I forget the name of who helped us but it was the buff islander guy who works part time. He was very knowledgeable and informed us of the sales and explained that this store carries blemishes from the factory that they are unable to sell in their normal stores because of their own standards. He showed us the difference with one tool being "too teal" for the Ryobi and now being sold as a "manufacturer blemish..." This store also sells "remanufactured tools as well. The original box is new and the ones outside the boxes are re-manufactured. There is an awesome selection and the Ryobi is for households and not so much for using for work. The remanufacturered still came with a warranty as well as the manufacturer blemish tools. Would highly recommend this store for your household needs, was cheaper than tools I hD waited to go on sale and a different a brand. Will definitely be back!

I'm not much of a tool guy or know much about them, hence I went there to buy my wife a power drill because she's the handy one in the house not me, yeah I know what kind of man are you Andy? Well I'm a good man that does yard work & cooks but I ain't building shit, that's why I buy her power drills, I know that sounds kind of weird & funny but hey it works for us. I went there on a Sunday not knowing what to get or was looking for I know I looked more lost than Stevie Wonder in a dark room, Mo must of noticed & came over to help me. I'm glad he did, he helped me pick a great drill for my wife & a few items for me to do my yard work, the guy was really helpful & cool. This place has very affordable items & good brands, my tool spot now. Thanks Direct Tool Factory & Mo, see you guys soon when my wife needs another power tool :)

Very Very Very disappointing experience at the Home Depot on Dennery Road in San Diego. This…read moremorning at 6:50am. I'm a commercial account holder for 27 years, and I'm definitely not someone who returns items. In fact, I almost never write negative reviews, but this experience really deserved one. I purchased fence post for a job but realized it wouldn't fit in my two-seater car, so I had an employee process the return which we had the receipt for so no questions on product return!! When I went to use the $164 credit toward another purchase, they refused to allow it because the employee was with me had handled the return since I have a two seater car. Being a property manager I buy on workers and subcontractors to buy products not actually myself. What really topped it off is that I had the receipt, yet they still wouldn't help resolve the situation. For a commercial account customer with proof of purchase, that's just ignorant and obviously she has a major POWER TRIP with her store manager title. The manager, Graciela, showed very very poor customer service. Instead of trying to find a reasonable solution, she simply refused to help and shut the conversation down. Just keeping a very poor expression on her face. Wouldn't even try to help!! To make matters worse, the store was out of stock on multiple items, making the whole trip even more frustrating and I will never go to this store again!! I'd rather drive an extra 20 mins to Lowe's than return back to this Home Depot!! Overall, this location one of the worst customer service and poor inventory management. I'd recommend going to another Home Depot or Lowe's!!

One feature that I believe a lot of people don't use is the rental truck feature here. I've rented a truck here about three times for an hour and it really helps it. It's inexpensive and if you need to move furniture plants, etc. it's so much easier and cheaper than getting a U-Haul.

I needed help fast…read more The local Home Depot was approaching closing time, and my broken Moen shower handle wasn't about to make things easier. It would no longer turn on the water, just rotating without hope, due to the brittle center post shattering and losing grip on the valve stem. No grip. No water. It was that simple. Then along comes Home Depot team member, Chris. He joined me in the plumbing aisle and helped me find a Moen replacement handle from the wall of choices. But the packaging made it impossible to see the inside of the handle, so we decided to audition the two that looked about right. But which to buy? Chris solved that problem with his box cutter, slicing open BOTH of them for me to inspect. And select, I did. Chis was the key. He helped me in a moment when that big-name, online retailer was only a display on a screen. There are some times, my friends, when a human being is essential to finding the right fit just before closing time. Home Depot makes that happen. Every day. When it counts most.

I placed an online order at Home Depot today because I'm still recovering from a work injury and…read morehave trouble walking for long periods. I ordered online one 2x4x8 and six 2x1x8s for convenience. When I arrived for pickup, no one was at the online order desk. A friendly lady called out that someone would be with me shortly. It didn't take too long, but after I showed my order, they told me I'd have to wait another 10-15 minutes because my lumber was still in the back and the person bringing it up was helping another customer. I understood, things get busy. Once they brought everything out, I quickly counted the pieces, and rolled it out to my vehicle. While trying to load the 8-foot boards, I noticed one of the 2x1x8s had a huge chunk missing where a knot had fallen out. My injury was already bothering me, but I grabbed the bad piece and went back inside. The same pleasant lady helped me again. She said someone would get me a replacement. I mentioned that the rest of the wood was sticking out of my truck and wasn't secured, and she reassured me she'd bring the new piece out. After a few more minutes, I met her halfway in the parking lot, got the replacement, loaded it up, and headed home. When I got home and started sorting through everything, I realized the problem was bigger than just the one bad board. Whoever pulled my order had given me some of the dirtiest, most damaged, and least straight 2x1x8s they had. That explained the obvious defective piece. The 2x4x8 wasn't much better, it looked like it had been pulled from the bottom of a stack and was dirty with strap marks and damage. Literally looks like they gave me shit wood on purpose. I was really disappointed. I normally go in and pick out my own lumber so I can choose decent pieces, but I trusted them to handle it for me this one time. I won't be doing any more online lumber orders cuz they clearly don't care what they pull. The only good part of the whole experience was the courteous lady who helped me from start to finish. Now I'm stuck using this trashy wood for my project.
