Opal is the sweetest girl. She was delivered to me in Laurel, Maryland on Friday, April 19th. She's made my apartment a home. There hasn't been a dull moment since she arrived. Opal is super friendly and loves being the center of attention. On our twice daily walks, she always seeks out her favorites: Adrian (the lifeguard from Colombia, South America who just graduated college with a degree in engineering), Cynthia (the concierge who works this second job to support her daughter through college) and Roy (the friendliest and best neighbor). I've lived in my community since June 22, 2022. Because of Opal, I get out to daily walk by the pool, bbq grills, our mini dog park and all parts of our community and have met the most amazing people. Opal is an extrovert to my introvert. Everyone loves her and thinks she's adorable. She's also very smart. Whether at the dog park, restaurant, dog trainer or veterinarian, all love Opal and she demands their attention as she runs to them and stands up their leg for petting or gallops, hops and chases them (dogs too) on our walks. Opal has even Facetimed with Adrian the lifeguard's mother who is in Colombia, South America. She said that Opal is a beautiful dog. Working with Fernweh Schnauzers was really good. They promised a well socialized puppy and I got my Opal. Everything was easy from deposit to delivery. And once Opal is soon spayed and her hernia fixed, they've promised to reimburse me for the hernia surgery without me even asking. They told me about the surgery before she arrived on 4/19/2024. If you want to adopt an adorable miniature schnauzer, I only recommend that you adopt from this family and you'll fall in love like I have with Opal. All love Opal. I love her most. We got our puppy from these people due to their website but we had so much trouble contacting them . They don't return phone calls even after a couple of days. We got no information about when she was born until the day we picked her up and no baby pictures until we picked her up. We weren't even sure till we saw her that the breeder would show up. Their dogs cost $2300 ( maybe more now) and we've heard that this is really on the high end. Our dog is fine and we love her but I wouldn't deal with this couple again. read more

I lost my schnauzer, Ziggy, as well as everything I owned in a terrible house fire at the end of this past August. After 2 months, I reached out to Fernweh for an adorable puppy (kennel name Adam). Erica Wysong of Fernweh was beyond kind and compassionate supporting me through a very rough-patch in my recovery. Once Erica's litters are potty trained, they sleep with her 2 children! I was very excited to know that I would get a young puppy who was both potty trained AND raised around children! There is no breeder I know who does that much less the care in which her baby schnauzers are raised. I selected a puppy from her choices (Adam), now named Dingo. This little guy stole my heart at first glance. Erica even went so far as meeting at the airport with her small son, delivering Dingo, a full care-package much less considering her 2-hour round-trip drive!
