be stopping back the next time I'm in the area. This shop has officially earned a spot on my regular rotation of places to visit when I'm in the mood to buy plants... which, if I'm being honest, is happening more and more often these days.
